Steerer tube might not have been cut short enough, so the topcap may be bottoming out on it, your headset therefore wouldn't be preloaded properly which could cause them to rattle. Is it just the forks that are moving or the headset cups as well? If the cups are moving then it's probably flared

Not sure on where to get them cheap from, but 185 is spot on. I've got a 185 on my stock and it's a beast. Has instant lock if you want it, but loads of modulation if you don't pull the lever quite as hard

I don't mind riding on my own a couple of times a week just to practice things, but like leedstrials said, only if it's somewhere quiet. I prefer the rides when I'm with other people though, it's just more fun Also, the people I normally ride with (sexymike, davetrials, and cj) are better than me so they can teach me how to do stuff
