i got my hayes disc brake about a week ago and i have been using it for about a week now. i (or stuart) got crap on it first off and it really didnt want to work. it litterally wouldnt hold and made an AWFULL and bloody annoying sound. so i decided (with help from stuart) to boil the pads for about 30 mins in just plain tap water. put them back on my bike and it stopped making the gay wanky noise but i thought that it wouldnt work as nothing i do ever seems to that i try to make my bike work that little bit better. so i was waiting for the noise to come back and the power to go. but no noise came back, so i carried on riding with a slight smile on my face. it did nothing but get better :P , and still is. it feels SOOOO good at the moment. it locks very very well and EASILY holds my weight when i gap to front wheel. there is loads of modulation with it to and when you do a big stoppie :(" the power doesnt give in at all, unlike the avid where the slightest bit of heat makes it go ubber wank to the point where it wont work at all (wasnt a fan of my avid). it seems to be an allround brake and it just wont loose its power what ever conditions you put it in. i got my brake second hand for £75 with the right fitting for my mount, but i would spend the £130 or what ever they are new for sure. i think it is an awesome brake and i really dont see why only a hand full of people use them on the forum  . maybe because it isnt one of the "in things" and you never see anyone use them. but i have given it a chance and i wont go back to an avid in a million years. haha. im sure wayne_king and spoon will back me up on how good they are as they are the ony people i know fo to be actually using them on thier trials bikes. if you see me on any rides just ask to try it out, you will probably go out and buy one after you try it :P cheers james :P THIS is the one i have got. but mine got and all blac lever (Y) haha. forgot to say, the shape of the lever is really nice aswell, really very nice for one finger braking and it feels rather stiff too... :P

i thought my ruffians were wank, wore down in no time and after a bit of wear when you sweated slightly they went like a mush, if you get me (Y) . i have been using them echo/zoo/koxx/velo/viz/saracen/planet x/bt/ every bike make known to man. really like them and they are jolly cheap to... oh ye and i dont wear gloves...." haha
  15. i used to use easton ea70 medium rise bars with a 120mm stem on my 1060 pure. i really liked this set up and couldnt see my self changing to any other bar/stem combo. i loved the feel of them and they just seemed to fit me down to the bone. now im on a pitbull and i very kindly got some echo bars and stem off selectbikes. i opened the box of bits and saw some flat echo bars. now im the sort of person who will slate things even though i havent even tried them. i did quite a bit of "echo bars are wank" haha. even though i had never used them. i had that same opinion when i saw them in the box and i was a bit scepticle of how i would get on with them. i have been riding my bike solid for around 2 days now and i think i have sort of got used to it. i have to say, i really really do love my bar and stem set up now. i also got sent a 100mm (i think? phil might know and if he reads this could say what i got for deffinate  ) echo stem and it seems to have hardly any rise, dunno if this is the same for all echo stems. but ye im using a shorter stem with flat bars and it all feels natural, like i have hardly had to adjust to get used to them. moves seem quite a lot easier to do and i just feel like im in control a lot more. dunno if this has helped you at all but...i love flat bars now (Y) hahaha bit more... i dont seem to be hitting my tighs so much o the bars when i bump. i dunno if this is cause of the bars and stem or just the fact i have got a new bike :"> BUT i think some of it is down to the bars and stem...
  16. >_< i was wondering who that ladeeeeee was phillius. haha. she were quite nice (N)" thought it were an awesome stand, a lot of work must have gone into it. the only thing i found a bit dodgy was the python ziptied the that pole above, haha.
  17. i wanted to see what adams build could stand up to cause everyone is like "oh get a tarty build cause noone has ever broke one", so i thought i would see how it would handle that. didnt work out how i wanted it too >_< was quite a good build though, before that drop. slammed it about a bit and it buckled. did a 8ft drop a few times and it went perfectly straight again. haha. thought that was pretty awesome. (N)
  18. ... adam reads build didnt really stand up to that (N) 2 days i have had that bike working, 2 DAYS!!!!!!!! >_<
