  1. Reminds me of Prawn's 'tis nice sir
  2. Yeah, and then seeing Prawny climb a lampost to get his helmet back! Good stuff!
  3. Haha, don't worry Dave I'll be about So who's actually there? So far I count; Me, Alex (alext), Tyler (Xx-OnZa-xX), Dave (2sixstreet), Eskimo, Tim H (and friends, perhaps?) Darren's a hermaphrodite so isn't coming, Alex (not miniman) can't make it if I remember correctly. Anybody else? We still headed for 11 at TM? So far to go dammit! You know Lloyds would make far more sense...
  4. Snappel Pretty easy if you do the maths, provided you have a brain cell and some common sense. Due to the above factors, I can't see 75% of the forum understanding it...
  5. Luke can now tap However, Luke also now has extremely painful hands from riding so much, so hard, for so long yesterday, so may not ride again before the weekend Ah well, will just have to re-learn them again! Can't wait! Forecast as of now - Sunny Intervals - let's hope it's dry!!
  6. It's because people are seeing sense again. Vids are finally getting it back to 'riding'
  7. Ashton ET. (ok, maybe a few bunnyhops on something cheap before, no idea what it was...)
  8. 11 sounds good, will try and get out of bed since it's you guys...
  9. The ride isn't a big one really, mroe a chance for me and the guys from home to have a session, catch up etc really. None of us are amazing riders (no offence guys, you know what I mean) but all like to have a play and a laugh. Everyone's welcome to ride with us of course, and I'm sure we can all head over to check out the demo at some point (If I can work out where it is... Still don't really know my way around too well yet really!)
  10. Speechwriters LLC Thomas Cunningham John Mayer (a little) Carbon Leaf and a few others
  11. Or, wait a minute, Ashton ET/most Leesons/Curtis etc, ass
  12. Hi Si, The Ashton ET is a great bike to ride (I have one myself) and I would seriously recommend it, or something similar. The only problem is that a lot of them seemed to have strength issues, and many snapped. Mine is showing no sins of breaking after a year of riding, but I'm not a great rider so it hasn't been subjected to anything big yet! By all means look into it, if you can get it for £250, but perhaps you'd be betterr looking in the For Sale/Wanted section of the forum to see if you can pick up something else (maybe o T-Rex or similar, which will stand up to a LOT of abuse!) The Trailstar would be fine for a mess about bike for street/dirt, but isn't really suited to trials in that the geometry is all out really. You should be looking at something with a little lower top tube (for clearance), a slightly higher bottom bracket (clearance again, but this time from rocks/walls as opposed to yourself) and a few different angles here and there. You're best off looking at both For Sale/Wanted, and online shops such as Tartybikes (www.tartybikes.co.uk) to get an impression of what's about, and what might be better souted to your needs Ebay often has stuff popping up from time to time, so keep an eye out. If you see anything there, stick a post up here, or ask a friend in the know to take a look and see if it's worth going for. Often though there are bikes advertised to be something they're not, or that are made out to be much better than they are, so be wary! The new PHASE bikes do look rather handy for someone in your sort of situation, although I can't say I've had a proper look at them myself. If I remember correctly, they start from £300 with a decent spec, and go up from there, price increasing with spec, obviously. They are, however, from MAD, and not Saracen... Building up a bike from scratch is very satisfying, and will allow you to get the spec you want, and focus on certain areas you want to concentrate on, however it will nearly always be a fair chunk more expensive than buying a fully built, ready-to-ride rig. By all means spend some time looking around, but for £300 it's not really going to work. (Consider Maguras being £100 or so new, most frames being £200+ etc... Obviously second hand would be cheaper, but you're still not going to get a great bike from a very low budget, unless you were to do it over a prolonged period of time) Anyway, just a quick bit of info for you, but got a little longer than I thought it would! Hope you manage to get something sorted out, and well done for coming back to trials!
  13. 22:16 at the minute, little higher for faster stuff, and to compensate for shocking technique!
  14. Do Saturday if you can, there's a couple of guys up from Plymouth, as well as myself and maybe a few others
  15. I'm assuming you'll come by train yeah? If so, what time do you get in? I could probably just meet you at the station and we'll go from there. Would seem to be the easiest way... Good.
  16. Philosophy... What's this actually about though Pete? You leaving the girlfriend because you're moving, or just the way sex affects your mind?
  17. Not too sure, as I thought that when I first saw them, but I think it may be due to the shape of the magura slave cylinders (or whatever you'd call the complete bit (silver bit in the bottom pic there, J shaped as we look at that pic)) would be pushed up against the part with the bolts through, so wouldn't make any difference (ok, this is getting nowhere - pic on the way) edit: maybe something along these lines?
  18. Loving the whole word styling dude, sexual! Fair enough, have heard a fair few people who've said that the standard control area's a bit messed up.
