  1. Hmmm, Adam and Stan going to a comp meeting. I think you guys have an idea!
  2. Hmmm, through axles on the forks yes but trials riding has a major factor which is angles and measurements. We are completely anal about every single degree or mm. If you ran a through-axle on the rear there's really only 2 ways of tensioning the chain. A tensioner which adds weight or something like a eccentric bottom bracket which can essentially raise, lower or even move the BB further back. Essentially this also adds more weight as you have to have a shell in shell. Trials is a fickle thing! The oldest methods seem to be the easiest and reliable. I've seen some mental designs, angles and massive BB heights and trials always comes full circle! Take for example Fontenoys elephant bike or the Vinco. Crazy bikes! Then everything goes tame and low then boom...back up to +100 again and hydro formed to oblivion! The markets always kept so fresh this way! Sorry it's a rant....just finished nightshift and I've a terrible case of exhaustion mouth!
  3. Only toilet paper pee and poo....go down the loo!! Don't need baby wipes if you get a good splash back!! Refreshing too!
  4. Vasek and flipp should get together and have a baby....imagine that prodigy! Not that I'm whoring you both out...BUT IMAGINE!!!!
  5. Proper proffesional answer that one! At least with whatever happed you're still beasting stuff. Fair play!
  6. Make that bloody whats his name a moderator....someone Wright...remember him. He was like a god amongst us mortals!
  7. Its on my doorstep so i'd go if I wasnt at work. Might be worth speaking to Brett and Drummond about it. Took alot of work.
  8. Good riding, really enjoyed it. I really am worried when I see riders this good either wearing their baby brothers shorts or their mum's underwear!
  9. I think theres an advantage and disadvantage running a front rim brake. A rim brake is inherantly powerful but you'll get lazy with regards to technique. With a disc you'll find that big stuff your technique needs to be bloody perfect and so does your front wheel placement with regards to trying to catch more corner/edge of obstacle. My 2 cents (I await my first "you are wrong" lol)
  10. Yeah double maggy with ADM pads on both ends. The fluid in the brakes must be thinner because the lever return is rapid. Not sure how much it all weighs. It's lighter though.
  11. Slick as anything! Enjoyed that a lot.
  12. It's hardly 142cm when 3 inches of your wheel hangs off. Not taking away the fact that it's still big ass riding though so,well done! Agreed on the booty shorts though....get rid!
  13. Yeah it"ll be used on mainly rocks etc and in all conditions.
  14. Currently I have a normal tryall stiky and on the rear there's a maxis creepy crawler. The lightest tyres for a mod seem to be the Monty eagle claw pro race (mouthful!!) which I'd hope to run on the front and rear. Cheers for the advice so far guys!
  15. Won't that differ on the size of wheel and weight/mass of the tyre? For example the weight being further from the hub would need more force to accelerate so you would really feel the difference but a 19" wheel different diameter altogether.
  16. So on my road bike (700c) you can really feel a difference in lighter tyres. The question is...I can save a half kilo on changing tyres alone but the wheels are so small would I gain any substantial advantage? Discuss....
  17. Luckily everything went together spot on. Even with maggy blood the lever feels grrrrreeeat!
  18. Pointless video. I wander why people do this crap.
  19. Well ive just reassembled and chopped off the half inch of hose that had no fluid in it and it seems fine (currently with magura blood in it). if its cack then its going in the bath. I got the 4 finger levered version so when I've got time i'll get it bled with the finest council pop I can find!
  20. Yeah that makes sense actually. Thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated!
  21. Yeah I've shortened the front hose. Problem is I let the hose flick about and lost some oil. If I reassemble as is there's a huge chance of a whopper of an air bubble.
  22. So I've just bought some of the 2011 HS33 and I know you can bath bleed the 05's. Question is has anyone tried to bath bleed the 2011 ones. I'm assuming technique is the same and since they're new I should be able to flush them out easier. Cheers chaps!!
  23. When Chainspotting first came out I tried looking for it and never found it (thats 17 years ago jesus!!)
