  1. Access is just usually a lot easier with the engine on a stand - but I can see how you get excited ripping bits off in situ if you haven't got a way to get the engine out yet, I'd be the same!
  2. Might get 10% off if we book for 10 people or more, that's about it. Cost would be more than anyone wants to pay - if you think they have to book 60 on at £100 a pop to cover costs, and there would be about 15 of us... yeah... £400 each. Plus we'd have to sort our own insurance, marshalls, medical crew, etc. Not gonna happen.
  3. Ace! Maybe we should find a date at Blyton (great for beginners), Donington (central), somewhere like that and all book on?
  4. They aren't. Only similarities are that it's black and round and has holes for the spokes
  5. Fair play - going over the top on that first climb looks nuts!
  6. Process and technique is the same. Tension 80kg max for that rim. Dishing - remove one of the arms on the truing stand, flip the wheel over to check dish, easy Edit: Just Googled your truing stand, yeah, dishing gauge will be useful...
  7. Can you mix it with actual diesel to help thin it out for this weather?
  8. Put a washer between the hanger and main arm of the tensioner.
  9. What you want is a 2-Bolt HS33 booster: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/2bolt_boosters/trialtech_sport_2bolt_booster/c104p10739.html Might need some 5mm longer bolts, but might get away with it. Try it and see V-Brake booster won't help on that setup.
  10. Nope, never seen that before! Pics?
  11. Depends what rear sprocket size you use. 14T and under it might work. Anything bigger and I doubt it will.
  12. Holiday was beltin'... Needed that. Location: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@39.8286568,2.837189,3a,75y,347.94h,76.55t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAaWtebkFU1k5McB8VxHJgQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 Yes, that is the best road I've ever been on... (Ma-10 between Soller and Pollenca)
  13. Yes. But there are loads of other factors to consider.
  14. Should be similar strength then, in theory at least.
  15. Couple of things... . What's the weight of the Bonz bar? The published geometry of the Bonz bar won't be correct (as you've shown with your Photoshop).
  16. There isn't one unfortunately! Just look at the pretty pictures, that will do the job...
  17. It really isn't http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html
  18. Yeah, it's a trade-off. Single bolt clamps will always be neater, lighter and cheaper. If the lever is built well and doesn't leak, it shouldn't need removing often
  19. Good idea that - it is harder, but means you have to exaggerate the movements... which teaches you what works very quickly. Good improvement already!
  20. I see a lot of new products often, so have become completely desensitised to them... These, however, have held my attention for a long time. So many nice features and amazing quality. Almost makes me want rim brakes. Almost...
  21. Cool. So you know what to do. Go out and practice
  22. Something isn't right there... your weight should be in a position such that the front falls down 'automatically' when you land with the rear brake on. I think you need to try it off something higher, so the bike gets more vertical in the air.
