  1. Was just searching through my computer for clips of stuff for the TF video and came across a whole bunch of D15C footage that just never found its way into a video. eengoedidee link If you're as bored now as I was when I made this, you'll probably download simply for the sake of it. I hate insomnia. Rich EDIT: Dunno how the f**k I managed that but one of these two can deleted. Rich

  3. Me and a few others are heading over to West Bay for a ride, it'd be cool to see a few others there and anyone is welcome to join us. Weather looks...... BBC Weather (Bridport) pretty good. Come ride some natural, you know you want to. For those interested but have no idea how to get there, PM me or post here and I can help you out. See y'all on Sunday. Rich
  4. Might be able to find some old stuff. Should also get some stuff this weekend. Rich
  5. Marc Caisso's old Megamo. Rich
  6. Maybe you should say that all the yellow riders have to do their sections Manifesto style, so they get a point added for every correctional and set-up hop that they make...... You know I'm there Andy, to help and to ride. Rich
  7. 07830151250 - ring that number now. The guy on the other end should (If I've got the right number) be Simon Lord. Si is one of the best physiotherapists I've ever met (and I've met a few). He's worked with god knows how many trials riders including Neil Tunnicliffe and Dave Cleaver. He will tell you if you can or can't ride trials again. If you still want to be able to ride trials, this is the guy who will help you do it. A year ago I shattered both my talus's (spherical shaped thingy in yer ankle...) jumping out of a first floor window. The doc's told me I would never ride again and that I would most likely never walk unaided. Si changed a lot of that, and I ride all the time now and with absolutely (well, 99%) no worries. Seriously mate, give him a call, have a chat, DON'T SELL YOUR BIKE YET (and an awesome bike it is), and see what he can do for you. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Rich
  8. I'm with Wayne on this one; god I want kids, f**ked if I can afford them. But when/if I do I'd like to think I'll support the in whatever they want to do. Rich
  9. Cough........cough.......triton.....cough....... Rich
  10. I'm genuinely undecided on this one. I've always been inspired by Evolve and Revolution, yet vids from AndyT and Niof seem to almost give me that same kind of buzz. But then I don't really like Chainspotting type videos due to the elitist attitude which comes across from alot of the riders in those older UK vids. I dunno, as far as I can see its not really weather the video was made in 1996 or 2006, but different nations tend to have different approaches which are more appealing. I like vids like Island Style or Monkey Buisness or Manifesto, as much as I like the Aorta and KoxxDays vids, as they just have a much more relaxed attitude. Me, James (Porter) and Sam (Wheeler) were talking about something like this at the Hampshire comp yesterday, about the way alot of UK riders in particular have a very loud and (trying to choose my words carefully here.....) aggressive style of not riding but of personality WHEN riding. If you follow me. Probably not..... Its 11o'clock, I'm tired..... Will try and make some sense of this in the morning. Rich
  11. So.......... you like rails then? Awesome vid man. If I can offer some constructive criticism.....I (personally) hate it when people put a little bit of text into their vids saying, 'Switch' or as in yours 'bad side' with the sidehop over the rail (which was fooking sick btw). I dunno if this is just personal preference or general consensus, but to me it feels too much like people trying to say 'LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' Again awesome vid, always enjoy them. Rich
  12. I can understand where you are coming from with this 'no skipping thing' but I'm sorry, when Ash Kennard was riding it, it DID skip and threw him over the bars, almost destroying my front wheel as it rammed into the edge of the gap he was trying (no worries btw Ash K, that front wheel was on the way to death anyway....). The hub is, however, still the best hub I've had so far. Two skips in the first two weeks. Thats about a 150% mark up on old Hope XC or bulb hubs. Just cut and pasted my review from the other thread into here if this is gonna be the 'official Pro 2 Thread....' Right, the hub. Got it this morning (**notices its now saturday** friday morning) and spent most of the day pissing around putting the whole bike together as I've had new rims, had to sort out gears, new Avid caliper for the rear, and loads of other stuff to put together. I also sprayed the sidewalls of the Ronnie and Reggie black as they just looked nasty against the rest of the bike, BUT ANYWAY, the point is I didn't actually get out until well past 8 in the evening, so don't expect the best review ever. I tried to have a go at everything tonight (last night, whatever....) : taps, gaps, sidehops, static stuff, rolling stuff, and I just couldn't make the damn thing skip. Every other hub I've had, including a Chris King, has a had a bedding in period on the first few rides where its just skipped and skipped until everythings settled down. The Pro 2 just did not skip. The hub runs on four sets of pawls which is devided into two pairs. Whilst one pair is engaging, the other pair is effectively resting, and then takes up the slack as the other pair disengages. This is how the 24 pawl design (bigger pawls make for stronger hubs, but not as many can be fitted in so this usually means less engagements) is multiplied into 48 (hence the name: Pro 2; twice the engagements). It took me a while to figure out how the two pairs managed to engage at different times until I put the hub to my ear and span it very slowly. Any one who has a Pro 2 and has not noticed this, try it now. You get one loud click - thats effectively the master pawls engaging - and the next is slightly quieter, which is the small pair engaging. So when you spin it instead of just going click click click click click click click click , the Pro 2 goes click CLICK click CLICK click CLICK click CLICK. Havn't taken it apart yet to see it all working but from how Clive (Leeson) explained it thats how it works. My Pro 2 (I'm not sure about every other hub) is held in with funbolts from Hope. NOTE: The bolts issued with the current hubs are being replaced with better fitting bolts. From what I understood from Clive, the bolts are slightly smaller than the threads in the hub that the sit into. This isn't a problem as such because the difference in size is negligable and unnoticeable unless you go being really pedantic and go looking for it, but Hope apparantly are still going to send out replacement bolts for all hubs already purchased. APPARANTLY. Don't jump down my throat the second a Hope spokesman contradicts me as its just what I've been told, and the bolts issued on my Pro 2 certainly have the slight size difference. The hub also has one other nice design point, in that it builds into a totally dishless wheel. I've got mine built onto a Ronnie (from Tartybikes, cheers Dave) built up by Clive with DT spokes, and it's wierd, but I can actually feel the difference in how it rolls and feels. All in all, so far the hub is behaving like every other hub apart from the bedding in period thing, which is non-existent with the Pro 2. In reality no one is going to have a concise and accurate opinion on the hub for about another 8 months or so when any potential problems will most likely rear their head if there are any. I don't believe the Pro 2 is indistructable but I certainly think its something very special, but time will only tell how right or wrong I am. FINAL VERDICT: If you've bought one, good choice. If you havn't, what the hells wrong with you, go buy one. Essay over, sleep now. Rich
  13. He has one. He's got exactly the same camera as mine. I just havn't had the time/patience to explain to him yet how to render videos in a half decent quality............. Rich
  14. It is odd but as I said I've found the smaller 185mm to be far batter than the 203mm, not entirely sure why...... The torsion bar would be a good idea to try and incorperate. You may remember the removable one my leeson is specced out with, which sends the stress from the disc down into the BB shell. the frame has definately proved its strength, seeing as how the disc caliper actually snapped before the frame has even shown any signs of weeknesses. But yeah, other than that, looking forkin' pimpin'! Rich
  15. Not trying to shoot you down immediately, but 200mm disc........................... I'd say that was excessive to the point of inefficiency........... But don't even try and get me to explain it. Frame looks pretty damn good though, reminds me of the old woodman frames. Rich
  16. "Vasup? We here in London with Austrian gay TV, this here is Tim, Tim is a prize bitch......" or another one from TrialMedia, slightly more trialsy.... "Small wheels, small rail, good excuse. Big wheels, small rail, get on with it!" Rich
  17. Right, erm, 1. That first bail made me fully jump out of my seat. 2. The massive jump into the marina, erm...... someone's been watching new world disorder a bit too much....... 3. Wheres the place with the palm trees that he does a nice little G-turn? Doesn't look much like England........ Awesome video, really reminded me of the days of the TrialsKings. Rich
  18. From the A35 Lyndhurst to Christchurch rd, head for Bransgore village. There will be signs from the crossroads in the centre of Bransgore See you'll there Rich
  19. Get the train to Portsmouth and get Derf to bring your bike down. Or if you like I don't mind detouring through Sailisbury to pick your stead up for you. Rich
  20. lol, nice one Glenn. Did you shin yourself as well when you did it? Looked like there was some pedal shin connection going on there....... And I must say, CrankFlips: The BEST move to try with a buggered ankle...... Rich
  21. Bike: Leeson Clear 660 D15C Type: Stock Pros: Very stong and awesome back-up from Leeson. Rear disc (personal preference). Frames geo makes it awesome for competition and technical riding. Cons: Weight (4.7lbs frame only, most of it in the rear end), level BB, Price (500pounds frame only, but you get what you pay for these days). Rear disc (can be problematic at times, but then so can maguras.) What I'd Change: Raise the BB to +15mm, push the wheelbase (currently 1035mm) up to about 1050mm. Butted tubing. Recommend? Don't buy this bike if you like doing big sidehops and taps. Buy this bike if you like doing small and technical stuff as well as being able to do some 24"/BMX style street stuff. Rich
  22. You want to come to Portsmouth. You do not want to go to Bristol. Lets see if this Derren Brown shit really works........... You and Rob are more than welcome to get a lift with me if you like and come ride the comp the next day.... You know you want to..... Rich
  23. Not the best day of riding I've ever had (I'll blame poor components for my poorer riding....) but an awesome day all round. Got talking to loads of people I've never really spoken to before like Matt and Chai as well as Phill and a few others. Matt's bunnyhops on the roundabout walls were unbelieveable. Seriously I was looking for the strings holding him up. Best part of the day, the rather pretty lady in the shop who told us all to piss off, then managed to join in on the joke and have a laugh. See y'all in the summer. Rich
