  3. Thanks all for the advice!! Had a bit of a touch yesterday and i dont need to make the choice now!! , just bought a Brisa B26D with great parts -king rear hub n headset, Brisa bar n stem, RB lever, Plaz pads on rear. front XTR v +lever, spanish fly pads. Middleburns etc etc... top spec. cost me £550! Its immacultae and came with every recipt and manual! so now i have a king so no need for a front freewheel which seems like the best way anyway
  4. Right, personally i love Kings but there jus so damned expensive.! What sort of engagement can i expect from a top quality front freewheel? considering that a king is 72 or something. ? Also any info on prices and makes to look for.? Oh and if anyone can recommened some good standard diameter Carbon fibre flat bars that would be handy (something similar in width, rise etc to Koxx try-alls) Thanks all. Tommo.
  5. Just rebleed with water with a little touch of anti-freeze Folkstone is it???? we'll ill try my best to make an apperance then!! although i have my company works do tonight so may be a bit sore , and i also reckon it'll be windy as fook!! but anyways. Im in. where's everyone meeting and what time? Cheers. Tomm. Ps- Fred, you gotta stop recking frames wit yo big ass!!!! And leeson's really shouldn't be breaking, there bloody steel!!
  6. IN terms of freshness, Jack Barnes has some crazy stuff i've never seen anyone do, you lot prob haven't heard of him but you will! oh you will. I'd pitch him against anyone for riding street, anyone. and so many of his moves are fresh, like manual to 180 up wall straight into front wheel backwards roll to end of wall and 180 off the end. Only holdback is his personality, he can be a bit of an arse so that perhaps rights him off for full-blown 'trials personality of the year' as such .Once the sites are up and running ill post some vids on here: www.mrsuave.co.uk www.mbedge.co.uk (dont bother yet, nothing to see, but will be soon!)
  7. OH come on people!!! dont tell you not gonna be riding this weekend cos ..''its cold''.. or something lame. I got a new bike. im dying to give it a pounding. now come on, play along................

  9. errrr........Nope, best tyre i've used by miles. and ive had a fair few. every IRC, some maxxis, Schwable, Tioga's, Echo etc and it far exceeds any of those. wouldn't swap it. However, i am liking the sound of these new Maxxis jobbies. anyone have one?? i dont have a clue what there called

  11. King DO NOT make a titanium freehub body for there hubs, they do make a steel one though its not as light as the ali ones but theres less problems with teeth cutting into the freehub body if your using individual cogs. They do make a spangly Ti cassette lock ring though. mmmmmm... Check it and droooooool; http://www.bromleybike.co.uk/ishop/399/shopscr1633.html i f**kin love chris king!!!
  12. thompson all day long. had a 100mm version on my echo with try-all bars and was absolutely spot on. i could have sworn they do them in 10 deg rise though?? prob wrong . i'd go for a 5 deg if not, however, depending on what frame you have check what dimension stem they come with as a full bike and stick close to this unless you unusually large or small.

    Magura 04

Is it just the lever you want? if so i can possibly help, will have to check my spares box!! if not i'd say either ebay or give some one like bromely bike co a ring, know they stock alot of magggie spares so may be able to help you out.
  14. The compo 24's are good but the 2.5 hot s is better! it just grips soooo much also only ever got 1 pinch on it runnin standard thickness tube, and they come with kevlar bead so loads lighter. i also run mine on a megamo rim at around 20psi and it has never ever come off. as long as you can handle the red colour , As for gears, go for a shimano roadie HG jobbie and see above, taking it apart and moving your prefered cog over with spacers and removing a couple of cogs is ideal.
  15. For what its worth, i belive the motorway limits should be increased to at least 80mph, weve had a 70mph limit for over 30yrs, cars have progressed so much, so should the limits we abide by. Note i said the motorway limit, 30mph in and around towns is ample and i personnaly try not to speed in these areas, however on the motorway i feel quite comfortable doing 90-100mph. Also, motorway speed limits should be time variable. ie. increased by 10mph between 10pm-5am. In The USA, if your caught speeding in roadworks and there working you get a hefty fine, however if its out of working hours, they are far more leniant, a good idea me thinks. Just my little input.
  16. if u want to be the daddy, this is the one!!!!! bet no one else wears one of these. (the 'buddy' model!!) http://www.wiggle.co.uk/Default.aspx?Main=...anufacturer=Met

  18. When i stopped riding about a year ago, there was a mag calle BTM, or bike trials magazine. does it exist anymore or did it die?? if it does, where can i get hold of a copy/subscibe? when i stopped it wasn't that great but was improving with every issue. by now it should be pretty good! Any idea guys? Cheers.
  19. Hey all, i've been out of the trials scene for almost a year now so am a bit out of touch. just about to dive back in and get a new bike. been offered a Brisa B26d with awesome spec including king rear hub n h/s, middelburs, Rb lever, Michelins,Megamo rims XTR and Hs33, plaz pads, the lot. I know they guy and he was never a hard rider and its almost immaculate. He wants £550. seems like a good deal to me. However, have frames really progressed that much? should i really be looking at getting a zoo or Koxx etc as apposed to thi B26D??? Any opinions much appreciated.
  20. Old megamo rims rock, grind em up and run spanish fly pads, get a booster if your frame flex's cos this will loose valubale clamping strength and use mineral oil in your lines. dont buy magura blood though. its a rip off. get down to halfords and pick up some citroen suspension fluid. they run mineral oil and 2litres is about £2.49 (Y)
  21. OY! u never mentioned the fit house mates!!!! They work in bar ba's with u? if so, im comin over Canterbury sat night :D :D"

  24. Alright alright, look i admit it. i'm not to hot on the old PC (u might have noticed!? :"> ) But is there really a need to make sarcastic comments, do they help anyone?- at least the photo of the fittest girl is in the frame! :D
