ok. i have got. NTL broadband modem going to netgear wireless router. my desktop is running directly from the router, via cable. sister has dell inspiron 1300 laptop and mothers desktop has a MSI wierless card. seems to be connecting to the netwrk, says its all connected and ready, got data being recived and sent but will not connect to internet.

right, cheers lego, that got me connected. But now its really slow, only conected at 24Mbps (sisters laptop connects at 56, and seems almost as fast on conection as my desktop) and doesnt want to load any pages. Also windows update seems to have stopped at 28% and wont go further. what sort of speed should i expect, home broadband is 4mb (last time i checked).

right, got a wireless card for my mothers computer. Got it instaled ok, with all the latest drivers ect. everything seems to work fine, it can find our home network, with excellent signal sterngth ect. but when you try and connect, it just sits on aquiring network address, doesnt go any further. tried all the network and wireless wizards on windows and its just the same. what do i need to do to get this computer online?? (i know it works fine online, its my old comp)

Ive been running Viz carbon bars for a couple years now. They seem strong enough. Even split the weave, and bent the alu insert in the left end of the bar the 1st week I got them. Still running. My only complaint is that they are too thin (end to end)

good idea with one downfall. whats to stop someone saying they have what someone wants, reciving money then not sending anything. There will allways be pricks out there ready to find a new scam. yes you are fully entitled to take your car back and demand that they fix the problem you paid them to fix. If they get shirty, tell them you will get trading standrds involved. and if they dont do it then, get trading standards involed. As for the fault, that points towards turbo oil seal failure. Having the engine rebuilt for that is a pointless exersice

Right: The windscreen will NOT shatter or smash. It is laminated glass, so it will crack lots, but ti will all stay in place, unless you hit you fold the glass in and the whole lot will fall through. Every otehr glass pannel on the car WILL shatter, and easily. Remove them, otherwise youll have a lot of glass to clean up, and the possibility of serrious injury. The main point of the car you will be riding, the roof, will need some sort of suport. Either an Acro, or some wood suports inside th car will help alot. Could even remove the seats and pile crates in. Otherwise you will find 1/2 way through your demo the roof will sink, alot. Make sure all the fuel is drained out of the car, and if need be, remove the fuel tank. You will get alot of hastle from H&S if you dont. Also its the smart option. if you have the time/resources it might be worth covering all the empty window apatures with sheet metal, just crudly rivited on will be fine. Or at least some wood. Failing that, make sure there is something inside the car to fall on, you dont want someone stacking and falling into an empty car, thats bad

You guys seem to be way to quick of the mark to Blame Giles. Its not like he has specificly asked everyone to f**k off and let him take control. I know from the many years of Bikeshow visits that Martyn and Martin run and excellent show, the 2000 speed trials, the numerous trials courses that make the riders in the crowd want to run home, grab their bike and wrestle the securtiy to ride. But seeing as Haymarket ballsed everything up and dropped the show things are going to change. The guys at NASS run a damn good event, and put in alot of time and effort. Also they have been working with giles for many years, so naturaly would choose him for such an event. Sure funds will be tight when organising events of this caliber, and from a company as small as NASS they dont want to waste too much on this event, and end up having to budget for the somerset weekend, cos we all know alot of people will just moan about that. Yes its a massive shame that the event wont be run by the Marty/ins, no matter who runs the trials arena is going to do the best with the money, supplies and time they are given. Hell ill bet if it was organised by Ot Pi and Hans Rey people would still complain if they were given massive bidget and time constraints. Yes its not perfect, but its trials on a grand scale. Be thankfull its there at all, they could have easily scrapped it to save more money
