so presumably you can get them custom built to your own specifications - like the TF tape measure? on a related note - is there a set of TF scales i can get ? - it'd be nice to get the bike below 10kg without resorting to lighter parts

The secret is in getting the front unweighted with your wrong foot during the run up.

the squeak is the best thing about them - still there's no accounting for taste. I'd recommend the plazmatics on a smooth rim based on using them for the last few months. The only problem with them is that they absolutely do not work when wet. oh, and I fully sympathise with anyone who gives up reading the brake pad reviews thread - it's extremely confusing cos its 90% reviews of heatsink pads that aren't in production anymore.

Why not just print yourself up some zona t-shirts & stickers, plaster yourself and your bike with them and tell everyone you're sponsored? It'll save you all the hassle of going to and winning comps and you'll earn exactly the same amount of money out of it...

could be that - are you into van gogh ? theres a lovely museum all about him too. I went over again last March (hadn't been for about 5 years) and because I'd calmed down on the whole ganja thing it seemed like any other capital city - in that you get ripped off for food, beer and drugs. as far as the ID thing goes. the manky little coffeeshops will probably be fine serving underage people - much like the manky little off-licenses are over here. Taking your own weed into coffeeshops never got me in trouble - for the most part their main business isn't selling ganja, it's selling coffee, cakes and hot chocolate (hence the term coffee shop)

er - about half a day to do it with no control at all, a year to develop some semblance of control over it - ie. lining up for sidehops etc.. a light front end makes it a shed load easier - swapping t-poo forks for zoo cnc ones = hopping forever

It seems a little odd to us I'll grant but you just can't draw parallels between what we do and what they do in the far east. It's not all that long ago you'd have been offered a choice between a duck, a boy and a girl for your pleasure when you went to stay at a posh japanese bloke's house. They just do things differently out there. Personally, I'm well into pretend schoolgirls (with the emphasis on pretend) and french maids so I think it's a great idea.

I was going to write an essay but that link just about does the trick. It's a bit of a one sided argument but given the state of affairs at the moment I can't help feeling it's time to pick a side & i know which one I'm on. I doubt the vast majority individual muslims are evil by nature (the muslims i've met havent been - so far), even the suicide bombers who've been slaughtering innocent women and children on buses in israel for the last 40 (or whatever) years were probably perfectly reasonable people if you sat down and had a chat about films or football. The ones to blame are the clerics and religious leaders who've been deliberately making sure the faithful stay un-educated and are under a constant barrage of propaganda - It's a lot easier to control millions of people if the only ideas they're exposed to are the ones you feed them (rule 1 in the totalitarian dictator's handbook). It's the same principle as the dogma spouted by the catholic church in the middle ages, the nazis in germany and the communists in russia and china. The difference here is that nobody (except the US in recent years) has had the balls to stand up and do something about it before it became too widespread to contain. My fear is that its probably too late to settle the matter without an awful lot of people getting killed. The blame for that lies squarely in the laps of the liberal wankers in government who think we should be extra nice to angry brown people because they're all too backward to behave like civilised members of society. This is clearly bollocks, Muslims are no bloody different from the rest of us so why the hell should they be allowed to carry on like savages? oops, I still wrote an essay >> all IMO - please don't blow my house up..

if you're asking 'should i clean it?' then the answer is yes. clean = good i expect you should probably use a nice light lube after you clean it.

In response to the original question. Because if you do it during the week you have to suffer 8 hours at work with a hangover - and thats just nasty.

I used the same ACS on the back of my bmx for about 6 years - the dicta I had before that lasted less than a year. The worst thing that can happen is that it dies and you have to buy a new one - which is ok cos they cost nothing. so. yeah, if its on the back you 'll be sound for a long time - don't expect 6 years though, trials eats freewheels much quicker than bmxing

yup, heat. take the sides off the case - or buy more fans Athlons get stupid hot so if you're running one of them it'll be the automatic 'don't catch fire switch' turning it off so it doesn't catch fire.

agreed - not much point if all you're doing is trying to get up (good for extra boost on 360s though) - you need to find something at least 2 foot high that you can comfortably backwheel every time and just practice mashing your front wheel into it on the way up. Apart from the pure fun value, there doesn't seem to be much point in tapping (on mod at least) - the bike's so short you can probably backwheel anything you could tap anyway. That said, it is handy if you dont have room for a decent run up.
