helloooooo one and all. Im proposing a big fat blast around Margate on saturday in preparation for all us uber cool dudes who are going to koxx days (well actually we need the practice :$ ). But instead of the usual, benchs and walls on the main seafront. i say we ride the undercliffs that run between margate harbour and palm bay. theres bloody loads of stuff that i bet half u lot havent ridden its paradise too cos there is no one around, theres rocks, walls, ups, gaps, sections, street stuff, dumped cars - everthing u could want.!! come and you wont be dissapointed, better than the same old same old Meet at Margate harbour @ 11 o clock. my first king did this and theres a very simple fix which was shown to me by the top mechanic at evolution imports/brompley bike co who are the UK importor for king stuff. basically you need to overtighten the cone on the non drive side a touch so that when it is all back together the bearings bind slightly then once ridden, the bearings become free spinning and the cone doesn't come loose. no need for loctite or such. this is taken from the king website, i draw your attention to item 4 : Rear hub adjustment The following instructions assume that the drive shell is facing to the right: 1. Insert 5 mm hex wrenches into both ends of the axle assembly. 2. Hold left hand stationary and turn right hand counterclockwise 1/4 turn until the assembly is loose. 3. Hold hex wrenches stationary and adjust bearing preload with the adjusting cone. You may use the hub cone adjusting tool if necessary. 4. Advance adjusting cone until it contacts bearing. The rear hub takes a slightly higher amount of preload than “no play”, since some settling may occur while riding.5. Once preload is set, tighten axle assembly together to 100 inch-pounds. 6. Check adjustment by clamping wheel into frame with quick-release. Ride for 5-10 minutes, check for play or binding, and readjust as necessary. Double 9 check adjustment after the first 5-10 miles of riding. hope this helps. Tommo.

if your friend had no prob's, i dont see why you should. Try overtightening the headset until its slightly stiff then ride, it will loosen off so it spins freely but it doesn't rock. If this doesn't help i would suggest either: a) try a headlock in it as apposed to a star fangled nut, b)let a shop have a look at it (not halfords!) , or c) clamping up your stem to steerer bolts more and even threadlocking them if they get loose. Does your Zoo have a CNC'd headtube? if so, theres no way its flared. hope this helps Tommo.

i think you shud maybe try BMX as your obviously not too good at this trials lark In all seriousness, that level of riding is truly stunning, the technical ability required to ride most of those lines is immense. Much rather see that than 12ft drops and 60"sidehops everytime. Tip Top Tommo.

Helloooo one and all, I am going to Koxx days. I am leaving Friday morning and returning Sunday evening from/to dover. I am Driving a nice new reliable fast estate car with Sat Nav. I am getting the ferry. I am camping. I AM GOING ALONE RUBBISH!!!!!! Some one from kent (or anywhere else for that matter) must wanna come with me surely? dont tell me you'd rather ride the minky streets of folkstone as apposed to the trials haven that is buthiers?! I really really really dont wanna go all the way on my own, so if you wanna come, just pay for the camping online (and the comp if u wanna do it) give me £20 toward the ferry (less if more come with ) and ill cover the petrol by putting it through the company. See? how good is that, you get driven there and back and get to ride buthiers for 3days for less than £50. bargain. There must be someone from kent going? or will i be the only southerner in attendance?! I Run 22:19 and have done for 6yrs, i find its spot on. I run a middleburn upfront and a chris king cog rear. there avaliable in 19T here: Bromley Bike Co. Im running 170mm RS7's too. its all personal preferance at the end of the day but you should take your crank length into account. shorter cranks=bigger rear cog maybe. hope this helps.

He was THE original DHer. A total legend and a lovely guy. he died in a motorcross accident i belive. He rode for specialized and absolutely f**kin rocked. AH yes the quality,........... i do appologise, this is due to filming it with a still camera that has a video function that is utter pish. you will be happy to know that i have just ordered a new digital video camera off ebay and all future vids will be shot with that And you have contradicted yourself there young sir, you said there amusing but pointless. if they amused you, then well....er...... thats the point!
