cheers for the comments, i'm trying to keep the freeriding stuff a bit shorter in the next video and i'm gonna get some more varied trials riding into it as well. so it's not all hopping and gaps. :">

If you tried the search there's loads of info on this. for example: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....er+bleed+waynio i used sebJT's method when i did my magura and i havn't had a problem at all.

some of your monstrous taps could probably destroy one of these frames... (Y)" (Y)

Here we go then, hope you enjoy. Sorry it's on eenigoendidee but it's the only video upload place that works on my colleges network, and i have 56k at home which could take me a while. Anyways, enjoy! :D Thrashed 4 video on eengoendidee link (click me) EDIT :"> : Comments Welcome :P :D

if we're goin :P then i think most people may be surprised that most of the galaxy chocolate bars in england are made in melton in the pedigree pet foods factory.

I used to use foam grips for a while but i found that i gripped them harder with my hand whixh resulted in me getting considerable aches in my fingers. I now use odi longneck grips, the only downside is if i'm riding gloveless the grips get all slippy and i have to put some gloves on to get a decent grip.

theres no point keeping the bash on, just use a bashring on your crank it'll do the job fine. plus the bash that comes with it is a standard crappy metal bashplate and it isn't very strong at all. My first one snapped whenb i was taking it off the frame. all i did was unscrew the bolts :) :)" They don't ride heavy either because of the short chainstays. so they ride like a super paper machine just a bit stronger.

yeah i would be up for goin to ride in melton i got to the sixth form college there, i'm staying on an extra year because i f**ked up my A levels :"> , but anyway.... i've seen a couple of things i want to do there and would be more than willing to come out riding. i'll get conner and ben to come out as well hopefully. I live in syston but it's only a train ride away. add me to msn if you want and we can talk later. might as well go soon while we still have a good chance of having nice whether on the day we want to go. >_< my addy is: krisboats@hotmail.com

i just reckon they must find that the trade off for weight isn't worth it. i mean, you'll still dent it if it's thicker because of the giant whole in the middle of the tube. but if you make it heavier the lighter riders will find it harder to ride and they won't dent it but the heavier riders will still be able to dent it. i bet they just think it'd be easier to let the heavy riders use an armourdillo and keep it light for the light riders. learn how to weld and then start your own buisness. that way you can try it see what it's like.

There is also the fact that discount bicycles are the biggest bunch of bike shop cowboys i've ever had the pleasure of buying a bike off. Basically if you bought it they WILL tell you it's your fault if it breaks and that you can't return it if it's the wrong part if you want to send it back. Once your money's with them you won't get it back. I bought a shogun gatecrasher off them when i first started mtbing and within 1 week of me riding it as i was changing gears the chain got caught on my tyre and ripped my mech off the frame. When i rang them up they told me i should have made periodic adjustments to my barrel adjuster to keep the mech shifting correctly then they said the chain must have stretched :( :D . when i told them it was only a week old they ended up shouting at me saying that i don't know anything about bikes :D then they hung up. I only wanted a new mech hanger. :( I rang shogun up and they said they'd had a lot of complaints about that shop and they sent me a new mech hanger, rear QR skewer and axle, as well as all the bearings and bolts for the rear wheel. just in case my axle had bent as well. Just thought it'd be better for you if you knew.

i personnally disagree. :P put yourself in their situation... there's some monstrously large rock that your going to have to get up. and you can only hop like half that height. would u feel more stupid and "bent" putting one foot down to get up it after jumping up half of it, or would you feel more stupid having everyone looking at you while you give up and walk around the obstacle. all i'm saying is i know which one i'd prefer. mine did the exact same thing the other day. i got hope shit shifter on it and couldn't get it off at all. anyways, i went out riding with jono and conner and jono got me to ride around while holding the brake on. then we splashed water on it and watched it steam and hiss. i got the bite back in the brake and it meant i was able to ride again, well, till my chain snapped. :ermm: just out of curiosity what did u do to get it working again?

i think although it doesn't seem fair it is actually completely fair. (Y) they both do the same amnount of coverage for the company don't they? i mean, if u see an awesome rider you notice them more than an average rider so the sponsor gets the level of coverage they want. If you see a girl riding you immediately notice her because there's less girls riding than guys, so u notice the sponsor as much as you would if she was a feckin awesome rider. (plus there's always the fact that a guy will notice a girl rider to see if she's fit/hot/f**kin gorgeous as well (Y) ) i think it's basically how the company see's the riders as a tool for making money. the one's with the most attention get the most money off. plus there's always the fact it pushes the midrange level sponsored guys to get as good as the awesome riders, get better = more money off. i wud see that as an insentive (sp?) if i was a sponsored rider. sorry for the long(ish) post

i'm not havin a go so don't take this the wrong way but you just managed to argue the exact opposite of everything anyone said. and i wasn't having a go at road riders in general but i was trying to piss off that one particular mardyarse on there and it worked as well. so needless to say there isn't going to be any more posts on there from me. I even wrote this as well to say sorry but it seems they have suspended my account name (quite understandably) i am sorry for anybody i pissed off with this.

Anybody Got Any Pictures Of Custom Backings/pads?
Krisboats replied to Luke_bradley's topic in Trials Chat
did the other idea about the mounts not work then? on topic: i seen a guy with a backing bodge the other week. it was a pair of normal black backings with the rubber ripped out and he'd screwed them onto a normal pair of brake pads, with some super glue as well to make sure they're strong. I can't say how long they'd last/ if it'd be safe though but he was gapping a fair way and they seemed to work alright. sorry for not having a pic and clogging the thread. :"> -
love you too :- they aren't baseless. they do wear lycra and they do shave their legs. yeah but they were being all snotty on there talkin about idiot kids riding from one side of the road to another. basically bunnyhopping up a curb. have you ever done that. they were saying that was stupid and wreckless, my post wasn't even that offensive! (Y) my post was fctually explaining many different viewpoints across, then i had a dig at the arrogant b*****d. no harm in that.

ahhh thats nice. someone has genuinely changed for the better. It's cool your gettin back into something you love doing. i don't really know if it's supposed to get a reply or not but it looked lonely so i posted.

here you go... can't really explain it better than this, a picture really is worth a thousand words.

i'll draw a picture from the manual i'll post back in a few minutes

if there's that much room can't you just switch the mount clmaps round so that they are nearer the rim. i did that on my shogun gatecrasher with a crappy veulta airline rim and it was fine. just like a magura is normally. It explains exactly what i mean in the magura manual on page 7 in instruction number 3. basically you take the left clamps and put the quick release adapter on this mount, then fit this clamp around the right slave cylinder. screw in the right hand side of the booster as well. Then attach the right clamp onto the left side and fit them onto your mounts on the frame. and hey presto, your cylinders are about 1-2cm further in towards your rim. hope it helps.

posted on the roadie forum, just to wind them up a bit (Y)

I just got Gaz's Pm. I think i might head down to nott's for the day. I could get conner and ben to come as well. depending on whether my ankle is better ( i fell in a ditch yesterday and sprained it), i can't imagine it being bad for more than a week at most though. it bloody best not be or i'll go mad from not riding. so is it the saturday or the sunday because i'll need to get a train from either syston or leicester to get there. cheers kris

I was checkin out the bargain basement area on chain reaction (yes i am a cheap skate) and have never seen one before. :P" Has any one ever used one and are they worth getting because my comp 24 is awesome but getting low on tread. Bit highly priced though, specially seeing as they're in the sale. (Y) click the, rubber tube of spikey bobbles, link cheers. :)

nope, wiggle don't have the red pads for a louise with a single hole mounting on the pad. they have the stupid gay two hole one's
-
right, i'm posting this for conner (gap to manual) because his internet is gayed up. basically he got a new frame, came round my house to swap the parts over and use the crank extractor and when we put his rear wheel in, the hub is mega tiny and the QR skewer pulls his dropouts in by about 1cm before it's even touching the ends of the hub. Basically he needs to know if this will cause any long term problems and if it's possible to whack a bigger axle in there. The wheel is too far over to one side of the frame as a result as well, the tyre nearly rubs on the frame. cheers kris
