    Chain Tugs

your cams are dodgy - just as well it was only me that saw you go arse over tit coming back from the bike shop in cambridge the other week really I got some steel cams a few weeks back and its all been lovely. I haven't had much of a chance to damage them yet but first impressions are good. They're not notched so you can get exactly the right tension too

    .~

Who do I have to sleep with to get a go on one ?
  4. it's little gits like this who make me think about quitting. 14 and he's a beast
  5. Decent V's are more expensive than maggies and like others have said, you have to lube and tension cables and bugger about with springs etc every so often in order to get them to work as well as a maggie. So yeah Vs are great more money + more work = same performance as a maggie
  6. I've been waiting to see that for a very long time. once you've mastered trials you can start doing some downhill - that'd be excellent
  7. front wheel high = stay on back wheel longer slightly bendy arms I guess but it depends on how long your arms are really
  8. Maybe your steerer is too long to allow you to tighten everything up properly - meaning the topcap isn't clamping down on the stem - its hitting the steerer instead. I was getting that when I stuck new forks on my t-poo a while back - I just kept filing away at the end of the steerer till it sorted itself out.
  9. I like the toxsin - it stops me wanting a monty and makes me want a toxsin instead. This is good because they cost less than montys do. I also like the way you ride your bike, lotsa power and bike chucking.
  10. I like tar because I don't have a grinder and I like rims that havent been raped by powertools. I like tar because it makes my plazmatics go HONK!! I like tar because it will make almost any brake setup work properly (for a limited period) but.... I don't like tar because it's not good in the wet I don't like tar because it can stick your pads to your rim - this is not a good thing, particularly if gapping or dropping off stuff. I don't like tar because it makes your pads and rims all shitty so they don't work properly without tar (unless you clean everything)
  11. That's the book. I remembered the dog thing now, It went something like this... If you have a pet dog and the pet dog has puppies then the pet dog is a mother - since the pet dog is yours it must be your mother. therefore, your mum is a bitch . fooking genius.
  12. Once you've got the technique down for lower stuff ( 24- 30 inches) it's a matter of taking off closer to the wall and tucking like a mofo. You should be able get at least another 12 inches just by tucking more - like when pigeoning . Getting closer to the wall means you don't have to travel so far forward - which means you can put more grunt into the up part. I always end up getting higher and cleaner if I try to tap and miss um, staying on the back is a lot easier if you get up clean but it's basically a case of bendy legs and hanging your arse out
  13. They probably get that sort of thing all the time and are proper sick of dealing with it. Also - strictly speaking (and im not 100% on this) XP is only licensed for the hardware you bought it with. If you buy a boxed copy for £300ish you can use it anywhere but if you get it free with the machine (or as an OEM version with a hard disk etc) it's only really legal to use it on the hardware it came with. Of course nobody pays any attention to that and it's entirely possible to swap the hardware out without fooking it - provided you don't lose your activation key - which you did. To be fair though. The whole licensing thing is filthy, I hate the fact you don't get a full copy of the OS on CD with a machine when you buy it because this is exactly the sort of thing that happens to people. You could try calling up the people you bought the machine from in the first place to see if they keep a record of the activation codes they send out with the machines but otherwise you're basically buggered
  14. which is precisely why being gay is easier
  15. He's a philosopher of some description. In all honesty I dont know much about him beyond once reading a book which had some bit in it where he proved (by using logic) that if you have a pet dog it must be your mother (or something to that effect)
  16. I posted about both It's about time the rest of you ladies got some vids together if you ask me - maybe it'll quiet down the ignorant bastards who reckon girls can't ride properly.
  17. no no no no no no no acs freewheels are not good. they come undone, they wobble, they click and they feel like they're made of plastic. they also only have 36 eps eno freewheels are very good. they don't come undone, they don't wobble, they feel like they're made of metal. they have 72 eps If your eno isn't good you either aren't maintaining it properly or you've got a broken one that you should have replaced under warranty. in answer to the original question -check onzaboymarks official eno thread - i think its in the FAQ section of trials chat All you probably need to do is give it a good flush out with GT85 or similar and then run it with a bit of lovely thin lube. The thick blue goo squeezes out of the bearings as it beds in and can cause your pawls to slip when they should be engaging. Mines been running for months without a hint of a funny noise after I last flushed it out
  18. ooh, someone's been reading bertrand russel
  19. yep - ive got somemoney sitting here that really wants to be spent on the zoo ISIS ones. they look groovy in silver too. while we're here. which ISIS bb to get ? - ideally not £70 but also not made of paper
  20. er, make slots instead of holes - then it'll fit more bikes
  21. when i was a boy they had a 24" cruiser class in bmx racing. they probably still do.
  22. - possibly the finest excuse for stealing software i've ever heard. Why would you want to phone them up ? You can buy it from the shops.
  23. our shins don't hurt though do they? . anyway, the 661 veggies ought to be fine. If you decide to go for the knee/shin combo ... do em up right and you hardly know they're, get it wrong and they're a complete pain in the arse
  24. my bmx has had the same chain since about '96 so ten years . I havent ridden the bike in about 5 though
