  1. As far as i can tell i've jsut stripped the teeth from the ratchet ring... they're all crumbled and snapped inside. I can't really tell if the ratchets stripped from the hubshell but it seems fairly solid in there. I didn't mean £40 for all that... i meant £40 to fix it, unless they do everything... which i presume will hike the price up.
  2. Been told i'm a cocky arrogant little c**t before by some old bloke... i was literally stood there on the back wheel about to jump onto a wall. I hadn't done anything before he said it lol.
  3. It was second hand and i've had it like 10 months now anyway. Guess i'm gonna be forking out £40. Unless they decide to replace my bearings, springs pawls and freehub body as well
  4. Well my hope just died. Did a little gap in my garden and as soon as i put the force in to gap it went BANG! So i eventually got the damn freehub shell off after slicing my finger on a sprocket and it looks like i've destroyed the ratchet ring, theres little bits of it everywhere and one of the springs is gone. What do i need to do about getting it fixed and does anybody have any idea how much it'll cost me to fix it. If its too much i'll just get a pro II as its my birthday in 4 weeks. However, if i could get this one repaired and sold it'd make the new wheel a lot cheaper.
  5. Decent weather and a fun place to ride out the way of complaining old people.... your so lucky. Looks like you guys were enjoying it anyway
  6. Wheres the red section from on that pic of the car dent? Your tyres black rubber, bash ring is anodized blue... whats the dealio with the red? I've ridden a castle wall before in bradgate park. I wouldn't do it again, yeah it was fun for the stupid 10 minutes we were riding there but i felt quite guilty afterwards, needless to say it isn't something i'd do again. And the ones i rode on were free for the public to climb on, yours are sectioned off. Bit disrespectful really.
  7. Bitchy I thought it was funny up until everything started going wrong for him. My grandad had just been admitted to hospital to have his voicebox and foodpipe removed due to cancer and he wasn't doing well at the time so i think it struck a nerve when i watched it. I definately realised just how much more i should appreciate my family and make certain to spend more time with them than i do.
  8. Is that the monstrously huge one? Their beasty as hell.
  9. I took some pics of the dust after the first 30 mintues riding in my garden ... Check it out. Theres blue pad dust everywhere Right pad Left pad The left one is now at about 4-5mm and the right one is at about 3-4mm. Thanks for the offer of new pads, but i don't feel comfotable about it, like its cheeky. I just thought it was quite funny more than anything.
  10. The shadow conspiracy interlock V2 chains are really quite strong, and have a breaking threshold thats stronger than a KMC kool k710. If he had one of those chains i don't see why he's have any problems with it snapping at all. Especially considering all the pins are longer, thicker and the plates themselves are thicker than the ones found on a KMC chain. The cheapo £9.99 half link chains are gay though.
  11. Nope, i'm not convinced. You obviously have a different idea about a harsh grind then as my medium worn grind has taken the pads down to about half the material now that i've ridden at uni today.
  12. What isn't going to work? The x1950 card? Looks like it will do to me The AGP High end cards with dual DVI outputs normally come with a single dvi-vga adapter.... i guess they figured if we're too behind the times to move to pci-e then i guess we most likely will still have vga screens
  13. Mine wore down about 3mm in the first day on a 3-4 week old grind. There was pad dust everywhere. They don't honk but make sort of a swooshing squeal and the hold is okay. I don't personally think their as good as everyone makes out. And i'm 16.5 stone too
  14. You around tomorrow afternoon/evening mate... from around 4.00 ish? I just noticed i have my old 6600 sat on top of the wardrobe, we could whack that in for you to try. If it works then its your graphics card, if not then we'll have to think of something else. I can bring it to uni with me in the morning and we can sort it out after i've done some painting if you want. Is it an AGP or PCI-E slot? If its AGP then thats cool as my cards agp too.
  15. I think ideally he's after something like the instrumental version of furious angels by rob dougan... the one biff used in his video.
  16. I thought CLS rode stock now as well Either ways, their both good, who cares whose better. Use the search and you'll find the hundreds of topics like this one.
  17. Find a program called xoftspy. That'll get rid of it for sure. Then install comodo firewall and you wont have anymore problems.
  18. Do a quick bleed. Take the resevoir cap off, pull the lever repeatedly while flicking the cable and wait for the air bubbles to stop rising. Whack the cap back on and see how it feels.
  19. Definately up for it next weekend.

    Pedals?

I'd recommend the V8 copies i have for sale. Cheap, durable and replacable pins.... plus their a bargain price.
  21. Lmao. Effectively sanding them. I wouldn't advise for people to do this.
  22. Without the pads inserted, pull the lever so the pistons poke out. Put a drop on each piston then pull the lever 10-15 times and put another drop on the pistons again. Let go of the lever and wipe off any excess oil with a clean dry cloth. Then re-insert the pads. Then just put a drop around the lever piston.
