exactly rite, i'm 6'5" and i just seem to freeze when things happen. It's not that i'm scared it's just my mind goes completely blank and i can't even begin to think about what i should do or how i should react. the good thing that comes from this is most often nothing ever escalates and i can take a lot of shit without getting hurt. I had something similar happen to me when me and my mates were sat on a bench at the side of the road having a break from riding. This car goes past with four dudes in it and one of them threw part of a mars bar out the sunroof at our bikes. so me and my mate stick our fingers up at them as they drive off. A few minutes later they're back with another carfull of guys. the one who threw the mars bar gets out and starts shouting about us swearing at him. He walks over and smacks me in the face and what do i do? i sat there just staring at him. :"> at the time i wished i'd at least got up and showed him how much smaller he was than me, but looking back on it now i'm glad i didn't. two car loads of guys against three of us wouldn't have been very cool. :P If you had reacted back he might have tried it with your brother as well, then you would feel even worse. sorry to hear it though, it's still shit when it happens because there's just no need for it.

Try doing something different as well. take out some musiuc with you, this helps a lot. try a little game of riding in the style of the music. At first it's tricky because the noise can mess up your balance a bit, but after a while your body adjusts to it and you begin to be able ride regardless of it. once you can do this (it should only take a couple of hours or at most a couple of rides) then try to ride in the style of the music. More flowy muszic like the chili peppers ends up with you riding like ryan leech with more smooth lines and trying more fancy things to match the guitar work. More aggressive music may result in you riding like chris akrigg in a very trials noir style. Basically after trying this out it's possible and good fun to ride as if listening to music anytime and it opens up different ways of looking at something. You begin to ananalyse things based on what style would best suit a section. It also helps if you edit a video to similar songs as well because your riding will fit the style of music. :P Hope it helps kris

i've met him before, and i wouldn't really trust him. He was on a ride when i first met conner (gap to manual) and he ended up jumping into this garage outbuilding in leicester college and trying to rip a starter cable out of some old motorbike/scooter-ped thing. :P although he seemed alright and i didn't see him chat back to anyone or any shit like that there was something about him i didn't like. :) :P i'd definately think twice before going on a ride with conner if this guy was gonna be there. No offence conner it's nothing against you mate. :D Anyways just thought it'd be best if you knew :(

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but that drop is really pathetic, I know he may be learning and all that (without a helmet) but i've seen chavs drop off bigger things than that when they've had a go on my bike and they didn't fall off.
-
I'll go as well, i don't know any of you but who care's, i might be able to pay for conner's ticket then we can head down there. :D I quite want to find out where all these riding spots are because last time i went i was mega bored, i never found anything to ride! (i did find supercycles though and that made it a whole load better :P )
-
i may have a spare 2.5 hiding somewhere so i'll hav a look and let you know.
-
hey conner, just get some plazmatics, then you'll have a beasty brake. and use some polish on the rim as well makes it super grabby and super noisy. (having said that i got another pinch on the front yesterday from when i was manualling and pulled the brake :-" ) just means you'll have to learn manuals without a brake. B)

That was intended for me to know which video quality was better, i had one at 0.5mb and this one at like 2mb. so this was the word big referred to the filesize for this version of the bail. understand? :o

right well adobe premiere is pretty much the best, unless you have a mac and use final cut pro. (ryan leech used it to make manifesto) premiere you hav to buy unless you can persuade someone to send you a copy of the installation disc. for the pc movie maker is alright, but i thought it was a bit crappy and the video's didn't turn out very good quality. however there is another program called pinnacle studio that is fairly easy to use with some good features in it. again you have to buy it unless you know someone with a copy of the disc, but there's tonnes of them on ebay that you can do a "buy it now" and they're set at around £6 they work fine as well, they come in a thin dvd case in a sealed c.d. sleeve with the product installation code on the front. make sure you look for pinnacle studio 9 pro. or just studio 9, don't get an SE version. so you might be better off havin a look for one of them. hope i helped. so the dvd like... how much? where from? and are u gonna go to a publisher or burn the discs on your own computer? not watched the trailer yet, i'm downloading it on a 56k connection so it may take a while. i'll definately want a copy though, a year in the making means that there's a fairly big chance that it's gonna be freakin awesome. so long as you don't charge anything crazy like £29+." site looks good as well. forgot to mention. I've also pretty much destroyed my BMF by putting dents all the way round one side of the rim. so i must land some things fairly heavy as well. can take pictures of my brake and stuff if you wan't a close up of how much room there is.
-
I have a base ta26 with a 38mm bmf rim on the rear, there's plenty of room for adjustment with my maggie so you should easily be able to fit a koxx rim in there. I'm 15 and a half stone and mine has no problems being about 6 months old. i'm not an amazingly good rider but i have done some relatively biggish things on it. :)" go for the base, if mine broke i think i'd probably get another one because they ride so nicely. :)

I can't sign up for dominatevideos because i get the message "jesus_has_a_bmx has already entered that information" :) a sign from god this provider is not for me! :)

i use a panasonic mini dv camera, you can pick good ones up for about £250 in the shops now so on ebay you should be able to get a bargain. just make sure it's a mini-DV and has the ability to connect to your computer. I have been thinking that my bike is a bit small for me, but i might just try a longer stem see if that makes a difference. I think a lot of bikes may feel small though as i'm 6 foot 5. :deej: cheers for the help guys. :P :deej:

just let me know if like i'm doin something dogy or look to tensed up or something like that really. i hardly ever ride with people better than me so you guys on here are the only people that can give me suggestions.
-
lmao yeah i forgot to put the link on there, i was so busy tryin to cover my own ass from the mardy's i forgot the actual video
-
okay so many people were pissed that i put a mini clip of me bailing on the shack this morning. *cough* arsy bastards *cough* so here's a video that's a bit better. Click Here please let me know what you think/suggest ways in which i can improve my riding p.s. after harsh comments for every previous video i have done i am making sure that for future posts in this thread i in no way claim that this video is amazing, nor that the riders are good, nor am i in some way tricking you into thinking this level of riding is as good as ryan leech etc. it is just a video that i thought some people may enjoy watching (i ride the red base  , been riding 9 months)

i don't ever remember mentioning it was big, or even huge! i just said it was funny. things don't have to be big
-
thats why people call me boats.... size 15 baby!
-
thats why i just sit and look at my pedals at the end. it slipped straight off them but they're brand new onza hognesium's so i was really confused, they were like 2 days old
-
well i just sent you a tenner. don't bother sending it back though because it's the first donation i made to the shack, i know i should've before. pretty simply it's for the help you've been giving me so its more of a present to you personally, i'm sure you can find a use for it. (beer money) :- thanks for the help and the service you've givin us, you've been a star!
