  1. 2 gears for me. Trials gear... 16tooth front chainring:13tooth rear cog.... and travelling gear, 16tooth front and 12 tooth rear. You only really need to have your trials gear and you travelling gear, then change between them when necessary.
  2. Ha ha, a jeb was an insult aimed at you.... not his name Coust brothers, felix mucke, ryan leech, ben lee
  3. 16-13 on my stock bike. 16-14 feels far too light.
  4. Din't really read through the thread, but an ISO is a disc image... which means its everything that should be on a disc... only not on one yet. Its been pre-packed to be put straight onto a disc for you. So if you have soemthing like nero or the other free cd/dvd burning software mentioned you can simply click the file, it opens in the prgram and you stick the cd/dvd in and click start/burn/go. A couple of minutes later your finished disc pops out and its like any normal cd/dvd.... you've just skipped out having to find the files, make menu's put them into the right order and encode the files yourself. An ISO is primarily for lazy/computer illiterate people to download a file and turn into normal cd's/dvd's.
  5. If i had the choice i would like to skip morning, but i still wouldn't. Mourning is being sad for something thats been lost. I'm sad if i lose an M & M and the dog finds it before i do.... in a way, thats mourning. The fact that i lost the M & M teaches me to be more careful with them in future, and i enjoy them more because i try to savour the moment of eating them incase they were to go. Eventually at some point i'll get careless and lose another one and i'll be careful and appreciate them more again. In a strange way this kind of applies to people as well, though on a bigger and more sensitive scale. When a loved one dies, you mourn for them, other feel the same and together you find comfort in each other and it brings you closer together. It reminds you to value your time with your loved ones while they're around, and i think if i didn't mourn, i wouldn't feel sad for their loss and i would lose the ability to appreciate people while their still around. Eventually i'd get to the point when this hypothetical "quick way out" reduces me to the point where i couldn't care less if someone died, which i think is disrespectful in itself. I know that my loved ones would feel upset if i couldn't care if they died and so, despite it being painful for a while, its something that i feel is neccessary to grow and become a better person.
  6. Ha ha, we call them scones too. I guess ash just hasn't lived yet Stick a scone in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, cut in half, apply butter, apply jam, re-combine two halves.... munch out. Its really nice, though i only eat them when my mum buys them, which is about once every 2-3 months Scone from packet Scone halved, with jam and... ... cream Coffee for me though, i love the smell of it, like the taste... and when i drink tea its like weakly flavoured water.... not nice.
  7. To be fair guys, he is planning on covering the rough edge with hosing like he mentioned earlier, so the general appearance of the cut doesn't have to be good. I reckon if you are covering the edge with pipe though you might have wanted to leave a little bit more room above the JD writing because it'll cover it a bit with what little material you've left on it. Black label with orange glass marbles would look especially pimped.
  8. But then you new members would never learn and would be stuck here on your own with the same topics being repeated every other day. Highest i've done is off a save a can thing at my local somerfield. I'm 6'5" and have to jump to see the top so its between 6.5 and 7 foot.
  9. Since when did frsh products sponsor you. I don't see you on here anywhere
  10. Its been posted a couple of times, but inspiring none the less.
  11. I thought generally mod bikes had shorter cranks so they aren't as likely to catch on things as your pedalling along, where as stocks have bigger wheels so can run longer cranks.... which some people say might help your gapping.
  12. Nah, i get half the profit, and the total cost of the job is split into 3. One third goes into the maintenance and buying inks/parts etc. and the other 2/3'rds is split between me and him. So its like £180 for a 10,000 sheet job. Its only a small business because its a small garage .
  13. Just sand it down to remove the scratches and use nitromors to remove the lacquer over the rest of the frame. Polsih it up and then re-spray it with lacquer and it'll be as good as new.
  14. My dad runs a small print company from our garage. I help him out and get half the profit. Its alright, boring as hell but it pays really well. £60 for an hour and a halfs work isn't bad at all
  15. No way, i didn't think a grinder would be capable of doing it. I would have suggested using something like a tile cutting tool with the super thing diamond blade and the water jet to stop the glass heating and cracking and to stop the dust becoming airborne. Guess its too late to mention it now though, well done for managing it.

    Itunes

Same, i reckon if i actually owned an ipod though it'd be a completely different story.
  17. If you go to the scrapyard you could probably find a better frame than that and they'll let you have it for about a tenner. Thats going to be horrid to ride for trials. And am i the only one that thinks sawing the seatube off, setting the brakes up and fitting new grips doesn't really merit being called "an achievement".... its like 30 minutes work. And they're changes that aren't really noticable. Sorry to sound synicle but i honestly don't think its worth the effort.
  18. I was thinking the same thing. I guess its for the use of snail cams? But i guess if you reall wanted snail cams you could make an 141mm rear dropout frame, so snail cams could be used with normal hub axles. But then i guess theres things like hitting your feet on the dropouts and needing wider bb's etc to consider. Personally though, i think an 141mm rear dropout width would be the better way to go. But then i guess this doesn't fall in with dengs global trials takeover strategy as it'd be easier for him to just make rear mod hubs. He also seems to want to re-converge mod and stock, firstly with geometries (super high bb's) and then with the mod hub spacing. I guess next year all his frames will have bashplates instead of bashrings.
  19. I'll ride in wind or light rain, but i don't ride if its tipping it down. Same way as i don't walk to the shops or to the pub. I don't enjoy being out in the wet and whats the point in riding if i don't enjoy it?
  20. Yep he's pretty much right. Even if you do use caustic soda i would still recommend to sand /wire brush the surface of the parts so as to allow for maximum effect when cleaning them up before you lacquer them.
  21. Yeah but you say i'm crap at googling when its you not giving an accurate and straight forward reply. I think its quite ironic you come on here and try to warn people about clicking the link and have a go at them for not having anti-virus/firewalls and allowing the virus to spread, when it was you who gave it to boumsong and boumsong that gave it to other members on here (including me). If you hadn't have allowed it access to your laptop i, and others, MIGHT not have had it. And yes i'm well aware its my own stupid fault for clicking yes and trying to open it.
  22. Take it back to wherte you bought it from, by law they have to sort it out if its faulty. If it was ordered online and they live within a certain limit (can't think how far) they actually have to arrange for it to be picked up if your not able/willing to do it yourself. And before anyone asks, yes its true... its written on the trading standards site somewhere.
  23. Maybe because your crap at giving it a genuine name. First you said Then And finally it was called Kind of hard to google for something that keeps getting misnamed by illiterate people.
  24. First ones loads better. I love red bikes
