A supressor is a Device that filters out unwanted noise. In this case engine noise. They used to be fitted to old car ignition systems to prevent the interference with the radio signal. Earthing the Ipod wont really help, as it needs to stay monile for when I ride/walk. The cigar lighter is already earthed, but I may try another earth the runs directly to chasiss if nothing comes up

The reason ive stuck with trials for 7 long years is that it was soo open minded and the people in it where really cool. You used to be able to get on any bike and ride, wearing what you want and that would be it. Now its getting petty and people are ridiculing others for the style they ride, the bike they are on and the clothes they wear. Who remembers a couple years back, th e whole UCI, BUI style arguments. Shut the f**k up and ride. Thats all it should be about. Stop commanding everyone else about who want to just get on with their own thing. The whole individuality of trials is going because everyone is copying what someone else says and does. so not about that. If someone want to throw their toys out the pram because they dont like what somone else is doing, f**k 'em off and ride, your own way.

Best bet. Strip the old paint off with Nitromors and a wire brush. Take your time and get it all off. Then use a decnt cleaner, not white spirit ect as it leaves a film on the metal. I recamend Brake Cleaner or Carborettor cleaner. (this is important as when I used white spirit on a set of forks that were powdercoated they had to do it twice because of the coating it left) Then Look in your local yellow pages for a Chrome dippers and take it there. When ive had my forks Powdercoated in the past it only cost £10 from a company out the pages. Failing to find a chrome works, you could try polishing them, but will take a long time to get right.

The line up this year looks shit. Alexisonfire were the only good band on the bill. Last year was soo much better. Besides, I think that wearing a bands shirt to their gig isnt coshier. Makes you look like a try hard groupie, or that you just bought it and want to look like everyone else who just has. I have my Ipod Rigged up to my Car stereo with one of those red and white into earphone type cables. And Ive just bought a cheap Ipod car charger. Only problem is that the charger interfers with the stereo, so I get static and engine electonice interference. What I need is to build a supressor for the charger. Whos up for the task?/

Sorry but if thats suposed to be a serrious exhaust design, its the worst thing I have ever seen. For a start the is no flow potential in the Manifold, and a system that will create no back pressure, thus loosing power, and just being unnesassaraly noisy. Most people have no idea how much exhuat design and construction affects engine power, toqure and rev limit. You need a correctly sized set of equal primarys (dependand on engine aplication) flowing into 2 well designed collectors, next comes equal sized secondaries into a final collector. Then its a well picked size of exhaut diameter with the correct amount of silencers to create a good ratio of back pressure and flow. simply sticking a Big bore back box will 9 times out of 10 loose you power. You will gain 70% of an exhausts power potential from the right maniofld alone.

Is it a turbo?? Sound me like one of the Manifold - Downpipe studs has broken. This will not be an easy on the drive repair for a sunday mechanic. Specialy if it has snapped off flush. What year is the car? Chances are it wont have a CAT. The reason they say its time consuming and costly is because they will need to remove the manifold and drill out the old stud (hardened steel, not easy) then repair the threads and stick a new one in. And thats the easy bit, getting the manifold off a front wheel drive car isnt easy, let alone on a french car. Worst Case senario, the remaining 2 studs sheer, the downpipe drops and drags on the floor, making it suseptable to snagging, beind and causing damage to other components. Chances are it will drop and drag, your car will be unbareabley loud and have lots of sparks flying out from underneath. You also need to consider if it has dmaged the manifold that will need replacing, which wont be a cheap purchase. If you have to have the car road worthy asap then you have no choise but to bear the brunt and pay for someone to fix it. If you can miss the car for a while then you can get a firend who knows what hes doing to have a look and get it sorted whilst buying your own parts, but this takes time, which depends alot on who does it. Unfortunatly I cant give a 100% diagnosis without seeing the vechicle.
