  2. Is this anything to do with new being slack? Apologies, been a busy weekend... Speaking of which, had an awesome day at Anglesey yesterday with @Mark W in the munter. I'm sure I'll subject you to the videos later...
  3. Try one again, embrace the slipperyness and your driving will improve massively Less wear and tear on brakes and tyres too... What's not to like!
  4. Sounds like every car in the wet if you're already on the limit of traction and you ask the tyre to do more work by applying throttle, it'll slide. The key is balancing everything to find the quickest / safest way round. I can teach you how and where to find more grip...
  5. Throttle isn't an on off switch you learn so much more in the wet...
  6. Oh yeah, I forget you guys have wrong wheel drive cars
  7. They won't fit unfortunately - there is just enough clearance 'static', but when you load the cranks up they will clip the stays...
  8. Put some dates forward, see what a few of us can make? Blyton is a good track, Cadwell is better IMO but much less forgiving... Edit: Wheels - yeah they are 4x100, the bore is big enough for an MX-5 for certain, but I'll check the size for Clio / Honda.
  9. Maybe we need an 'over 1.5 ton' category I'd happily give the van a blast around...
  10. I think it's the only place we could get hold of 'easily' - the others need insurance, etc. Was great fun last time so don't see why not I think March and April will be busy with people booking test days, but either side of that should be good.
  11. Ah I see, might be, Mike might have something else he can put forward No rush from my side, can grab a few pics if you like (but bear in mind they won't be clean, lol).
  12. It seems that they don't have Google in Leeds http://www.llandow.com/trackdays/cars/
  13. I've got some from my MX-5 that will fit a Clio. Black, 8 or 10 spoke, something like that. Straight, not kerbed, bit tatty generally, but perfect as track wheels. Got some T1Rs on at the moment which are hilarious fun, fronts on about 6mm and rears 3-4mm tread. £150 delivered or £120 if you want to pick em up? Not massively - I've seen a few Oulton days this month for £99, Cadwell at £89... and it'd save a lot on travel costs too. Definitely see how it's ideal for you though Mike, dead close!
  14. I guess I set myself up for that My point was that you could go to a different track that would be loads closer and loads better, like Blyton, Oulton, Cadwell, Donington, Croft...
  15. Do you know where Llandow is Dan? You can get to every other track in the UK in less time, and all of them are better... Happy to ask the question about another Curby day - people up for it? When?

  17. Welding looks pretty decent to me - a layer of powdercoat and it'd look totally different!
  18. Yep, that's the main point I was trying to make. Because she does care about you, she didn't want to hurt you, so kept things rolling 'as normal' until she couldn't bear it any longer. To 'cover up' like that takes a lot of resources, it's not an easy position to be in...
  19. It didn't. Instead of wanting to hurt your feelings, she hid away how she felt - been drifting apart from you for a while, but only now plucked up the courage to say something. You can give everything but if the spark isn't there, that's something you can't force. Don't be angry at her, I am almost certain it wasn't intentional on her part, and she probably feels as shit as you about what she's done. Edit: I don't know her, but I can identify with the situation...

  22. We'd be happy to if someone wants to send us one... We sold out ages ago.
  23. Ooohh, sorry. I'm not sure actually.
  24. Yeah Bessell put it in the wall - he was avoiding two other cars snakng around coming back onto the circuit, the evasive action put him on the soaking wet grass and that was that
