i always used hope XC hubs for AGES !!! finally saved up and got a pair of kings and a headset a while ago ! woooo thinks me. after bedding in and stuff,.... the rear one skipped so bad i hit my face and hand on a sharp rock ,and still have quite a big scar on my hand. so i thought.. oh well, and sold it and got a rear XC again. then the front king flange rips off so im missing 2 spokes ! so i continue ridin with a slightly buckled wheel, then i did a big gap to front wheel. the axle snapped. which caused my avid caliper bracket to snap. arr well the headsets are ace ! now i have a pair of pro2s and they seem really good. and cheaper, and prettyer, and not shite ! iolo.

i means wheels in general, not that a frame has to hold 2. you get tricycle frames too you know. its the fact that it hold the wheel rigidly that makes it a frame. iolo

i have had numerous people wanting me to produce '' unicycle FRAMES '' forks pivot in a frame. frames hold wheels rigidly and hold cranks, brakes and seat post/seat. SO THERE !! iolo.

been bashing this old trials bike about 5 times now, its REALLY funny !and muddy, enjoy... i was riding the old TY175 , maurice was on a gasgas125 and Ali C was on his mbkASHTON but we all swapped a bit. the things i found most difficult in my build were. chain clearing the seat.(i used 1 chain on a 6spd cassete onto a shaft drive to the centre under the seat edge then a second chain with tensioner to the cranks. rear differential. this is tricky, i just went for 1 wheel drive with a free wheel on one side. but if yours is more specific to offroad, then u gotta have 2 wheel drive. so i was thinking if i did it again, chain drive to a shaft, then 2 freewheels ont he ends of the shaft chain drive to fixed sprokets ont he rear wheels. u actually making this bigman ? or just designing ? iv been thinking of making something non floating very similar to your idea for a while. with some very very easy gears int here too for hill climbs. wud be ace ! i like the steering idea you have. u rekon it will be good for when you wiggle as you put the power down ?? iolo.

prehaps the idea of good stock taps plus good mod sidehops. i deff want a go. i have a road bike with 27" front and 20" rear and it feel perfectly normal to ride. but you have better torque when setting off cos of the silly smallwheel. and it fit in a box easyer. lol deff want a goo still looks shite iolo

hmm, iv now snapped 3 of the brackets and a caliper, there still brilliant brakes though, lol id just buy another. lol iolo.

this topic kinda has a status which also is a word used to describe fixation through negative fluid pressure. IT SUCKS

ace i have those books they are gd, iv got a couple of bike books that are REALLY thick and geek tastic too !! and just out of interest, u seen the 8 foot wheelbase freight bike in the Burrows book?? last page of the colour pictures in the middle, i just ordered one ! well excited. (will be making my own at some point, but aint go the time right now) and erm ye, ALU rocks !! (steels better, mans metal ! ) lol iolo.

i never buy it, really, unless in in it. but that pretty much purley for financial reasons. id much rather spend £3.95 on metal, or food. iolo PS. i think that its good that/what mike wrote in, x
