  1. M18 x 1.0. Got a tap here if you need...
  2. How would you do it, other than compromising the geometry by dropping the BB height? A super long head tube would probably look even more weird (and reduce strength at the head tube join).
  3. Haha, yeah maybe Mark... Not really, you could just use, say, a 110x35 stem instead of a 95x10 and a load of spacers?
  4. They don't really, just they prefer that to a high rise (30-35 degree) stem...
  5. Yeah, Ali's had one on since the first day we got them, I'll be sticking one on my bike once my hand is up to riding trials again and Stan's gonna put one on his new build when his Sky frame arrives.
  6. Oops, that''ll be me getting mixed up Sorry!
  7. A few snaps from the day... Sunny Blackpool It was a bit choppy... Which resulted in a lot of this... And a fair bit of this! Stan Cap with the most appropriate T shirt ever Stan again Matt Rushton Tom Rigg Just chilling at the gay bar Martin Walker!!! TrialsRide.com Ali C making the sidehop Dave Kerr... well, you got away with that one didn't you mate! Ben Savage and his poorly ankle Bingo Bango Bongo James Sheridan and Sam Oliver (not riding due to recovering from broken wrist) Rob Poyser testing the grip! James Sheridan Andrew Walker Joe Oakley Chris Vibert Chris again with a young scholar Matt Burrows Ryan Crisp Irish guys (sorry Aaron, I don't know your mate's name!) The karts (2 stroke TKM and a Rotax I think?) on the track just down from the trial. Pretty rapid, the kid was chasing his dad (I think) for ages and finally managed to overtake, hehe. Hope you like Cheers Adam
  8. We got some of the new GU frames in and thought it would be rather cool to build them up into a pair of 'little and large' twins... here's the result! 20" model with dual Hope brakes: Wheelbase: 1010mm Chainstay Length: 362mm BB Rise: 60mm Head Angle: 72 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 615mm Weight: 9.92kg 26" model: Wheelbase: 1085mm Chainstay Length: 380mm BB Rise: 35mm Head Angle: 72 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 680mm Weight: 10.48kg Hope you like! Adam
  9. Any M12 washer should do the trick, however the better solution of the two is to trim the axle a tad, as an extra washer will mean you have to pull the frame apart a bit to get the hub in.
  10. Yes and no... Since you don't hang onto the wheel axles, increasing the wheelbase (although making the bike itself longer) will not actually make the bike FEEL longer to ride, hence a new stem being the best way to make the bike feel bigger.
  11. New stem will make a huuggeee difference, how much steerer do you have?
  12. They are 4 bolt, it's Chris Walfords bike, we warrantied them (well, put the value of them towards some Trialtechs).
  13. http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?produc...category_id=119 Hard plastic insert, designed mainly for unicycles so you know they are tough as old boots!
  14. You may or may not have heard about Singletrack's 'Classic Weekender' event held last weekend at Lee Mill Quarry, but it was a rather different event where each rider competed in trials, XC and DH to find an overall 'champion'. Ali C was on top form in the DH, setting the fastest time by almost 2.5 seconds!! http://www.singletrackworld.com/2009/07/si...ays-dh-results/ The trials was too easy unfortunately which didn't allow either him or Stan (who also entered and came 25th in the DH) to shine fully, and it was left to the XC race to determine the overall results... Ali held on and managed 11th overall which I reckon is pretty impressive on a 14" frame with 70mm stem, haha. Some pics: http://www.singletrackworld.com/2009/07/si...der-the-photos/ Then, after the XC race, Ali competed in the British Round of the trials and won that too, go Ali! 16. I have no idea why someone would make that sort of bullshit up (I have checked)
  17. LOL, good to see my degree wasn't completely useless...
  18. In the interests of impartiality... you missed Trials Display
  19. They certainly do: PS: Smacking it between two flat things doesn't do anything, the rotor needs to go back past the elastic limit of the material to bend it back straight.
  20. Well not really, it just needs 2 new bearings, 1 of which will have been on the way out for a long time, giving the user a clue that they might wanna fix it before it became a bigger problem! The bearings you need are 6802s Adrian

Just to add some info to this. Here is the picture we were sent: http://i648.photobucket.com/albums/uu203/p...ek/SNV31022.jpg You can see that the grind has a very nice texture but the pads aren't set up perfectly square which has caused the quick initial wear. Our reply was:
