same thing, but a fairly quick fix for me is to run a rag around the rim with furniture polish on it and then let it dry. work's like a bitch with a massive honking noise when i pull the breaking. (N)" my rims a bmf with plazmatic pads and a standard maggie (just if u were wondering)

to make an uncomressed video i need to?? i've tried an uncompressed wmv but premiere sstops responding within the last 10 frames of the timeline. i already have a copy of the tmpgenc that andy from nbr gave me a while back

i like building trials courses out of railway sleepers, i can carry one in each arm at the same time. (Y) plus i wouldn't mind free entry. kris

i just got adobe premiere 6.0 and i've got some of my new video sorted after a while of trying to figure things out with it. i tried exporting the video and when i came to play it there's white lines around everything that moves in the clips, i've fiddled with the export settings and i've tried every type of exportable file but they all seem to produce the white lines. the video sizes don't seem to be very big either, my 1 minute video is about 60mb at the highest setting. i thought premiere was supposed to make stupidly big file sizes? (Y) what can i do to get rid of the stupid things? cheers kris

okay, cheers for the help... you've been a star! :P :D

okay then how do i locate an engineer? yellow pages stylee?
-
I've already got the bolts for it, they came with the hub originally. Should i have to pay to sort out this mistake? wouldn't taking it to an engineer cost a bit?
-
hi all, i snapped the axle in my rear dmr revolver the other week and it's been in the bike shop for 2 weeks now. They got the new axle from dmr but the only problem is that they have put in an axle without the allen bolt threads inside. I have no QR skewers lying around at home and i preffered the allen key bolts anyway. Should i just get a decent skewer like a hope or something or take it back to the shop? only thing is i don't want to wait another 2 weeks for them to put a new axle in, or will they have a tool to put a thread into it?

to do a frontflip drop off, landing on my back wheel on a hand rail and gapping to the next rail along. :"> Seriously though, i seem to enjoy riding a lot more when i can do something that i feel is good. so i think i'll keep enjoying it so long as i keep getting better. I enjoy just playing at the minute and occasionally scaring myself by doing something i think is a bit nuts. Back wheeled a wall the same height as my stem the other week and i was so amazingly pleased, so i guess it's the mental challenge for me really, thats what i find fun about it. :S it's also really healthy, unless you bail.
-
okay well i've been riding about a year and i can't tap. mind you in september i couldn't bunnyhop... i can get up walls about stem height without using a tap, basically i don't know how to. so how high is the limit on getting up without tapping.

I might have taken that the wrong way but if they fiddled and messed it up then you shouldn't have had to pay for them to fix it. It's the same rule as shops apply when your shopping. "you break it, you buy it! :( " £17 is a mighty skank. my local shop did my rear wheel with black dt swiss double butted spokes and built it up for me at a charge of £14. This wheel has lasted nearly six months and has only been re-trued once (a week after it was built so the spokes weren't loose). so.... spokes and wheel build for £14. :) Trueing/tweaking for £17 :- kind of a difference hey? o.k. can anyone show me how to do this as trials dude is slightly annoying. cheers

me and my mate got a crack off downloads.com to get the songs off his ipod. The ipod saves the files all muddled up on every ipod so it's harder to copy an entire album from it. I think the only way ur gonna be able to do it is to go through and choose them one by one. Or maybe copy all the songs from it to your computer. get media player or something like that to re-arrange them for you and then copy them back to the ipod all nice and tidy for next time.

okay so p2p sharing is obviously illegal but what about the websites that you join and pay something like £2 a month and you can download all the music you want? are they legal? surely the cost for hosting the music would be far greater than the income from peoples memberships? I might join one that i found for £12 a year and than if anyone tries to sue me i can say i purchased it as a product from a company therefore I am not breaking the law! please set me straight if i'm wrong. I'm getting braodband soon just to download music so i'll forget it if i'm still not allowed. nah i might still get it to download peoples riding vids.

just go for it, they are super good. and light, and sealed, and all the pins are replaceable. and they are shaped nicely so your feet don't slip off of them.
-
no problemo

now it's sunny we'll work on your riding a lot more. Think about it like this though, you couldn't do any more than 10 hops on your back wheel when i first went riding with you, now your doing that brook gap and attempting most of the stuff i do. :) your still better at manualling than me.

he means that the tyre size (2.1 inches, 2.5 inches, 72.9 inches..etc) relates to the depth of the tyre not it's width. a 2.5 will be closer to touching the seat tube and the brake bosster than a 2.2 would because it is taller. go for a 2.5, they're super cool. and from here they're only £20. linky to cheap tyres

Oh rite, i do go riding with you guys, sorry i didn't know this was you conner.

SHIT!! I live in leicester. I'm so sorry that happened mate, I've been in this kinda situation before.... admittedly i chose to chase after two guys who'd robbed my mates phone, but i got the phone back and left them with sore noses. I don't often get many people try it on when i'm riding though (maybe being 6'5" has got summit to do with it), mind you i'd never go down uppingham road. maybe we should go for a ride sometime if ur around leicester again. definately don't carry a knife though. If someone got it off you they could use it against you... definately makes things more dangerous.

my friend does everything on an azonic steelhead. dirt, downhill, freeriding, trials. admittedly he can't gap as far as me but he can still hurl the bike up bigger things than me and it's similar to him riding a small car. If you like the feel of the bike it may be better to have a single bike to do everything on instead of different bikes for different things. i personally like having a trials specific bike, a dirt/freeride bike and a bmx (although i hardly use the bmx :"> )

i don't know how i would get one on a base without it being over halfway up the downtube. the little bash plate mount takes all the hits at the minute. maybe i could get one made with a whole in it for the mount to stick out of...

Who Feels They're Good Enough For A Challenge?
Krisboats replied to Krisboats's topic in Trials Chat
shit me it's been done! (Y) was there a video or anything? i really want to see it. :) has anyone else got any other crazy new moves they want to share? -
i'm no way near good enough to even want to attempt this and i don't know if it's possible, so i thought i would tell everyone. i was dreaming about being out riding the other night and i was doing all kinds of crazy shit. :P when i woke up i had myself convinced it would be possible for someone (not me) to do frontflip drop-offs. At first i was just thinking i was being stupid but i'm becoming more and more convinced it might be do-able. i reckon if you ride to the edge of the drop... probably about 5-6 feet and then really whack your front brake on to flip the back wheel up, if you pull the bike round you would be able to do the flip and land on the rear wheel. :) i know this sounds stupid but new things always seem stupid at first and so i want to know if you think it's possible/your crazy enough to do it.
