  2. 10-15pounds There are comps held in most areas of the country, with the DJ rounds in the south west, Hampshire in the south, essex in the east and Tykes in the north, along with many others. 90% of these competitions will be on natural terrain. www.biketrialuk.co.uk You need an ACU license to ride club trials and a BIU license to ride the Nationals. Info on biketrialuk.co.uk In club trials you can enter whichever route you wish. At the brits, the route you ride is determined by a combination of your age and ability. You will get penalised and possibly disqualified if you attempt to RIDE a section before the comp starts or even when it has started and it is not your turn to do so. You are allowed to WALK the section at anytime except when there is a rider attempting it. At club trials no. Nationals, not entirely sure. Details can be found on biketrialuk.co.uk Hope that helps. Rich
  3. Does that guys bike just weigh nothing? Awesome stuuf. Felix's riding looks so much better with music I reckon. Rich
  4. Damn right Wayne. Like I said, this was my first time at the Brits and I got to say the thing that put me off more than anything was people shouting and screaming when the made mistakes, and people taking everything too seriously. Which ties in to my response with Daves comment about wanting trials to become bigger; trials will never be a big and recognised sport until everyone becomes much more united. Everyone seems to want to climb to the top of the ladder and the be the first Biketrials Champion the public sees when the sport does go public, except that because of this almost Machievellian attitude where people take it far too seriously, Trials will NEVER become a publicly recognised sport. Think about it, we must look like the biggest bunch of squabbling children (I would include myself in that discription) to half the general public, and a group of vandals to the other half. People like Andrei Burton are trying their hardest to bring trials to the massess, along with others like Chris Akrigg and Martyn Ashton, but when these people get screwed over by a technicality you've got to wonder, "why?" I can't and shouldn't reveal too much about what Andrei's doing this year as he'll get unindated with idiots asking when will this happen and when will that happen, but he - and many others - are working so f**king hard for the sport of trials and its getting thrown back in his face by some of his fellow competitors; that is why the sport will never get public recognition, because you can forget about people like the government or the general public cutting us down - who give literally billions every year to other sports like football and the olympics - when there are people within this very sport who are smothering it before its had a chance to breathe. I'd love to see it happen Dave, I really would, and your sons and people like Wayne, and Chris Akrigg and Andrei are the people that are gonna make it happen. But we'll just have to wait and see. Rich
  5. Just bumped into Lois at the brits round last weekend............ Hell yes I still would. Although Griff is just asking for it...... Rich
  6. Me too! I have just got the most unbelievable Hobnobs hangup..... Rich
  7. Sex has come very close to ruining my life in many ways over the years. I lost my virginity at 16 to a 23 year old, a factor I havn't really come to appreciate until recently. Before then I looked at sex as something I HAD to do otherwise, 'I wouldn't be cool, because, like, everyone else is doing it, y'know.' Because of that attitude I had I very nearly ended up in court on rape charges (a very long story I am not going to explain except to say I didn't actually rape anyone...) Since I lost my virginity I fell in and out of a great number of peoples beds, male and female, younger and older, drunk or on drugs. After a while it meant nothing. I had a friend who's since moved away, and I remember how we used to sleep together on a casual basis AND then go and sleep with other people, and I remember one time she asked me over and I just said no. I never realised I'd get tired of sex; which isn't me bragging so much as illustrating a point. I have got people pregnant, caught my fair share of STI's (clean now I'll have you know...), seen people crying and seen people in pain, and I don't want to relive any of that. I'm with this kick-ass girl now called Rochelle, it's our six month anniversary this weekend and the only thing I want to do is tell her that I love her. So the answer to the question: Sex is what I had with all those people before I met Rochelle. Making love is what we do now. And you can never really know/appreciate one without experiencing the other. Sex is like motorways, machine guns or hard drugs; treat them with respect, and everything will go peachy. Don't, and they will eat you alive. Rich
  8. Awesome video, well done for being so amazing you can ride with your arm in a cast. Now, shut up about it, and maybe give your wrist the time to heal that it needs so you never have to have a cast again and I never need to see another damn "Recovery Video 42840, etc, etc..." Rich
  9. Awesome video, reminded me of the indoor moto-trials rounds. And Vincents little flicky thing to get himself out of trouble at about 4:48 was brilliant. Rich
  10. Nah still can't get my head around it. Tv.isg.si anyone? Rich
  11. It was absolutely awesome, I had an amazing day. Although I just have one thing to say Mr. Jones.... Where the hell did you go? I walked out of the theatre, got all the lads together who'd left bikes at my place and suddenly you'd gone! Poor show mate, poor show...... Rich P.S. Buy Roam.
  12. Could have a girlfriends-of-riders wet t-shirt comp..... My missus is up for it. I'm sure the respective better halves of the likes of Staples, Wheeler and Waynio could be persuaded to join in..... Bring on mini-Nass...... Rich
  13. The red route was pretty easy but my first-time-at-brits nerves kind of let me down. Plus concussing myself on the first section is never helpful... I must say, I really didn't have the best day ever. I didn't mind paying 20quid as it seemed reasonable, and I can't say I ever got lost in a section, but I guess it was just the attitude of some riders who were taking the whole thing way too seriously. I was annoyed at myself for dropping silly dabs, I didn't have a tantrum and throw my bike around though (I only do that at Hampshire comps..... ) Andrei's mum shouting at people was hilarious, although I did feel sorry for her having to observe a pretty tricky section on her own; she managed to do herself a bit of damage trying to get form one end of the section to the other in the form of a gashed knee, but she carried on. Oh yeah, and the whole "Everyone must have gears thing" was pretty f**king ridiculous as well, as I'm pretty sure it confirmed what most people had been thinking from the last trial, seeing as (for example) Phill Williams won expert (nice one Phill ) on a 26" singlespeed bike, yet no one kicked up a fuss over it as opposed to the furore that came up around Andrei Burtons lack of gear cable at the last round. All in all............not sure I'll bother with the next one. Rich
  14. How the hell do you download it? The site is uber confusing............ Rich
  15. All the guys from Street are leaving their bikes in my house and then parking in the (basically) adjacent car park, which is five minutes walk form the theatre. You are welcome to do likewise. Rich
  16. 5th - 6th August: NBR COMP, VERWOOD, BOURNEMOUTH. 17. Yeah he added me a while back and I blocked him recently. He'd just seen one of my videos and said: I want your frame Me - Go buy one then (gave him Clive Leesons number) I want yours Me - Its not for sale Go on. Me - sorry, no I'll give you a good price, etc, etc, etc The thing is he's not actually doing anything seriously wrong, just very annoying. People like Adam Vince who used to seriously f**k people over on section7 were actual criminals, but this guy doesn't seem to be like that. Admittedly I did want to take his skin after he asked me for the nth time if my D15C was for sale, but if he does add you, give him the benefit of five minutes of your time, and then block him. But yeah if the first thing he says to you is, "gt nething 4 sl? lol" then just block the punk straight off. Rich

  20. Just spoken to a few friends and have managed to blag free camping in West Bay and in Taunton (we won't stop the night in Bristol) so thats the first leg sorted. But if people want to come or even think they might like to come but aren't sure, just post up here anyway because I need to give these people at least a rough idea of numbers. Rich
  21. Just ordered mine and Andrei's flights (I'm going out to film Andrei and get some footage for the Moment DVD) and it came out at something like 260pounds for the both of us. I kind of thought this was pretty steep as Stuart (Mattews) got his for something like 66pounds for one person, so was just wondering what other people had paid for theirs. Cheers Rich
  22. I'll be there Sue. For sure. the week before hand is also my half term from college so I'll definately be up for coming up a few days early to help set things up. I'll get in contact with Sam (Wheeler) and see if I can stay with him for a few days as I expect he'll be helping out. Rich
  23. Yeah I'll be there, looking forward to a new venue. Hopefully not as muddy ast the last one. I hate mud...... The rules as Terry puts it are that no entries can be accepted on the day and I've heard of people being turned away for trying it so, best give him a call. Rich
  24. Richard B. Riddick from Pitch Black and The Chronicals of Riddick. Would kick Chuck Norris's pansy ass from here to right over there. Rich
  25. F**king loving it. Looks like you guys had an awesome time, will definately have to try and get there next year. Does anyone else think that Benito Ros has got a bit of a DJ/FBM tribute hairstyle going on? Rich
