some - but not all - of my working life is spent making less interesting things than that. get 3D studio MAX , spend about 4 hours a day on average using it, wait 9 years, voila.... ta very much for saying it's nice.

like somebody up there said... Mentioning that it's an actual sport with rules and governing bodies would be a good plan - it gives it a bit of an official feel rather than just being kids mucking about on bikes.
-
If only we could persuade our marketing department that that's the case.....

On a vaguely rlated note . . . Are rotors pretty much standard?. Ive got a louise FR and I've just scored the disk pretty badly on a big concrete flowerpot, would I just be able to dump pretty much any old rotor in it - assuming it's the right size ?
-
here you go If I remember, I'll update the pic when I've finished making it - for those that care 3dsmax 8 - about 10-12 hours work so far

evo2 is the adaptor you use so you can run an hs33 on v-brake mounts . - they come in the box when you buy an 05 Hs33. the booster shaped thing that comes in the box is not a booster, it's for mounting the brake. It won't reduce flex because its made of springy metal and is only about 3mm thick - it sits under the brake mounts if you've fitted it according to the instructions so isn't going to do much boosting anyway. dont call him half wit you half wit

Whats Beeter For My Mod Profile Or Eno?
poopipe replied to thee-mike's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
nooo dammit, do the maths king = 72 engagements in the freehub, 108 engagements at the pedals -
er. yes - as long as it isn't wet. they're also good on a smooth rim without tar - as long as it isn't wet or really cold and you haven't got them mucky by using tar.
-
er, koxx frames cost twice what the Deng ones do and (apparently) snap twice as quickly. Thats what the point is.

Whats Beeter For My Mod Profile Or Eno?
poopipe replied to thee-mike's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
eno = 72 engagements in the freewheel , 72 engagements at the pedals profile = 48 engagements in the freehub , 72 engagements at the pedals this is because of the gear ratio you run on a mod (72-48 = 1.5-1 = 18-12 ) eno £85 profile £170 plus wheelbuild and fixed cog king bmx hub = £420 = forget it... -
oo - my mistake, it's not massively long term though is it? I think they still waive the student loan when you're 65 (they'll probably up that with the retirement age) which is nice enough, but who the f**k wants to earn 15k a year their whole life A grant? in this day and age? I got a £75 quid grant for my first year at uni. I was insulted till it made my nose hurt

oooh. i just read back a couple of pages and it seems we have manuel to add to the list as well . the ranks are swelling (yay! 4) . What we need now is a post a pic of your pint thread

HSBC do an 8% interest savings account - whichis pretty high for a low hassle savings account. i think you can get your mitts on the cash at fairly short notice if you really need to. I think its a year turnaround time but it may be 6 months. To get massive interest you're most likely looking at a much longer term solution (several years) - with much arsier conditions on getting your money out of it. It might be worth weighing it up against the cost of a student loan. But I'd be surprised if the rates got good enough to cover it. Just to give you an idea, I've been paying over £100 a month out against mine for the last 2 and a bit years (out of the country & dole till then - ) and I only borrowed £2400 The only surefire way to pay for university (unless mummy&daddy pay for it all) is to sell drugs - a part time job would just interfere with homework and you wouldnt earn feckall worth having anyway .

I'd buy a king if they were £200 but I just can't justify spending £420 on a hub - even if it is the dogs danglies & will last forever. If you like freehubs then consider a profile - £170 ish. 48 eps(72 at the pedals), a lot easier to get hold of than a king bmx too. I'm more than happy with my eno FW. I gave it a good rinse out with gt85 after a month and i've never looked back. You get the same effective engagements as a profile at half the price - plus all the groovyness that comes with a FFW (noisy endos ).

in answer to the original question... - ask someone whos got a short python what they're like cos the zhi will be mostly the same. Theres a few differences in the cnc bits from what i remember but thats about it. its a waste of money importing one when you can get a short 05 python for 250 from tarty

it'd worry me a lot more if i were a 13year old girl

Out of that lot, I'd go for the semi-mx because of the protection on the back. (661 do a similar shaped one, so do Bell) The few times I have cracked my head hard it's been slipping off a rail or something and and an XC style lid wouldn't have helped much at all in those situations. (just as well I have a pisspot really) Don't buy online without trying it on in a bike shop first - you have to make sure the lid fits or its not gonna do you any good at all.
