  1. Biggy's right Pete, This is how some people get away with running a rear calliper up front with a larger disc. Ie running a 180mm disc on a 160mm rear calliper
  2. Yeah was asking if the time/place was ok for people, but is cool to know riding level too. I'm shocking, so you have nothing to worry about mate! Sorry to hear about the steel accident, hope you can make it out. Would be good to get some photos too if you do bring a camera.
  3. Hows about Lloyds around 7ish again? Any good
  4. Then why doesn't he grow a sturdy hedge/matresses, rather than concreteness! Or would you have otherwise been in his living room?
  5. Yeah I realise that, but just a rough guide as to how many people are basically lying in a [hospital/home] bed 'living to die' Would just give the essay a slight kick
  6. Erm... Do you have special "turn a quick CAD sketch into the real thing" glasses?! 5mm or so should do the job probably, but it's your call
  7. Not too sure on the rake of the Urbans, although I would imagine it would be in the region of 45mm or so, like most other forks out there. As for the chainstay strengthening, a tube would be good if it will fit, but a plate or something should be fine/just as good really. Iolo uses them if I remember correctly, and I don't think there has been a problem with that approach. Other than possibly just shortening the head tube a touch (although not necessary) I think that's coming on nicely for what you are aiming for
  8. Ok, on a slightly related subject (in that it would help with my essay!) Can anybody find out how many terminally ill people there are in the UK? can't seem to bring up much on Google
  9. Actually I have noticed a bit more effort and sense being put into Pete's posts, and think it's good to see. Some of his posts are now pretty useful/informative, although there are still a few that could do with a little work...
  10. Looks good mate, other than the stem... If it works, roll with it!
  11. It's a Revell stickered up as a DMR Edit: and this is clearly cheeky as f**k "aljsk8", and you know it! Deserves to be stopped, but at least it's a little more discrete I suppose...
  12. 360kb/s, stop complaining... Awesome stuff
  13. Woohoo! Alex we have to play on more random stuff again, still can't believe how good that seat was! Mat, is there any other time you could ride? Early next week or the weekend after this perhaps?
  14. The mounts are 24" specific, although I don't know about the difference in fork length. The Ashton 24" was designed around a stock fork, as are a few others. If Onza designed the Zoot around that fork there is a chance that it may be a little shorter perhaps. Mind you, my Ashton forks come in at 391mm Dropout to Crown, so I doubt there will be much difference EDIT: Looking at the pics on Tarty, the forks don't seem any shorter than mine, if anything I'd say they were edging on longer!
  15. First up, this is a trials forum, and although Tyler didn't specify in this thread, I think another said he was getting a Zoot. Suspension, and most of your post therefore, are ruled straight out. Tyler, I run the old Ashton forks with the 24" mounts on (alloy) with no real problems, however I think you will have some difficulty finding a set of these. If you can, go for it. I love them! Althernatively, you could run a disc like people have said, in which case you can run any old 26" forks, or if you want to run a maggie you will probably need to get the mounts moved on a set of forks. Pashleys are a popular choice. The Zoot does come with Onza Fly Guys, with 24" mounts, so you shouldn't need to worry about changing forks for a while really. Rimwise, most go for DX32s, Tiogas* or Rhyno Lites really, so look into these, although as Ali said, the Spanks seem rather nice... *The ones I'm running, if you remember When are you going to be getting it sorted mate? Luke
  16. Which shop in Bristol do you work at? At uni there and don't think we've met
  17. Unsure about Sweden, although the Netherlands legalised it in 2002, and it seems to be ok over there. The problem with it is the whole decision bit. Is the person able to decide for themselves? If not, who can make the best decision (is there a BEST solution?) comes into play, and then it gets into quality of life etc. Thought I'd get the TF concensus on it before finalising my essay
  18. Hey guys, Getting a little deep with stuff really I guess, but does anybody have any views either for or against legal euthanasia? Have to do an essay on it (for a MATHS degree...!) and would be handy to have a general feel from a few different viewpoints. So, Euthanasia... Discuss:
  19. Had the old Echo Pure, then went to an '07 Pitbull, didn't get on with it all that well, so switched to the Zenith, now looking for (read: found, I think...) another old Pure I believe, although you'd have to get it from the man himself, not that he was giving much away in his post up there ^^
  20. Ok, since nobody else has posted up, I'm going to put a day, and unless people stick up any objections then that's when it'll be mother funkers... FRIDAY 10th NOVEMBER Right, sorted.
  21. Loved it! Much better than the 'usual' sidehop-tap-dropgap vids that are about so often
  22. Do it, just don't enter any SW comps... hehe
