  1. My Tryall is the tits, pisses all over anything else ive had (hope xc and bulb, chris king, eno, acs, profile) Quick tip if you do get one, spray a little bit of WD40 into it from the off, this thins down the grease and makes them far more reliable in my experience, mine has only skipped once since doing it, not like it mattered cos it engaged so quickly after I would probably avoid the try all if you intend on going through lots of deep puddles and ride in places where fine grit can get into the freewheel, they arent exactly well sealed and cant be serviced
  2. I think some of you are missing the point, he had a can in his hand, you cant just grab the steering wheel when you have your coke in your hand, having your hand on the gearstick all the time isnt so bad, as you can jump your hand back on straight away without having to think 'oh shit, i need to either drop my can, or put it down somewhere before i suddenly turn' this all slows down your time to react. Fiddling around trying to find buttons is distracting, but then if you arent a spaz you should know where the buttons are without even looking! Again i dont necesarilly agree with the cops decision but strictly speaking you arent in full control whilst eating your apple or dunking toast in your poached egg because you didnt have time for breakfast, and so that is illegal-DEAL WITH IT
  3. same as sam, decent enough pedals but for trials i found the pins went to shit pretty quickly
  4. Holding the cans so you dont have to? Either way its not legal, as silly as it may seem as everybody does it, its the law, deal with it!
  5. My brother does decorating, and also dabbles in tiling, it seems to be a pretty handy skill to go along with it. He also does plastering like you want to, apparently its pretty easy I've dabbled in all that too, its really good to be a handy man! Be careful about doing electrical work though, fixing plugs and switches is easy but saying you can rewire a kitchen or something isnt advisable! EDIT: oh yeah, when cutting, manual tile cutters are really shit unless you get a decent one, i used a 4 1/2 grinder with a stone cutting disc and it left perfect edges as well as being easier to get angles on
  6. The batterns are so you keep straight The only advice i can really give is use your level ALL the time, i learnt that after making a total balls up of my bathroom... be really fussy about even the slightest bit of wonkiness as it will show through the rest. Tile spacers come in 2 different sizes, choose a suitable one for the size of tile you are suing, small tiles with big spaces look stupid. Adhesive should be premixed? It should be thick as fook, if its runny the tiles will just slop off.
  7. At a guess you will need 20-25mm of stackers with such a low stem, cant hurt to whack loads in and experiment really! It all depends on your height and riding style i run my bars tilted slightly forwards, because then the sweep feels better for me and when im on the back wheel the bars are then at a normal angle (like how they would be run on a bike where its kept on 2 wheels) I have never heard of that finger in bars technique but that make sense haha! I have always just done it by eye and little adjustments after to my personal preference Laid back bars feel shit, i dont get how riders can run them like that

  9. As much as some of the Vista features f**k me off sometimes (i have disabled most of it now) mine runs very fast on my laptop (hp dual core 2ghz, 3 gig ram) and has been reliable so far. I pretty much only use my laptop for photoshop and it breezes it really well, far better than my mates new macbook which seems a bit silly! Anyway, laptop advice, i recently bought the above hp mentioned for 500ish (i got money off by being sneaky, which took it down to 350) and its great, apparently the cheaper versions of mine are also supposed to be great for the price. Up your budget to 400 and there should be plenty of capable machines around, i think staples have a good laptop on offer atm for a very nice price
  10. Zoot= 90x15 stem, 2inch rise bars, alll groovy! i ran 10mm of stackers and it felt awesome
  11. As much as i like 24s, 26 really is where its at for me. I've owned a high specced zoot (not a spasticly setup one like most people) and it was great, ive also ridden various other 24s and liked them lots but they never seem to feel as good as a stock to me for street. I currently have a 26ghz and its stupidly great for everything, i cant think of anything i hate about it. The geo is a brillaint medium for spins and manuals, as well as feeling confident on larger gaps and drops. I also owned a curtis stock and it was the shittest thing known to man, i hated the thing, it handled like shit, and so does every other curtis i have ridden i really cant stand curtis products, others will say the opposite im sure, my curtis forks lasted all of 2 weeks before snapping and having 3 other cracks in them...Super hardcore strong forks indeed.
  12. i have a 36h rear hope xc in gunmetal i would sell?
  13. Sweet! mine needs a wider rim and a new tube and its done
  14. its the biggest you need...itll take a 2.5 probs judging by the space in mine, but theres no point
  15. what actual size do you need gay boy? pm me the sizes and i shall pop to my local fabricators, they will sort me with something pobs then i can chuck it to you on the next ride?
  16. George, just give her the ipod back? Buy Hannah a cassette tape player and keep the change, you know it makes sense.
  17. Whilst we have a ghz topic...i need a wider rear rim, my d521 is a bit narrow, will a dx32 still be ok with a v-brake on this frame?
  18. f**k their sisters (regardless of age-not that you will have a problem adrian )
  19. 90x15degree stem and some 2-2 1.2 inch rise bars feel perfect for me my ghz bunnyhops really well, its incredibly flicky i love it! I use a raceface prodigy stem and some kore freeride bars with 2 inch rise (in preference to azonic doublewalls, which i now dont like all that much)
  20. I love those shows, Chris Morris is fantastic. Do you remember when his paedophile special of Brasseye got banned because it was too offensive? I'm confused as to who actually complained, unless it was just a whole load of nonces? Unfortunately, the over sensitive PC crew are here to stay, it's a vicious circle. People don't seem to be able to realise that the joke is against the sterotype of the subject its aimed at, rather than what it really is. Of course there are exceptions which tend to be more directly aimed at individuals or small groups, but in this case Clarkson doesn't appear to of aimed it directly at the suffolk murders, there is no mention of them apart from the word prositute, so its up to the viewers interpretation?
  21. Ohhhhhhh! I was reading the description for ages thinking 'whatttt?'
