funny thing is, that when ever i have my gf etc in the car i drive like a complete nun and stay completely away from country lanes, as you say, killing myself is one thing but killing another perosn makes me an arse hole ??? yes but, on the other hand, i am not going to be the person who drive 20 in a 30 and never pushes the car at all, i know all that about the raods not being a race track, but, honestly there is a time and a place out in country lanes with no other bugger near, so, i'm all out for enjoying life and if i feel i can achieve that from rallying my little mini round tight neck, narrow, slippery roads with no one around and or in danger then so be it, some people might call me a t*** but, personal opiion

sorry i got bored of reading the last view massive posts... in short i haven't been driving all that long, only 9 months, and in that time i have changed my car 3 times.. 2 of them being for minis, i stated out with my first mini (road legal one) and it was great, but i got very much fed uip of the coughing and spluttering when ever it rained. Continious problems with the braking, pedal hitting the floor etc and nothign happening and all the other minor problems, starting in the morining etc. so i sold it and bought a mk4 polo, a nice modern reliable car that would go at 85mph and still be quite, steardy but most of all extremely boring to drive, i jumped in and nearly spun at the first rounabout in the wet, what a lot of crap for handling.. so yes, i old it very recently and bought yet another mini, so i traded a brilliant little car for something that struggles to start in the morning, makes alot of noise, brake fading etc etc etc.. but, i am young and it the best thing in the world being able to throw it into a corner on the country lanes, yes, if i crash there is a very large chance i will die in a colision, so i fitted buckets, harnesses and a cage, but hey theres still a fat chance i will die, but just as equally likely to get splattered by a bus crossing the road, so, sod it.., i'll risk it and enjoy the : way people notice way people always have a story about minis fun on country lanes harsh and bumpy travelling continous problems cost excessive amounts of money etc so to be fair, if i crash and die and crash and die, thats how lifes set in stone.. only difference being, i'm enjoying my time

not been caught alone, but missus stayed round, woke up in the morning with a huige rock on and she acted accordingly, anyways jumped ontop of her thinking everyone was a sleep and then my mum just walks in through the door so i just put my arms round her prtending to hug her, whilst i was still in the sloppy bucket talking to my mum gf gets incredibaly turned on by this and starts working the bed, i have a water bed, whilst still talking never spoke of it... but they do tak ethe piss with hints all the time, funny looking back at it though

ok, to clear it up,... it is the bit of skin between the helmet and the shaft... when it snapped i had a cringing pain, but it went away... so i thrusted and thought "f**k ME" pulled out and was covered in blood... she wasen't even dry, so dunno how that happened but now, it kinda healed so by skin pulls one hell of a long way back... i just feel glad i won't ever go through that pain again ALL OF YOU HAVE THE POSSIBILITY GUTTED !!!!!!!! now just funny how far back it goes

ha i had exactly the same problem as you, thought she might be preggas, wasn't.... then i got a wierd lump, get it checked out and it nothing bad.. but feels so sureal getting an sti check and then i snapped my banjo string, blood everywhere, not funny at all can't be bothered to type propperly, so everything in short

thought i would revive this bad boy thread, because i am a vw owner too proud owner of a 1998 mk4 polo, full length webasto, black etc.. will try put pics here tomorrow, and the mods i have done so far

sorry but, just because you can mig doesn't mean you will pick tig up easy, i do welding/fabrication as my job and tig is so so so much harder, mig is purely squeeze a trigger and aim, tig you have to heat the metal to get a surficient weld pool and manually insert filler rod and continue along.... its taken me 2 years to get to a decent level of tig welding on ms, ss and alu... not easy as for mig welding, avoid gas-less, the wire is coated in a flux to stop oxidation and it doesn't dio its job, you will get hairline cracks, oxidation and it will look shit ad be strong as glue.. if need be buy a gas/gas-less and run it off the argon co2 mix but, i would search the free-ads and ebay looking for a quality 2nd hand one, it will be worth it in the long run if you need help with anything else, feel free to ask another option is to consider a arc welder, it would be ok for what you want it for so long as you get the practice in, and the smallest welders out of anything... just gotta arc it up everytime gaz...

right, finally got on here... he's out hospital and in a state of recovery at home, the wounds have heal'd but mentally still getting over it seeing him again soon, so will make a point of getting him to post up here some time (not his priority) just gotta be bloody thankful it wasn't another "R.I.P" thread,

when it happened they were out in a friend 106 rallye caneing it down a country lane, slid out on some gravel and hit a fence post sam took the brunt of it, and is extremely lucking to have not died straight away, he's in a really bad way though only reason i wasn't in the car was left my phone in the class room

As some of you may have noticed Sam has not been on here or msn lately (member1492) and its under some really bad circumstances, he's my best mate, and only just now come roound to what it really means, 2 weeks ago to today he was involved in a car crash whilst out with friends, and as they walked away unscratched he came off rather worse and is in a coma and has been since currently on life support and not looking hopefully, all i ask is that you don't offer condonlenses to close friends and family as alots going on and they don't want it... just drop a little pray for him

like i said, it is what i think... and it prob is alot of bollox, but it is how i see it and i am not going to read in to it, i see it how i see it but simially not going to go round beating the shit out of arrabs with beards, although may just be instind or what but i always find myself to be alittle nervous around bearded arrabs of on the bus or trian etc. but, again i am a narrow minded person on big issues :$

personally.... i feel that terriorium is only being done by bearded arrabs, that may well be a mindless common misconseption but that is what i see... its all done by arrabs who believe in killing innicent people they will get there pathway to heaven, what a truely f**ked up religion.. i haven't looked into it, and not going to... i may only be young but i am already set inmy way, and one of the ways is the views that my family share which is passed down from my grandad (racisium toward arrabs) and i beileve it is so strong because they feel the need to kill people, and then they complain about how they are persecuted ????? simple answer, sent an arrabs with beards home prob going to piss someone off with what i said, but thats life
