  1. I think its a close one between Vincent and Fatmike for dumbest faces pulled whilst riding. Good pics though. Rich
  2. Shrewsbury getting nailed? I just saw a blur of the leeson writing on his frame then him hitting the rock..... Awesome vid stan, loving matts tricky, spinny, flick, 24" stuff. yea. Rich
  3. As several people know by now the premier of long awaited follow up to The Collective is on the 17th of April in the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton. Theres also a big ride afterwards in taunton, with trials riders, all the dirt and street riders and many others, and there are still tonnes of tickets left, and at five quid a ticket, to get to see The Collective and Roam on a big screen back to back, with an interval consisting of prize draws and probably lots of booze, you can't afford to miss out. So get on the phone and book your tickets now. Anyone is welcome to stay at my place and ride; plus its on a bank holiday monday, you got anything better to do? Come have some fun. Rich
  4. Hey all, After seeing how much fun the more central/northern orientated roadtrips seem to have been, I thought it'd be a pretty cool idea to have a go at organising one myself around the southwest. After talking to Andy from NBR, the idea seems to have taken off so I'm really just hoping to see whos interested, as theres already a fair few from around here willing to take part. Plan is: 5th - 6th August: NBR COMP, VERWOOD, BOURNEMOUTH. Andys man made comp last year was a huge success and the idea of a two day event with trials, camping and general fun in the sun has recieved loads of support, so I couldn't really think of a better starting place. 7th August: WEST BAY, BRIDPORT. West Bay is a small sea town a few miles from Bridport in Dorset. It also happens to have some of the most mental natural and street riding ever. Anyone who's seen some of my videos filmed there will know what I mean, the place is awesome. 8th August: BRISTOL. No more needs to be said really. If you havn't ridden here you've missed out. 9th August: TAUNTON, SOMERSET. My home town and base of SWTC. Lots of crazy street stuff and various other places we've found over the years. 10th August: BARNSTAPLE, NORTH DEVON. Steve, Rob and the rest of the Barny Army represent. Similar to Taunton with just loads of wicked shizzle. 11th: August: EXETER. In my opinion as good as Bristol and home town to World Championship Masters competitor Andrei Burton. 12th August: BONE HILL, DARTMOOR. This place is nuts. Another training ground of Andrei and Joe's, with some of the most fun natural stuff ever. 13th August: PLYMOUTH. The end of the line, and possibly the only city to come close to Bristol in terms for shear volume of shit to ride. Rough distance in driving is 300miles but should be well worth it. Map affixed so's people can see a bit clearer: I'll start sorting out camping/accomodation if people start replying, but I already have a fair few places in mind for free camping...... Please reply if you're interested, this isn't a ride just for the South West riders, anyone is welcome. Cheers Rich
  5. I didn't twist your words at all, nor do I think you should apologise for them. You said 'we all,' implying that you were speaking for us all and that everyone agreed with you and thought the same way as you. Thats not true because at least I don't agree and by the look of things I'm not alone. I picked out your post because 'we all' is a far less common term than 'everyone,' which implies an impersonal reference. However, I can't be sure of that as, in answer to your last question, I have no idea weather or not you said it seriously or as a joke, a problem every internet forum or other kind of electronic text based conversation will always have. I'm not trying to start an argument for the sake of it, I'm trying to stop people being so f**king narrowminded. It really drives me to f**king tears when people can just blindly agree with something because 'thats the way its always been.' Like hunting, like equal rights for women or black people, like the heirarchy of wealth. I very much think that this is something worth complaining about, because 200 years ago, I'd have been hung for saying this kind of thing. People say we've moved on and changed, but all that has really happened is that we've got better at covering our tracks. Think of Damalola Taylor. Think of Mattew Shepard. Think of what those people ever did to anyone, then think if they deserved what they got. I will lose a whole lot of faith (not that I expect anyone to care) in the human race if anyone says they did deserve it. Rich
  6. This is what I was talking about in my last post. People who assume they're right and then say things like "we all..." as if they can't possibly see how anyone else could disagree with them. I certainly wouldn't back away from a gay person, even if they said they would like the f**k me, and I didn't think anything other that what I posted in reference to Sam's first post. Unless someone else asks you to Anzo, try not to speak for everyone else. Everyone else might think differently. Rich
  7. Have just realised I can only make it for the ride not the party so no worries about me staying Jon. I've got a wedding in Cardiff on the Friday and a 50th birthday party in London on saturday night, so I'm gonna be dead by sunday..... Rich
  8. Two things I don't understand: 1. (Generally) Guys don't mind lesbians, just gays; and girls don't mind either. 2. I don't see why guys get so worked up about pulling guys. Girls have to do it all the time, don't see many of them running to the hills. There will always be two sides to every story. My whole family is pro hunting, although I find it abhorrent to the point where I've been physically sick. Doesn't make me or them right. What is wrong is people deciding in their minds whats right and wrong and then not backing down, not even in the face of blatant reason. I like Slipknot, other people hate them. This doesn't make Slipknot good or bad, despite the fact that fans will say "Slipknot kick ass," whilst critics will say, "Thats shit, its not even music, its just shouting." Neither are right - because Slipknot CANNOT be undeniably/incontrovertably recognised as good or bad - but neither are gonna back down in a hurry either. Anywho, just because I'm bored, I'll try and apply some logic to the situation. Light travels in straight lines; incontrovertable fact. Nothing can travel faster than light; incontrovertable fact. Blue is the nicest colour in the spectrum of light; opinion of an individual or group. Now try it with sex... Humans have sex to create more humans; incontrovertable fact. Recreational sex is a popular activity for humans; incontrovertable fact. There is no point in gays having sex as they cannot procreate alone (read: without a woman); opinion of an individual or group. Many people would apply the logic of the third point about gays and procreation when putting forward their argument against gays, yet would (almost certainly) crumble under the undeniable logic of the second point about recreational sex when someone says to them, "So you never f**k for fun?" A few questions just to see how people react. No ones being judged here and it'd be cool if people could answer truthfully. I'm just interested. For all those people who don't like gays, can anyone actually justify why? And before anyone says it, I've already stated my opinion on people who feel the need to tell the world and its dog that they are gay, I'm just talking about GAY people. An interesting point that no-one seems to have picked up on about the whole, "Gay people who are overtly gay" thing: isn't what they do almost a mirror/negative image of what strait people do all the time? Someone said something about a guy coming up to them in a club and feeling them up. What is so different about a girl doing it? Ask a royal marine, father of two with a lip slug moustache if hes gay or straight and he'll get all in your face about how straight he is and probably give you an earful about how horrific gays are. Ask a gay and he/she will probably give you some coy subtle answer or just shrug and tell you the truth. Which on is more over the top about advertising their sexuality? And a quote from trainspotting to really get people thinking about the grandkids: In a thousand years, there will be no men and women, just wankers, and that's fine by me. Rich
  9. Portsmouth: Half as much to ride, twice as far to ride around. Windy. Inhabited by prawn. Plymouth: Twice as much to ride, half as far to ride around. Not so windy. No prawn. Shouldn't be too hard Fred.... I'll be there with Alex and Ben at 11, now where the hells everyone parking?! Rich
  10. So long as you don't start enforcing that opinion, then fair enough. I pretty much agree with you on this one, I really don't like camp people or people who dress in drag or whatever; they would say its because they're not afraid of who they are but infact they actually contradict themselvees by changing so much. The bit about aids though.... You are equally at risk of catching aids from regular unprotected sex (as in with a woman and not anal) as with anal sex of any sexual orientation. People being this narrowminded are the kind that could do with being shot. Rich
  11. Might be there but doubt it, depends on how much petrol I have left from Plymouth on Sunday and if anyone fancies coming along. Rich
  12. Me and possibly Whiteboy and Alex should be there. Meeting time and place? Looking forward to it bigness. Rich
  13. If I can it'd be cool to come up on the friday night Jon (remember me from last year? Only other smoker.....) if not I'll be there saturday morning and probs leave sunday morning/afternoon depending on if theres a ride or not. I got dibs on the bathtub. Rich
  14. If its a joke well done mate, you've so far duped nearly 20 people! If you're not kidding, more so well done, theres a whole lot of complete twats in the world that'll think the worse of you simply for the choices you make in life. I used to fool around a lot with both guys and girls, so much so that I really couldn't put a finger on what my sexuality is. Point being, most people who know me know that and don't care, even (in fact especially) my loving girlfriend and my family. A good way to look at homosexuality (or in fact any condemned taboo of society) is that the people who matter to you won't care, and the people that care don't matter. Rich
  15. Yeah I asked for this one a while ago....... tv.isg.si Prawn? Rich
  16. Which means what in English? Fancy coming down the day before and making a weekend of it? Rich
  17. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! deep breaths WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *goes off to cry with laugher some more* Rich
  18. Good boy, now I can come as I'm at the Hampshire comp this sunday, but I reckon I'll be up for plymouth on the second for sure. Rich
  19. Nah, if its gonna be the same kind of thing as last year I'll probably sleep where i fall in Jon's house (although last year I somehow woke up outside in Ross's car....) But otherwise Fred, 'Bigman Hunting Season' is on. Rich
  20. Is that Tisza Andras on the Echo? Amazing stuff. Rich
  21. I think its tomorrow but don't quote me on that. Rich
  22. Two things: 1. I'd really like to see this pic. 2. Whoever you showed this pic to probably clocked you immediately for what you are, some Zoo!Team wannabe who thinks size is the most important thing in trials and hasn't the first clue what a demonstration is about. The day Si Harvey can't tap half a pallet (whichever way you have it up) will be the day Danny and Tom decide, "Hmm, lets validate people based on their complete lack of grammer, spelling, typing ability, or in fact need to make sense." If it was a MAD team demo then the standard or riding will have been about a thousand times better than what you have been describing. You're lying, and whats worse, you're trying to get attention for your own riding by slagging of other peoples. Rich
  23. Seriously? Havn't seen you in a while but I don't remember you being that tall..... But yeah, Bigman was gonna be my example of someone who could certainly do with shifting a few pounds, but is still an awesome rider. I think its a southwest thing, the bigger you are the better the rider - Bigman, Prawn, Gary, Steve. Then theres just freaks like Andrei who don't count.... Rich
