  1. Which will really help with clamping your brake into place Get some needle nose pliers, bend the first part of the existing helicoil and simply slide it out. If your helicoils messed up and the thread in the frame is still fine you can just screw another helicoil in.
  2. He's in america A little pad rub here and there isn't a problem with discs. Its nice to not have the annoying high pitch whine every wheel rotation, but its not harmful. Most times i go riding with my mates its a case of who's disc isn't whining.
  3. Your videos never fail to reawaken the initial amazement i had when i first saw trials. You are a true legacy to all those who have ridden before you who shaped the sport into what it is today and are, by far, one of the greatest riders in the world. P.S. Those weights looked a tad heavy
  4. Same here. I like mine with the so that the tread looks like it'd dig into the floor as i start to peddle. The only thing with the ramps really is to improve the life of the tyre, it makes it easier for the tyre to roll and like mat says, when you break your not shearing the little tread bits off. With us running silly soft compund tyres though having them on backwards gives better grip and doesn't really affect the wear life to a noticeable degree.
  5. Pressimg F5 sometimes helps with that.
  6. Well i personally like as big as i can fit up front, but other mates said they prefered skinnier tyres up front. Just curious really.

Yeah same on mine, using media player controls on the number pad for skipping songs, pausing videos etc. Hence me saying numbered changing of songs is cool But i can control the mouse with the joystick, which seems a little pointless really.
  8. Wrong. New members really should learn. Making a new topic will not help to get you validated if you still can't spell or act maturely. Doesn't matter how many topics you make, you'll still be a new member
  9. Shame starting loads of topics doesn't actually get you validated. Being polite, well spoken and courteous do. You don't even need to know anything at all about trials, just so long as you can spell half decent and show that you can be a helpful, positive member then you'll be validated in no time at all.
  10. That tension looks shoddy, do the tensioner bodge to make it shitloads stiffer
  11. I don't honestly know, only thing i can think of is that it might affect the wrap around the rear cog should you be using a small one, but seeing as you look to be using a 17-19tooth sort of size i would have thought that you won't notice the difference.

Ha ha, i tried that with my k800i. Seemd alright for a while, shame my eysight isn't good enough to see where i'm sending the mouse cursor from across the room Numbered changing of songs and volume was cool though
  13. Ha ha, thats way up there in the list of top bodges. Well done sir! Use a 1" starnut like recommended. Or if its urgent, you could use the headlock from the shogunator till you get yourself one? Dunno, just a thought. Offers there if you need it
  14. Could you not fit a stronger one or just twist it round (so landing on it won't pop it off). I reckon that allen key bolt would stop it falling apart should the clip fall off. Maybe its just to help stop it all flying to pieces as your trying to tighten the pinch clamp up in order to set the tension?
  15. And yet again the principle of new members chat is missed. It isn't about starting a good thread, its about showing your helpful and can contribute towards the forum. Its actually quite hard to randomly draw up a thread from your imagination, hence all the new-members who think their original by asking what brake pads people think are best and how far can people jump. I think new members chat is actually made more chaotic because of this misconceived idea due to everyone desperately trying to make a decent topic. Why doesn't it happen in members chat? because people don't have to, they can just go around replying to other peoples topics and when they receive a good idea for a thread through devine intervention or just utter chance they can put it up and share it with the forum. I think if new members stopped making such stupid topics all the time and actually concentrated on helping teach each other and stop complaining at each other for making lame topics (which really doesn't help at all) then they'd be validated much quicker. I reckon if a new member were to say thank you for receiving help on something or even to go off topic and say how they thought someones post was inspiring or even just slightly helpful and they appreciated the time the person spent to inform them then it would go much further in the favour of becoming valdated than starting any topic. I for one would validate someone who seems considerate just as quickly as someone who makes a good topic. However, in spite of this new members is a repeating cycle of misinformaty (dunno if thats a word or not ) and unneccessary comments. It'll never change and i'd rather it all be kept in one place than spread out over the entire forum. Look next to his name... see that? Says pre-members. No, that account is not validated yet. P.S. Sorry for writing a mini essay..... again :$
  16. They do come in different sizes, but they get slightly smaller as you hit them in too. If its nowhere near going to fit your going to need to find eaither a smaller one or a headlock type device. Either that or take them to supercycles/any engineering place and get them to continue the thread down the forks for you.
  17. Very nice... looks quite familiar though. Where abouts did you pick that beast up from ? You are also aware two of your chain links are upside down aren't you? (Middle of the top section of chain 3rd pic down)
  18. I freely admit that i'm a lazy rider for the majority of the time. Usually i'm hungover/still drunk from the night before and the ability and enthusiasm to do soemthing on my bike has been completely exhausted.

If you were such an important business man you could just send it off to that crazy place of tech heads, they fix a dropped hard drive for £15+delivery back to you. They can also recover data from wiped hard drives, burnt ones, hard drives smashed with hammers etc. I think they had a motto like if they can't retrieve the data you get a free hard drive or something (obviously within reason).
  20. That stinger one looks alright, i like the way the spring tension looks to be adjustable. And for cheaper than a rohloff thats always a bonus.... considering rohloffs go for around £30 on here second hand i'd be willing to pay £40 for a stinger, especially if the spring can be replaced with a derailleur one should it break. There might also be a fresh products one of similar design coming soon so i guess we'll have to see how that turns out price wise. From what i've seen though, its got the famous fresh products looks of durablility about the thing.

    Stems

Curently got a 110mmx 7 degrees stem, going to get an echo hifi- 130mmx15 degrees though and lose all my stem stackers. Anyone know how far down the thread goes in smart guy forks?
  22. Very smart, yeah they worked fine when i used them. If you have loads of running processes the object dock can be a little sluggish but otherwise... its fine. Looks cool too. Though, why is your left monitor completely white as a background?
  23. Ha ha, i was going to say something about allen key bolts being super easy to round. My disc has never come loose. Get a T25 drill bit, place it in one of them interchangeable headed screwdrivers with a rubber handle, put your gloves on, twist as hard as you can. My T25 drill bit has been twisted round slightly (its like a spiral now ) without even a hint of the bolts rounding.
