Can you explain how this works? Surely the spring is nothing to do with the speed at which the pads hit the rim? I always thought this would be affected only by how fast the lever blade is moved? Alun

That set is very similar to one my dad bought me from LIDL, and personally I wasn't pleased with it, same with anything else I've got from there. The crank puller stripped the threads on my jump bike, the chaintool managed to loose one of the (spikey things that hold the chain), and a multitool I had snapped when I tried to take off a pedal. My dad has both an MG B and an MG Midget. The MG B was to be restored, but it's going to be too costly, and risky as the floorwell and stuff have to be replaced. I know you can get boot racks for the Midget, but I think these wouldn't be suitable for bikes. Couldn't you just get a bike rack to fit on the back? Both are for sale now, I was supposed to have the Midget as my first car, but insurance is as high as a baby on coke. Alun

But how much pressure can you produce with one finger? Plastic is strong enough for the pressure, you won't feel any difference in my opinion. Alun

Advantages are they're harder wearing. If you find yourself breaking hoses through falling and hitting them they're a good idea, but theres no noticeable difference to the braking. Alun

Personally I have no objection to people smoking hash or skunk in moderation, so long as they do it sensibly. If they do not let it get in the way of their education, and do not smoke so much as to become different at times when they do not smoke, then I can see no harm in it. On the other hand, people that abuse drugs, or for that matter do anything other than weed, I think are silly. Users of hard drugs are sick in my opinion. I think the reason some people are so much against people smoking dope is that they class it the same as any other illegal drug, and the smoker becomes a druggy in their eyes. Even the fact that marijuana is only class C makes no difference to them. I think that if it where to become legalised, people would accept it abit more, and it would also become alot safer, perhaps the government could introduce standards to ganja, preventing all the additives that go into soap bars/rocky/hashish whatever you wanna call it. Cheers, I can see your point though. Yeah, I've been on dreadheadhq, that was a really helpfull site. It's quite annoying, because for best results you need residue free shampoo, haven't found anywhere close that sells it yet, they all seem to be packed full of fragrance and moisturisers etc. Alun

Don't bother, that won't make a difference. If theres flex, tightening will make no difference unless they where loose. I recommend a new booster, preferably four bolt. Hope I've helped, Alun

There's a spoke length calculator somewhere isn't there? See if the length that gives is the same. If they're the wrong length, take them back and ask for the ones you need, might even get something for the time you've wasted building up the wheel too, though they have the right to turn around and say no as you've cut them down now!
