FFS... Here we go... Posts/threads like these count as spam. Want to know when something is coming out, pm the people who would know and ask them. You were validated because like every other full member on this forum you were deigned to have more than 2 braincells: do try and use them and not clog up the forum. Joe, Danny, theres a report button for a reason, so that people can just calmly and rationaly draw a moderators attention to whatever situation you think needs remedying. Using it would be a grand idea. Really?! Who's stocking it? Again, it was assumed when you were validated that neurological movement was present inside of your skull. And no-one is allowed to dish out orders around here except for the six or so guys who run this place. Again, report buttons do wonders for solving things. Rich

1. I don't think the lass over Bessels right shoulder quite gets what the different hand signs mean 2. I think that pic of Nick G sidehopping onto the rail is one of the most beautiful peices of trials art I've ever seen. and 3. ... ...your avatar is f**king hilarious and I just wanted to let you know. Good stuff. Rich

So, the guy who makes trials bikes, what is HIS full, actual name? I'm still confused...

Nah Dan, I'm after the one that comes on after that as the camera just pans over the roads and desserts with the credits rolling. Rich

The south is already covered in a competition format by the West of England Motor Cycle Club and the Hampshire Biketrial club, and also partially by the Essex Bike trials Club, so I'm guessing (if you've done your research, which I assume you have) you're looking to organise a group of riders for group rides, training and possibly some form of a competition championship. People you ought to talk to in reference to this wouldbe Terry Graves and/or Phill Tupman who basically run the south of Englands trials cicuit. Their contact details can be found on the biketrial UK website. The thing is though, if you're looking into starting a club for trials; you are probably actively passionate about the sport, and so shouldn't have to ask opinions from us, you should be able to form your own in reference to what you want this club to be. France This Summer (july/august)
Rich Pearson replied to Will Arnold's topic in Member Organised Rides
f**k it, road trip. Me and Ben'll probably be there. I might drive myself and then head on down to my dads (Bergerac, about 400 miles south) for a week or two. Keep us posted will Rich -
1. Make sure the brake is set up PROPERLY (slacken off the mount bolts, tighten the pads on the disc, tighten the mount bolts, etc) 2. Make sure the cable has the most direct route from the lever to the caliper. Even ziptying it to the forks or frame will cause enough of a kink to tighten the cables movement. A linear slic cable will help alot with this. 3. Try and set it up using the barrel adjusters on the levers as LITTLE as possible. make sure the pads are mounted in the caliper properly. Following those guidlines SHOULD give you a nice, smooth feeling brake. Rich

Hit the nail on the head there luke. We are apreciative of what Deng has done for the industry and without the massive amount of work he's put into long and low frames trials would be a different sport altogether. We just wanted to create something similar with more customer care to it and a more homely touch. the tumper video is coming along really well and I hope when people see it it'll encourage them to think more positively about this expansion of Leeson's already outstanding track record of inovation in design. Thanks for the comments, keep them coming. Rich

Song from the credits of Deilvs Rejcts anyone? Really chilled out just guitars and vocals. Double rimjob for anyone who can find a torrent for it. Rich

What you wrote wasn't a bad comment it was a poorly phrased short minded piece of slander. I'm happy to take constructive criticism off people, I'm not happy in the slightest for people to stand there as Joe f**king Bloggs and give me their 10 pence worth of slating with nothing supporting it. Seriously, don't bother replying to this at all, I can't be bothered with this in the slightest. Rich

I might attribute this to having just done an 11 hour shift and have to get up in few hours to go back to work, but how f**king dare you say that. How f**king dare you deign to tell me what is good and what is bad Clive did not hate making it, if he did, he's lied to me on several ocasions. Clive Leeson is one of the few open minded people in the bike industry and is always ready to try something new, and he has always been happy to see his riders and the bikes he made for them do well. The fact that I beat some of the best people in the country on that frame at a recent hampshire comp is testimount to that. Prawn may have his doubts about that frame and Leeson as a manufacturer in general, but at least he has the guts to say that it does work, and that he at least can spot good, well thought out engineering when he sees it. As for telling ME its bad; do you think me and clive spent 5 months studying every other frame in the industry and what has been faulty with them, spent hours in the pub drawing on napkins a cigarette packets, looked at the design of long and low TGS frames from every possible angle, took input from some of the best riders and designers in the country such as Ali C, Fat Mike and Bigman to make something that he actually didn't like? I don't know where you got your information from about this and on what grounds you're making this assumption, but you clearly don't know clive leeson; a man who would never HATE to create something. I've never met you but I think that I'm almost ashamed to say that I ride a leeson seeing as someone as narrow minded as you does aswell. Rich

I think if I knew what I was really doing inch wise, I'd probably quit. I'm happier not knowing and just riding. If it looks big, it usually is. Rich

Sounds like you've gone the right way about it at least. Wait for her to get in touch, just don't try being clever and perhaps speak to someone (mum or dad) who can you could explain it to more clearly. If I had to say, i'd say you were in the wrong as you were on the pavement and she wouldn't/shouldn't be expecting a cyclist to be coming down the pavement. But as I say, without a really, REALLY detailed explanation, I couldn't say for sure. Whatever happens, count yourself lucky, everyone on this forum and especially those who were in abingdon last saturday know only too well how badly wrong car accidents can go. Rich
