  1. Incorrect FOOL! , the only difference between a professional and an amatuer is pay. if you get payed for it your a pro, if not, even if your sponsered, you are an amatuer. Just like any other sport.
  2. Nope, saw no one!! must say mate. fred showed me the gap you pedalled near london bridge O M F G!!!!!! it was just shy of 11ft........... you sick sick man...
  3. a couple of little tarty pics from london today, where the fook everyone was i dont know, theres was only bloody 4 of us!!!!! We had a good day though some nice moves pulled including Mr.Freds gap up to front wheel swap on the blocks and his wicked linking of street moves round the sheel center.one word. smoooooooooth!! I also had a good day after a year off the bike, managed a 42" sidehop to wheels and a big fat scary gap at the shell center...... still reckon i suck though at the mo ... anyway. enjoy;
  4. Erm.... well i've been using the hot S tyres for a while now and they grip great imo, id get a black one but they only come in 2.2 ....... saying this however, you will all be happy to know that i now have a Maxxis high roller 2.5 super tacky, rode it in london today at silly low pressure (20psi ish) rammed it into everything and not a hint of a pinch flat and they are sooooo soft, really hooks up well so im now officialy a fan of the Maxxis

Def dont want a hot s on the front, will be to OTT for my taste As for the bike, its 1080 long version with Pure forks and 110mm X 10* stem n Pazzaz bars. rides like a beauty, had to mess around with getting the front end righgt but now its lush. love it. Get one, there ace! really well built too IMO.
  9. Right, OK, so yes i admit it, im am a bike tart/pervert I just want my bike to look its best (although it obviously gtes ridden hard ) So my question is this; would my bike look better with a black rear tyre? i say yes, my mate says no. I fancy trying a maxxis high roller anyway but valuing you guys opinions as i do wanted to ask

  12. right, i have an echo control long version and am putting a stem on it. ordered a thomson which is 100mm with 10* rise , put it on today and it just doesn't feel right. too short, so obviously ill be going for 110mm when i change it tomorrow, reckon i should get a 20* rise as well?? Whats everyone else running on theres?? have you managed to get use to it after a bit or what? The Echo control stem's from tarty bike are 5* rise and come in 90, 100 and 110mm. confusion ps- im 5'11' Thanks in advance.

  14. Looking like might be a good turn out chaps! excellent. ill be there with my shiny new bike, it may be a case of ''all the gear, no idea'' though, as i haven't ridden for about 8mnths PS- any one taking a video camera???
  15. Im live 25 mins from dover and will be taking daddys 05 Mercedes E320 cdi estate with sat nav , a tow bar and trailer with room for 5 bikes , 5 people and all luggage so if anyones struggling, think i have a spare place or maybe 2. cool to stay at mine the night before too, as long as u dont mind coming out and get spannered with the boys!!!!!
  16. Weather permitting, myself aand a few chaps from kent might be poping along for a blast. what time and place ? bout 11 at the shell center as usual??
  17. I'd say get some Avid V's, no silly parallel push mechanisms to work loose. say some 5.0's or 7.0's but not avid levers cos the pivots come lose and get loads of play in the lever blade. i like XTR levers but there pricy. maybe some XT ones to save a few pennies. As for pads, i run spanish fly pads with a heavy grind on the fornt and the stopping power is simply insane. For a booster, try gettin an XTR carbon one, there awesome or have a look at somewhere like ; www.bikedock.com or www.supercycles.co.uk , the RB design v boosters are pretty sweet. hope this helps.
  18. what shall we say, by the toilets on seafront at 11ish??? to ride trials, not for gay man sex obviously ill PM you my number. if it rains, im not riding!!!
  19. Ahhhhhh fredrico....... Herne bay is fine by me, just built up my new Echo control today so lookin to give it a blast. Also, have you got the dude's number who had that booster in ahsford i tried to fit ? i wanna buy it now cos of the new frame !! who else is up for it????

  21. Right im proposing this Sunday at about 11 in Ramsgate on the seafront cos it means i can have a lie in and still be there in 5mins. Who's in?? if this sounds not too hot. propose something else!!!
  22. In a predicament here. just got a nice shiny new Echo control (long), with echo urban forks and dont wanna run my Brisa bar and stem so ive ordered a nice new 100mm thompson stem (31.8mm oversize clamp) and want some lovely new bars to match but not to sure what to go for?! Im pretty broad sholdered and used to have a set of try-alls that i loved the feel off. nice and flat and wide. so with this is mind, what should i spend my dough on? moneys not too much of a worry so im looking at the onza 30" carbons, try-all oversize flats and the zoo bars. Any help/advice much appreciated. Thanks all.
  23. Ashford good is it?! Not sure i belive you , anyways. if my head doesn't hurt too much i might join you unless theres one going on closer . PS- sent you a PM with my number. Cheers. Tommo
  24. This may make you change your mind about taking your bikes - the Trials arena will consist of.............................. wait for it............ The Bike show setup!!! , So all those fat logs, pipes, sleepers etc that the pros get to play on, you guys get to play on. sure they'll be additional stuff like ramps n bits n bobs but how good will that be!!!!!! Not as fun as the buses by the sounds of things though eh?!
