would, but I have next to no tools and I dont like that style of tensioner thanks anyway, looks pretty proffesional
-
ok heres the deal punks! I am wanting to get a tensioner for when off duty from comps, combine one with my unbreakable hangers I will never have to worry about sliiping to my right I am really put off by the "normal" range thats out there. Surly and the dmr are apparently too weak in the spring department. Not keen on the fresh and dmr simple tensioner, seems like a lot of hassle to take the wheel out. I have rounded it up to Two (possibly three) models. 1) paul melvin 2)soulcraft convert 3)Rohloff tensioner The paul and soulcraft look pretty tough and Iolo has the Rohloff and that put up with a lot. Its just a lot of money to spend, so I could do with reasurence really. or shall I be the guineepig and test one? Also how are webcyclery to deal with? they ok sending to the uk? cheers dudes and dudets

ashton was saying somthing to me at the bikeshow, he said somthing like he almost or did land a tailwhip sidehop drop on his 24" It was a while ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzled. I know theres loads of stuff I wanna learn, including no footers, no handers, bar spins, tailwhips etc.......I doubt I'll ever land any though

I got the arcade fire album, it rocks! some gloves a big bar of chocolate guinnes book of records 2006 (Ithink my parents got me that as a last resort to at least get me somthing.....I didnt really want or ask for anything) Bikeshop sent me my new uniform, a nice warm mid layer Gill top, its VERY nice. my bro is comming up on tues, so one more pressie then and on wed we are going up to see my grandpa, uncle, aunty and cousin, so two more pressies then. Got nothing to do now, so I am making some stuff for my bike, including unbreakable mech hangers...whoop!

opened them a moment ago, I got: Arcade Fire album (f**king ace!) a belt (much needed) some gloves (my old ones irritated me, so thats nice) guinnise book of records 2006 (not really my thing, but its alright) biiig block of chocolate (Iwill feel guilty eating it, my teeth are bad enough as it is ) got a pressie off my work (blazing saddle bike shop) its a Gill top, with the shops name on, very soft and warm, its nice my brother is comming on tuesday and then we are all going to my uncle and aunts house, so more pressies to come

took aaages to find a decent one with my name

ready for some constructive critisism? do you only ever do gaps and sidehops? Just that the vid was very repetatve. Sure you were in different places, but you were doing the same thing, you only ever did anything that required setting up on the back wheel, you can use the front as well you know I find the same from quite a few young riders (mostly on mods, dam I hate mods!!) try somthing different, experiment. I didnt watch it with the sound, so I cant comment on that and editing.

I say ride it instead of worrying about what to upgrade. Replace things as they break or wear out.

I have just made an ultra pimp protector for my ashton, nice and small, wont smash, carbon outer layer I'll post a pic in a sec EDIT:
-
marta!! best brake ever super light, super powerful, really really nice brakes.
-
before you buy somthing, make the chain as short as possible, the spring in the mech will be tighter then putting more force on the chain to make it tighter, this is normally enough to stop the problem.
-
check ebay, they sometimes have pimp rare stems (like syncros) in weird lengths and rises and for cheap as no one ever wants them
-
I kinda take it a stage further, I have a different set of wheels with tyres already on, takes 2 mins to swap them over. I mainly do it for comps though, keeps my comp tyres nice and sharp.

no, cramp is different to arm pump. cramp is pain in the muscles arm pump is numbness in the hands and arms (what I get....badly) I get cramp in my hands if I go on a trials motorbike, but that because I aint used to it. If I have new shoes or pedals, I can quite often get cramp in my feet, thats annoying

Ali C hates turkey and chicken, so they are off the menue I hope. I really want it to be the best meat ever....pork, with lots of fat! mmmmmmmmmmm
-
I am getting.......errmmm.....I have no idea I think my mum and dad might take my camcorder to get fixed as my pressie, dont know for sure though.
-
another vote for the koxx greens, ruddy good on a grind!!!
-
yep, they are good for those things, but to ride them is just.....errrmmm......boring really. the way some people ride mods you wonder if they even need a chain or wheels at all
-
they are fun, at times. I just dont get any satisfaction from riding them at all, I rode mod for two years, it has nothing on stock!
-
lol, make a vid to see how far you can gap off it narr, by preload I meant squash into the bike a bit more as you leave the edge, and try to soak it up more if you can, the angle was a bit hard to tell how much you wee doing so.
-
I am gonna have to put somthing in my sig, "mods within 10 yards of me will have their tyres slashed"
-
were you jumping out aswell as down? also preload more and get some arm muscles to hold on better lol
-
as I hate mods with a passion I am gonna say stock. BUT!! if money is an issue, the mods start at lower prices. That biketrials site is really out of date, I wouldnt base your choice on that. heres how I see it MODS Pros: lighter easier to learn stuff total control of bike stronger wheels (not by much nowerdays though) Cons: look stupid (debatable ) are too easy to ride, you dont learn valuable skills a heavier harder bike will teach. can feel really twitchy to ride cant roll over rough terrain as well. STOCK Pros: looks nicer (well, most of them ) more stable (doesnt feel like an exspensive pogo stick) teaches valuable riding skills roll over stuff easier cons: Takes longer to get good on one mech to brake off (unless you dont run one) wheels are easier to buckle (not by much nowerdays though) heavier I say go stock, you will end up a better rider in the long run, the extra weight will build muscles faster, you will learn not to be relient on a bash plate and if you ever do get a mod in the future, you will be extra good on one.
