  4. Buggati Veyron for sure, though I'd probably end up crashing and dying anyway! Alun
  5. :$ Cheers guys Alun
  6. Obviously skipping, so the pawls mustn't be engaging properly, get it open again, and stretch the little copper 'springy things' a little, should give better engagement Alun

    Nicknames

Alun muff muff, muffin, the muffin man, jinj I had big ginger (well auburn really ) hair for a while, sortof affro. Muffin related names where by little chav kids, mainly girls, who used to follow me around saying how stupid I was on a bike with no seat. Oh what I'd give for them to be male and my age... Alun

    Bodges!

OK guys, tell us all about you'r greatest bodges, pics would be nice too! Only rule, no maggie TPA's, to common! Unless it's something special Anyway, heres my attempts; clickyboo 1 I duck taped a V brake lever blade to my maggie lever for more legerage when I had to use some koolstops for a while. Did give more power, but I suppose it is abit dodgy! And... clickyboo 2 Overall, a very dodgy bike. Little money meant I skimped on parts. The bottom bracket and cranks I took off my old Y-frame sus bike, a few years old back then, and where impossible to stop wobbling! The frame and forks I bought for £70 off a mate, and I bought a headset, the only other thing I needed for £12.99. Had some amazing times on this though, last summer was amazing at our forest. A lot of things have broken by now, but the frame, headset lol, bar and stem are sound, anyone interested in them make me an offer. I was going to build it up myself as it's a decent frame, but unfortunately £notenough£. clickyboo 3 Chain tensioner made from a cotton reel, short length of hosepipe, copper wire and cable ties! The seatpost I had was too small for the frame, so I ground a piece of aluminium tupe that nearly fitted a fraction smaller, stuck that in the frame with a stretched quick release off a micro-scooters handlebars, and found a clamp to squeeze the top of the tube to the seatpost! (had to cut some slits in for the tube to bend) I also ground (yes I like grinders!) the outer chainring round! Running single speed by the way. And the suspention had about 12 washers within the forks on EACH side, because when it bottomed out, which was often, the tire hit the underside of it!! Show me what you've got! Alun
  13. Haha! I think it is more or less needed on those things! Slippy as! Alun
  14. I had some back pain, and found out it was when I landed gaps, sounds weird, but I used to bend my back when I landed, not bending my legs as much. Now I use my legs more, helped the pain, and Im smoother now too! Alun
  15. Yes it is so similar, sometimes I dont know if Im stoned, or just browsing T-F!! Myself, I aren't addicted, but it is very usefull, helpfull, and amusing, all thanks to the (mostly) great, trialsing members. EDIT: ^^^^Talking about TF here by the way!!! (and cannabis aint really addictive either, estimated only 10% of users are addicted) Alun
  16. So long as the Monty's in good nick, I'd go for that, but give it a good look over first, and have a ride on it. You say you know someone that can get one, If you dont see it yourself first, dont part with any money! Also, it doesn't bother me personally, but if you use 'better' English in you'r posts, it'll help you get validated quicker, and make it easier for some people to read Alun EDIT: Just realised your other topic less than an hour ago saying you wanted to build your own bike, changed your mind? Or are you still deciding? If you aren't gonna build a bike no more, say so in the other thread and ask for it to be closed, otherwise people will be posting for no reason
  17. What about CHROME ? I mean chrome coloured though, dont you have to dip chrome? Alun EDIT: Also, consider having more than one colour. More expensive of course, but makes your bike much more unique. Something like camouflage, all the colours of the rainbow, or even just two colours? Possabilities (sp) are endless, your choice in the end. I'd reccomend photoshopping a picture to get an idea of the final look though, I'm sure someone one here would do it for you if you ask, I would if I could. And maby consider a coat of laquer? Would help prolong your work. Are you doing it yourself, or...?? Good luck anyway, hope it turns out well. (wow, edit larger than original post!)

Butter my ass and slip inside Oh my lard What a legend Alun
  20. Right, with a freewheel up front, you get the amount of engagement points stated, i.e. one crank rotation gives 72 engagements, as on the eno (?) But on the back, the number of engagements through one crank rotation depends on the gearing, i.e. running a 1.5:1 ratio of gears would mean 108 engagements through a single crank rotation. Am I right? And if so, what do you guys think of making a really small rear freewheel, say 14t, 12 if possible, so mods could make the most of this?? ALun
  21. ZOOM upside deow forks?  lmao Alun
