You can get silicon in a very thin viscosity. For example I used silicon in a squirty bottle when I used to detail a previous car...... Then rub my wiener on it cuz it's slippy ;-) joke !
Yeah when it beds in it might be a good brake but right now it's abismal! I'll be going front maggy soon. Hate the noise but love the power! We're riding some natural this Sunday weather and tide permitting if your kicking around Matt?
Decided to start again and get something rather fun. Cant fault the bike...just the rider. Only gripe is the seatstay clearance is snug to say the least. Video will be up soon but nowt big. Its been a while. Comments welcome (yes my disc is that big!).
With the lock ring as tight as possible, the toothed outer ring that your chain sits on wobbles laterally upto 3mm. I didn't mean the gaps between pawls engaging,I can see how I've made it come across, sorry
Hi chaps,
I've a tensile 96 click freewheel and it's got 2-3mm play. Not only that but I think it's making the chain slack then tight.
I know you can buy shims but is this what I'd need or is it bye bye freewheel time?
Don't start the Danny mac vs Ali thing. They're both world class but worlds apart as far as skill set goes. Danny cant touch Ali for tech but f**k me Danny goes big.
I'd rather a 160 for the modulation to be honest but money is tight so the easiest and cheapest thing to do is to run a 200 for a month. I think I'll bend it on a rock by then. Cheers for the advice guys.
Loooads of good riders there an you're well placed in the country for good spots. I occasionally head down there but have never rode there. Keep your eyes peeled on the organised rides section.
On another note my lass just done her test. She's just done her full license and passed. She got a cbr 600f. Me on the other hand completed my CBT and bought a Derbi Terra. Looks like a BMW 650gs. Big bike for a 125 (trying to justify having it when your lass has a 600!?!) and will do 70...just. I'm from the method of thinking that a motorbike license is a gift so I'm going to get as much experience as possible for mod1 and 2 then I'm going to do it on mine. Ride for 2 years, build up some no claims then get a transalp or versys. Tempted by the transalp more!
Welcome to trials! Plenty of 30+ year olds on here. Get yourself to some rides with more experienced riders. We're all a friendly bunch and we'll help out. Watch videos too. You can pick loads up from those. Where are you based?
