well the way i find easiest ot do these is to ride just a little bit faster than walking pace the pull on the bars more than u would for a normal bunnyhop. when they get quite high jump and push the bars up in front of you a bit. as they go forwards they naturally move the bike to a more vertical position. all you have to do now is keep a hold of the brake and bend your knees as you land. when your on the wall on your back wheel you need to bend your knees a bit more and pull on the bars as you bend them, this will start to make the bike lean backwards. as it starts getting to the point where you think your going over jump backwards and push your bars towards your ankles a little, this will level the wheels out and will let you fakie away. if you find it hard to keep on the back wheel enough to pull backwards once you on the wall, a little tip is to ride a little bit faster and jump earlier this should giv your bike a little more time to move to a vertical position before you land. only thing with doing it faster is you also need to lean back more and bend your knees more when you land. if you go out and try this you should get it pretty quickly as its not all that hard to do. hope it helps. <_<

i've been riding just over a year and have only recently started learning front taps. I can get up walls about 12-13 normal bricks high which is just over my bar height (around 41-42 inches) i can gap distances bigger than my bike (i don't really know how big exactly but i can stick my bike in the gap and move it back and forth a bit) i can't really sidehop onto walls but can sidehop over a high jump pole about the height of my lower headset cup. i can barely manual more than 10 meters on average and can barspin drop off and crankflip and all those kinda things. i can also do 180 bunnyhops and almost 360 tyre taps. i can do like 5 foot drop offs becuase i have never tried anything bigger. (a dodgy dmr rear hub kinda removes all courage from me when i'm high up) i quite often go riding with other people about my kinda level but usually go out on my lonesome. :) i'm trying to convince my best mate to get a trials bike though to sort this out. (if anyone has a stock bike thats in averagely good condish that they would part with for around £200 give me a pm) having fun is most important to me though so i don't really know how good i am compaired to others, and i'm not really to fussed, but its always nice to know isn't it (Y) :)

huh? do u mean riding at a wall then bunyhopping onto it on your back wheel then jumping back into fakie (like a bmx abubaca) or something completely different?
-
basically i have a dmr revolver cassette hub.. if anyone thinks of getting one for trials iwould seriously recommend against it, they're so weak... i'm on my fifth freehub on it at the minute and it's on its way out again. it skips all the time when i'm just riding along. i usually take it down to my local bike shop (dmr dealer) and they sort it out for me for free with only a £4 labour charge to pay, but in doing this they usually take between 2 and 4 weeks. if anyone knows about how to get at the insides so i can see if i can sort it or get dmr to send the replacement bits to me directly so i can do it myself i would be very grateful because i would rather pay a bit more than have to wait so long (i just can't wait to put it on my jump bike) cheers in dvance kris

cheers for the explanation mate.

i have just signed up with tiscali broadband for the next 12 months and i get a connection speed of 2.2mbps as apposed ot the 1mbthey claim u will get for £14.99 a month. its also unlimited as well. my average ping is like between 25-40 in counter strike source depending on when i'm using it. i don't often get 25 but sometimes in the very early hours of the morning it can happen. Being new to all the internet gaming malarky i was kind of wondering what a ping was anyway? ^_^ anybody else reckon we should have a trials-forum, internet clan thing? mite be a bit of a laugh.

my 2005 magura louise was a fit and forget job. it literally took like 5 minutes to fit it, and most of that was getting the grip off the bars. Mines a 160mm rotor on a stock bike so is quite small but it had awesome stopping power in it and allowed me to do majorly long bunnyhops to nose manuals until i managed to get a load of cleaning shit (and now brake fluid as well) sprayed all over the caliper and it went into my pads. I'm gonna get a new set of pads soon though and maybe a bigger rotor like a leeson rotor because it looks pimping. theres also like no sticking out parts or any smaller bits to it that you can break off, and i havn't heard of many with leaking problems.

cheers adam i'll whack the other fixed bolt in there as well then i am quite a harsh rider so its no wonder it moves cheers for the help then guys i'll get it sorted ready for a ride tomorro

right basically my maggy keeps moving all the time its the bloody quick realease side thats doing it, it keeps sliding upwards until the brake pad is rubbing on the tyre. i move it back then after bunnyhopping onto smething on my back wheel or even pedal hopping it moves to my tyre again. I've tried tightening it up and it worked a bit better but still did it. shall i just put a fixed bolt in there and get rid of the quick release or just by a new egg timer bolt or something like that or will i just ned to clean it in some magic formula to stop it moving. info that might help: its a 2004 magura hs33, with a standard magura steel booster, plazmatic pads, base ta26 frame, ground ronnie rim, and a better bolt in the bolt down side of the magura.

throw some spins in there too if you can.. if theres a bench try sidehopping up it then 180'ing off the other side but try and do it without any messing around. straight onto the bench then as soon as you land do the 180 with no little hops in between. if u can do 180's too easy then go for 360's or try it on walls or something really skinny like a rail depending on how good you are. also try to ride quite flowy kinda like ryan leech as stated above. take a look at the elliot firth video in this set of files. thats some very streety riding. click here for elliot firth vid this is also not the best video in the world but has more of a streety feel to it because i try not to do too many little correction hops in when i'm riding. The later stuff in the video is more streety really. (p.s. the vid's quite old too so don't laugh at how small most of the stuff is) click here for thrashed link (its the thrashed 4 vid not the other one, which u will be dissapointed with if u download it as it is only one clip and has no sound) hope it helps EDIT: fixed the first link because it didn't work

Nanites eat away at crazy super hoover and leave it with only one function. (dildo for a 400ft woman)

didn' like it (Y) sorry (N) good level of riding though

I'm using some odi longneck bmx grips withthe flanges cut off them and lock on collars on either side to hold them in place.... quite random. (Y) I love it though. :)

cheers adam, it seems mega quiet at the minute, it hardly clicks at all.... they ended up putting a new axle with new bearings, a new freehub body and a new non drive side end cap. i didn't look inside because i didn't wanna take it apart and put it back in dodgy . Cheers for the build as well, it seems loads stronger than my old wheel... which used to flex quite a bit. Do u have any tips for putting on an awesome grind? seeing as you weren't able to put one onm for me. :P i also need to chat with u about the payment as well... it seems like u guys havn't charged me for it. :-

right i just got my new rear wheel built up by adam at tartybikes and it is truly awesome. It was sent off to hope to have a new ratchet put in and it came back with new everythings in the same hub shell. i havn't ridden trials on it yet as i know you have o bed them in first... my question is how long should i spend bedding it in before i start riding on it properly?

actually these are the ones you want for a 2005 louise. the pads with 2 tabs on them. link to pads the red ones are the softest compound and are generally regarded as the best pads available. at least thats what was said when i asked for my louise. 14 replys and they all said the same thing. GET EBC REDS!!!

cheers for the number, i went to look for that place in melton today but it has been knocked down unfortunately :o :( :P . i did however find some really crazy wall/stairway/gappage area near the swimming pool. I don't think i'm gonna be good enough to try it though. :P I also found some weird wall line near some stairs that might need trying  . But i think we're just gonna have to have a look around while we're there and go exploring because there isn't an amzing amount of stuff to ride over there. I just hope it's warmer tomorrow than it has been today. melton is always colder than everywhere else around it. (Y) :S

as far as i knew the americans had the rear brake on the right side of the bars, least they were when i last went there, plus they drive on th right side of the road. i may be completely wrong though. :P :) i quite like the look of the bike but i wudn't want one. :)

yeah i'm definately going, it'll be a rite laugh. my hub is skipping loads lately so i think we need to keep the camera on me so we can get a nasty bail when it does go.   i'm gonna check out a rumoured riding place tomorrow to see if it's as good as i've been told. (Y) anyways yeah i'm going. i'll chat to u on msn and giv u me mobile number so i can ring you if i get delayed, which i quite often do. :"> kris

That red bike is mine! But yeah i do think a longer bike would suit me more, i tried getting a longer stem to see if that would make a difference and it does help, the only trouble is it don't make up for the fact i'm 6'5" and i'm riding on a 1040 wheelbase. plus i can't afford to get a new frame and i love my bike at the minute. i'm only wanting a new rear wheel because mine dosn't like me. EDIT: really appalling spelling :">
