  1. Surely something that good and impressive would be somewhere in the top 10 pages of various google searches.... can't seem to find a single thing about it though. C'mon pete, is this another blag?
  2. It doesnt eat it away fast. It doesnt even really eat it away. I didn't use gloves when i did my maggie slaves and held the things while applying copious amounts of nitromors, went all over my fingers. Only thing that happened is when there was nitromors and flakes of paint on my hand it stung a bit where the specks of paint were.
  3. We've already established that, well done.
  4. It also stops you opening msconfig and stops xoftspy from opening. Xopftspy being a free virus scanner that can actually get rid of it. I would imagine it does a couple of other things too, as random folder windows kept closing by themselves while i was trying to get rid of it.
  5. Anyone have an idea as to what this virus actually is and how to get rid of it? I thought my pc was alright but it seems it isn't. Whenever i try and open msconfig it kept automatically closing it, so i had to start up in safe mode and run it. There was a load of new entries to it including: 3 services, one blank, and 2 C:\windows\system32\ndtybve\services.exe There was also dumprep 0 -k from %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k Also seems i have a worm called Alcan.A... which might have something to do with it. It seems to like the files C:\windows\system32\netstat.com and C:\windows\system32\taskkill.com.
  6. I got sent this by boumsong, i clicked it, saved it, and even got annoyed when it didn't seem to open. Ah well.... blonde day i guess. Ad-aware scanned and deleted some stuff, then bugdoctor, then cccleaner, and now nothing can find any problems... guess i'm alright.
  7. Bout as useful as this topic is. People work, get given birthday and christmas money and thats how they afford their bike, same as all their other stuff. Theres only 3 different answers really. Job, birthday/christmas money. Pro rider being sponsored. Stealing your current bike. What other answers was he expecting really? Ever heard of the saying "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"? I put it into practice
  8. Yeah it blatantly could. Say your doing a 720 over a double, and land sideways on the top of the landing ramp with all the force being absorbed by your rear triangle. Thats enough to bend it. Hell i've seen a frame bend when someone failed to bunnyhop onto a bin, the rear triangle was all misalligned and so the frame got scrapped.
  9. I can't beleive people would prefer to have their hose burst. Punctures are the easiest thing to fix on a bike. pour the glue on, blow on it, put a patch on, hold it down... 2 minutes later its fixed.
  10. Ha ha, me? famous? lmao... i think i'm gonna have to check this out Ha ha, well yeah... you know Noticed a few others from here though, porter, holroyd, wigs... theres so many. That bails video was awesome.
  11. I really don't think you are, you've erased certain bits of your newly coloured layer. Rear dropout has bits of grey, as does the bashplate mount and part of the toptube. Plus the colours all wrong and overly saturated.
  12. Those first pics only take like 30 seconds tops. Theres no background for them so all you have to do is click select>colour range... then use the dropper on the colour section, change the slider to pick up all the colour, then click ok. Copy your selected are, new layer, paste. Then click image>adjustment>hue/saturation. Job done. You should have a go at altering pictures with more complex backgrounds, like lawns and sheds and flower pots. This forces you to utilize methods involving selection tools etc. and will improve your abilities a lot quicker.
  13. Vista can check the legality of the programs installed on it? Thats not very good for most users, any software thats been "borrowed" from friends or downloaded can be remotely wiped from you computer by microsoft. Quite worrying really. Someone somewhere will have the ability to see every single porn video you own . I don't actually know the benefits of vista, its "supposed" to be more secure, and theres DX10 support for new games, which vista's supposed to be designed to run better than XP. But for the average internet/msn/e-mail user i guess its just security and unneccessary fancy stuff.
  14. Ha ha, damon pwned the uniclist and crappy pogo bouncer. Nice to see the clips in such high quality
  15. It doesn't mention anywhere about it being restricted to only changing once, other than when you purchase it online as an upgrade to your existing vista package. Its exact words are.. "You may uninstall the software and install it on another device for your use." Device being defined as another computer or even another partition on the same drive. Except of course if you have the ultimate edition, in which case your able to store the installation files on a seperate drive for distrubution between other computers if you have the appropriate licenses. Its clear enough for me. Show me somewhere in the agreement where it says this only transfering it once thing applies to all copies (not just the Anytime upgrade copy) and i'll admit i'm wrong.

    Postage Help

I think with parcel force theres a minimum cost of like £18, could be wrong but i'm sure it was soemthing like that. Theres also a weight and size limit with the post office... but i sent my bmx off to pauloliver a while ago and they sent that. Cost £14 i think for insured second class delivery. Just make the box as small as possible. Take the stem and bars off, remove pedals etc.
  17. I used to use a louise, then "upgraded" to an avid bb7. I prefer the bb7 because its so much easier to fix. Admittedly the lever feel isn't as nice as with a hydraulic, but the actual brake is great..... just don't run fibrax pads, they have no bite what so ever.
  18. Actually i've just read through it and what he's written isn't whats written in the contract. The "reassign to another device" section actually states. With windows Anytime upgrade being a chance for users to upgrade their edition of Windows Vista by buying a license online and software other than anytime upgrade referring to all other retail versions of vista. So from what i gather, you can buy windows vista and if you want to upgrade it you can do using the Anytime upgrade to move from say vista premium to ultimate, however this online purchase (while being cheaper) is only transferable to another device once. Where as going out and buying a new copy of vista ultimate will allow you to change it round. EDIT: It aslo states that That bits the same as XP, upgrade a component and you have to re-activate the software. I've done it a total of 6 times with my copy of xp so far. And once when i *cough* looked away while my cousin installed it on his computer *cough*
  19. Ha ha, i think the nerdyness went out the window with being scared shitless
  20. 32 bit vista 64 bit vista Hardly that expensive to pick up an OEM copy. And that licensing thing only applies to the OEM versions, the retail one can be re-installed at your whim, where as OEM is locked to your motherboard. EDIT: Heres the retail version of vista premium... Oooh so expensive
  21. Xp is the same. It gives you a maximum of five different configurations before you need to re-activate it. Adding a soundcard etc is classed as a hardware change. I don't think they can legally force you to re-buy it, especially as things like component failure may lead to you needing a new component in the computer, you can actually claim a refund if thats truly the case. I reckon it'll be much the same as XP, in that when you change a piece of hardware you have to ring up microsoft and get them to give you the new code thing.
  22. Well the machine i had a go on looked alright, and was pretty stable. In fact, i didn't see the system hiccup once. I'm with poopipe on the whole not buying it till they release a major service pack, but i WILL buy it. Hendrix, shut up. From what i've read the full blown and fancy settings on vista only use 750mb or so of RAM. Someone who has 4GB and its still running slow obviously has issues elsewhere. And needing 200gb of disk space is just silly. You HAVE heard/read it wrong. Fatpants: What your after is the windows vista upgrade advisor, it goes through and scans your computer and tells you what you might have problems with. Seems Nero 6 won't work at all on vista
