    From the album: my t-pro

  2. i think the zoos are about 29 or 30 inch wide but they look a similar sort of shape (if its the onza risers not the flats) - that said, looks can be very deceiving with bars. The onzas are supposed to be good though so you ought to be alright
  3. Tapping a mod isn't all that hard. I can do it and I'm shite. roll, pull, bash, hope .... I find I can get pretty much the same height whichever way I do it although bunnyhops have a slight edge. Taps are the way to go if you don't have much run-up though. to get the forward motion you probably just need to go faster and tap higher up the obstacle . The lower you hit it the more you bounce up and back .
  4. zoo risers - assuming you have a 31.8 clamp I picked them cos they're quite high and their shape gives you a large range of adjustment for comfort n stuff . I was going to get some echo toughs but I'd been getting sore wrists on my standard t-poo bars and wanted some with slightly flatter ends. They flex a little if you lean on them but it's not something you notice while riding, compared to the set of toxsin bars I've got on my old bike they're stiff as hell . in all, lovely EDIT:: odd - got 2 copies of my post there
  5. i love that avatar - does milkgonewild.com really exist? (im at work) erm. tarty sent mine with the wheels and bars off and stuffed in next to the frame - it cut the postage down to a tenner cos couriers charge for volume as well as weight
  6. if that was alex it would have been balls. his are massive
  7. Bike: t-poo 05 with t-mag spec Type: Mod Pros: green, not too big, creepy crawlers Cons: ACS claw, extremely heavy front end What I'd Change: freewheel, forks, stem, bars to eno, zoo, t-master, zoo respectively (at least thats what I did) Recommend? yep, absolutely - if you haven't already got a better bike.
  8. 2 things help with that. 1. lighter forks/bars/stem 2. use your arse rather than your arms to keep the front up - ie. have bendy knees not straight knees. Dont bounce for the sake of it either - you only need to bounce to correct your balance
  9. I'd have been more upset about the whole floppy snail cam incident on the way back from the bike shop to be honest... In all it was a good day. There was some fine quality riding happening (nothing to do with me) and that dirty great electric box / rail gap was just silly, I wouldn't go anywhere near it, even if I thought I could make it (or up to it for that matter). wish I'd had the energy for lions yard now...
  10. ash, normally i'd say you're a cantankerous little sod with too much time on his hands but this time i think you deserve a biscuit
  11. the weathers looking pretty positive this evening so i don't reckon there'll be much frost happening - station is more fun than skatepark anyway though so it's a much better idea. sad news. julien's not gonna make it on account of the move so everyone's just gonna have to make do with laughing at me instead
  12. i'll put em in my bag. you going to be at the station or the skatepark ? if i'm late, simon has my number - think olly does too , don't be afraid to wake me up...
  13. if that's the black'n'silver CNC one that costs £20 you'll be fine for tyre clearance - ive got one on my t-poo with a 2.5 creepy crawler, there's not a lot of space but there's enough.
  14. if you're still really screwed I've got a set of nearly new VP cages i can bring along. pm me or post here if you need em and ill check back later.

    Tartybikes

woo! nice to see they've got the online ordering sorted - should give the lads more time to answer stupid questions about sticker cutting machines and cheap onza grips from me. I'm with Simon on the design though - the colour combination mings, cellpadding is evil, table borders are evil and big black stripes upset my eyes. that said .... The new banner is very pretty and the download times are much better for poor saps like me who havent got their broadband installed again yet
  16. ooh - I'll come sunday too usual meeting place n time is it? doubt Julien will make it, he's moving house this time (I'm sposed to be helping out but meh...)

    Help Me!

that probably won't work it sounds like you've got something similar to CWS (don't worry too much, you probably won't lose any data) check your default homepage URL in internet options - it probably points to a .dll file or something else weird - if it looks normal (ie. ends in html), set it to default - this should make the URL look weird do a google search for the name of the file in your default homepage - this will probably tell you exactly which spyware/trojan you've contracted and hopefully furnish you with something to remove it. if not there's a possibility you'll find some weird named folders in C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\Local Settings later versions of CWS squirrelled their shite away in much harder to find places than that so i wouldn't be too hopeful on that front good luck and don't enter any credit card details till you're rid of it

    Olympics

I don't see why it wouldn't make a decent olympic sport. XC happened at the athens games and trials is just another form of mountain biking. Comp trials has a decent set of rules and I think I'm right in saying there's drug testing etc going on anyway. The impression i get (and i know bugger all so please correct me if wrong) is that most of the trials governing bodies don't have a lot of money to throw around for promotion of the sport - and without the bigger companies chucking some funds in they aren't going to be able to get a decent bid together. The bigger companies probably arent going to be all that interested in putting all their money into an olympic bid because they won't be allowed to write their names on everything or send their pro riders to compete (because the olympic comittee doesn't like corporate sponsorship or allow professional athletes to compete)

    Got A Problem

chain tugs? it's slipping when you pedal right?
  20. What gets the bike off the ground is the jump&tuck - rather than the pedal. If you can bunnyhop and backwheel up stuff then you ought to be pretty comfortable with hopping - if you can't then learn that before worrying about pedalhopping along the ground. You really don't need to crank much when you put the pedal in - an 8th or 16th turn is plenty for little hops. Also, maybe try putting the pedal in later - after you've started chucking yourself forward rather than before. I think those two things might be what are causing you to roll rather then hop
  21. just to clear up the odd point... eno has 72 eps profile has 48 eps king has 72 eps when fitted they give you - at the pedals, on a mod with 18/12 gearing... eno 72 profile 72 king 108 if you have £400 ( call it £500 if you're building a wheel and currently have FFW) for a rear hub then get a king if you have £170 (call it £270 if you're building a wheel and currently have FFW) for a rear hub then get a profile if you have £85 get an eno eno's absolutely piss on ACS claws - period.
