  1. Good work, but is there enough room for the disc bolts to fit?
  2. Mechanically thats wrong, although you may prefer it. If you have 48 engagements in a front freewheel there are 48 engagements as you make a full rotation with the cranks If the same freewheel is on the rear and you run 18:12 gearing then you have (18/12 multiplied by 48) 72 engagements as your cranks make a full turn. What I'm trying to say is a freewheel at the rear has more engagements than if its was placed at the front, so it is actually less "responsive" on the front.
  3. I was wandering around youtube and came across these idiots, how does one go about reporting such tw@ts? Theres other videos of illegal activity on his playlists you can clearly see the ignition barrel hanging off! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbx2xbFfa78
  4. Parking at the sun centre car park (middle of the map) should be absolutely free. Last time I was there a note on the pay and display machine said not in use till march.
  5. bikedock or merlin cycles edit are both out of stock
  6. Kris holm unicycle rim edit-can only find them in 36 hole sorry.
  7. irc mibro, folding tyre and pretty light for a 2.1 but quite resistant to punctures
  8. Isn't the brake lever the master cylinder and both pistons at the wheel end slaves? Nifty idea, does it give a better bleed because there are fewer twists and turns for air to get trapped in ?
  9. Well get a corsa and be like everyone else then
  10. Ford Ka! +Great mpg on motorways, fun handling, piece of piddle to park,, i've easily got a mod a stock and two people inside, mush easier and cheaper to find parts for than a french car... -Pre 2oo1 models need a bit of pushing to get any speed out of them having only 59 bhp, newer zetec models have an extra 10ish bhp and are a bit better With pass plus my insurance (aged 18+0 no claims) is just over £1000 tpft, easily less than anything else in your list.
  11. Very nice looking bikes. Why do you need two stocks though?
  12. Ive had similiair wheels on an XC bike. They were quite weak and a real hastle to true.
  13. The seals are rubber. Moving across the metal of the lever body will wear them out eventually, oil will slow this process much more than water. After all you dont water your chain to keep it running smooth and lasting longer do you, you oil it.
  14. The hub does loosen off a little during the first month or so and this will cause more skipping than anything else as there is not enough pressure on the mechanism. tighten the bearing pre load adjusters and it should sort it.
  15. Ive found them to be very sluggish and leaky. Either stick with the ordinary plastic hosing or get the hope/magura braided hosing which is more expensive but is well worth it .
  16. Personally I would remove the freewheel from the cranks first as the thread on the aluminium cranks may deform a little considering how much heat it will take to weld the steel lockring in place, which could make future removal of the freewheel problematic.
  17. somewhere round the back of llanberis?
  18. What about a suzuki swift? cheap to insure and pretty nippy.
  19. erm... This item was filmed for the last series (october ish)-due to be aired last year before the crash happened. I seriously doubt they are doing it again just for you. I'm pleased to hear you have some certificates though.
  20. After most of deng's products this has to be the nastiest thing I have ever seen. Isn't it just an expensive verion of the "spoon" style tensioner ? It looks like it has a fair range of adjustment I suppose but then again so does a spoon...
  21. If your frame only has vee brake mounts you will struggle as you have to drill/file away at the booster and use different bolts. Its do-able but it would be far easier to buy a decent v brake booster and use that and the standard magura one together. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=8215 is pretty good.
  22. I think the best idea would be to buy a blue hub shell and use a driver from a red. This should get you the best of both worlds. Let us know how you get on as I'm thinking of buying a profile soon, and am worried about possible problems they might have. Hope this helps.
  23. Good stuff. Does the carbon top tube make any difference to the way that frame feels when you ride?
