  1. Excellent, thanks Can you recommend a good 'iso burning software', im downloading windows 7 pro off the microsoft site (i get it for 30quid) and it says i need that to burn it to disc to do a fresh install? Also, i would like to back up my bookmarks, saved passwords, etc on firefox. How do i do this?
  2. sorry to hijack, but how do i backup my laptops drivers? id like to do a system wipe, and install windows 7 but i dont want to screw myself up and have a laptop that only half works...
  3. I made some disc brake pads out of rimjam red material...they were lethal!
  4. Yeah i lowered them for him, Pashleys dont come like that as standard. As far as i know of, im the only person that does it now (within the trials community) as Clive Leeson has stopped
  5. Yup, i agree, hence me building my 24 a while back with a nice high bb and bars +50mm bb i think, nice and short. Perfect
  6. Hang on...why are you removing the starnut? You will need that...all you need is a suitable length bolt and a washer, and hey presto the head doctor fits. Alternatively FSA made a red topcap that matches up nicely to hope red and wont need a washer.
  7. Or save yourself hassle and run a smaller diameter starnut (1 inch fits those forks i believe), then run a new bolt through the head doctor top cap and skip the head doctor mechanism completey? Save yourself time and save yourself the hassle when you snap the alloy bolt on the head doctor like everybody else seems to! No point just changing everything because of a stupid little top cap
  8. After driving a 205gti 1.9, i would definately recomend it if you are after some giggles. They are so much fun, and put a massive grin on your face apparently the 1.6 isnt much different to the 1.9 until higher speeds, so im guessing 60-70 onwards the 1.9 will shine over the 1.6.
  9. just get some longer forks, like some old pures or something
  10. Thats the one, couldn't remember what the feck it was called
  11. ARBs aside, isn't there also a problem with the 'tunnel' where the driveshaft is? There isnt enough clearance for loads of lows, so you have to get it cut out and a new higher section welded in?
  12. Hes right, and mopeds arent exactly rocket science either! Do it yourself, or find a friend whos got some knowledge
  13. get a sharran badge if you intend on keeping one, look tons better. Sold the cupra seats today really should get on with breaking the rest of the car...effort
  14. ALG wont be applicable if shes done sixth form as far as i know of. Assuming she has that is
  15. george seamons is running some ultra cheap skanky ones with no worries so far, personaly i wouldnt bother (they are cheap for a reason!) but seeing as yours is only a 1.6, its not like you are going to worry lots about super duper handling and stuff?
  16. mud dock used to make a twin chain system for stocks, but it all ran on one side. Its all unecessary added weight though, modern chains and freewheels are great when maintained
  17. cheers moggles! Its black cloth, from a leon cupra. The drivers side has a burn mark, so a black cloth pathc has been sewn on top, could do with replacing. Make me a sensible offer
  18. Could of sworn it was a Megamo! I dont ride now, i have a Pashley GHZ still but im far too busy with other things to ride
  19. This was literally the last few weeks before scotty sold up, i used to ride regularly with george seamons, marge, stu, etc. We rode the beach front in lowey, and that little woods thing next to the cafe.
  20. I've snapped one whilst doing a stoppy, although that was an old formula brake that was a little too fragile. Rotors do bend as well, quite alot more easily than you would think.
  21. No way, last time i saw you, you had a megamo mod. I used to ride a black base ta26, with a streety setup if you remember me.
  22. Im suprised man thought you were a VAG geek!
  23. but seeing as the a4 gearbox doesnt sit to the side of the engine in the bay, it sits behind engine kinda going underneath the cabin, surely they will be a completely different fit?
