  1. Opel Manta by any chance? I've just looked at the last page of this thread so if I'm miles off please excuse me
  2. Looks to me like they've bitten off more than they can chew, I can't get on the website, same old story
  3. Hi I don't often post on the forum but read regularly and find it very informative. Anyway this morning while I was at work I noticed that I had £2.88 on my mobile after sending a text message. I then went to ring my girlfriend and noticed that I now only had 97p Looking through my dialed numbers is a number which I'm not familiar with which was called from my phone at 1.42pm today which must have raped nearly £2 off of my balance. I'm almost certain that I wasn't using my phone at that time as I had just arrived at my girlfriends house and the phone was in my pocket. The number is also the full 11 digits so it can't be just a coincidence that I've pressed all these numbers into my phone... can it? Looking further into the mystery I noticed that a number that I recognised was also called at 5.40am almost 2 weeks ago. We then looked through the local take aways and it's the number for a chinese I haven't used in nearly 3 years so why would I ring them at 20 to 6 in the morning and know the number just like that. Every time this has happened it seems that I've been at my girlfriends house, is there anyway some muppet could have hacked into my sim card or even my phone via bluetooth, I sometimes put it on and forget to switch it off, could it be that one of us have weird sleeping habits where we ring a chinese take away that neither of us like at silly times? The weird thing is I know exactly what I was doing at 1.42 today, I was on my own as the Mrs was out and her parents were doing their own thing. They're both technophobes and can't send a text nevermind hack my phone. The phone is a Nokia N73 Music Edition and the Network is o2 prepay Sorry if I'm been completely blind here but I'm so confused!
  4. Yea course it is but there are so many singing competitions out there. Give something different a foot in the door for a change. There were so many good singing acts on there including that young lad but theres no doubt that just making the auditions that they are well set up now. Obviously singers are always going to go far in competitions like this but the point i was trying to make is that every other Saturday night 'entertainment' programme contains people singing to reach a final, as in X-Factor and I'd do anything etc etc. Maybe I'm just been small minded so hmm
  5. That Faryl lass was good but there are so many more competitions that are all about singing and I personally dont think singers should be able to get so far with it. There is a lot more variety out there with the likes of the Indian Michael Jacksons and the Violinists who do something a bit different where they wouldn't otherwise get recognised. I bet that that Faryl lass will get snapped straight up anyway where the dancers and comedians will just have to go back to the day jobs and settle for their 15minutes of fame
  6. DJ Scotch Egg! Not sure anybody has mentioned him yet becuase I couldn't be bothered to go through all of the Youtube vids. Anyway his myspace page is DJ Scotch Egg And a Youtube Video Scotch Bach which I quite like
  7. Its easy to jump to conlusions unless you're actually in that sort of situation. For example, my mother was diagnosed with myeloma nearly 3 years ago so couldn't work once all the treatment and everything began. Shes also had bad knees all of her life and is prone to falling. The family just thought she was a bit clumsy but it turns out she has something called hypermobility where her joints can bend in weird and wonderful ways so she has to see a physio and get all sorts of treatment for it. Anyway after she went through all the treatment for the myeloma she went back to work thinking she was okay and over did it quite a lot, in her clumsiness fell down a flight of stairs and made a good mess of her leg and so on. When you look at her walking out of the house to go to the shops or whatever she looks like any able bodied 50 year old woman. When she gets back shes a complete wreck due to a number of health problems. In all fairness she tried to go back to work and it wasn't for her because after an hour she was just exhausted and had to spend the rest of the week in bed. Since then she is now claiming disability benefit (a doctor had to come out and assess and report whether they thought she was ill enough to receive the benefit and went through a long process to make sure she wasnt taking the piss) which is well deserved but its a struggle and I'm sure if she was able she would work. She has bother getting up and down the stairs and if she over does it is on her arse for the next week. Anyway the point I'm trying to make is that it is so easy to take things at face value and think yea they're milking it but there could be other circumstances involved. Somebody else I know has heart problems and gets a motability car and various benefits. He looks like a fit healthy 20 year old but still has problems which can't be physically seen. Anyway probably a load of waffle, cheers
  8. Its something like file > export and then choose the file type. It needs to render it all out as far as I can remember. By saving it as a .proproj or whatever its called is just a map of all the files and effects you have on the project.
  9. Its just pure greed, when Virgin first took over NTL:Telewest there was all the crap with sky and people wanting to change over. Virgin just rolled over and licked the customers arses offering V+ etc. Surely they will not put this into practice. Also when they first took over they said that they wouldn't limit their internet access but at peak times the download rate gets tapped or something. Not totally sure on that one but it came up a while ago. “this net neutrality thing is a load of bollocks.” is hardly something sensible and reputable for the chief executive of a massive company to say is it? People will think its run by monkeys

    Tomtom Software

I just did a restore back to the what I had backed it up to yesterday and it seemed to be fine and running really well. Although then when I disconnected and started it by itself it said the voice I had set up was unavailable. Then plugged it back in and went back to square 1. Pain in the arse it is but I'm sure I'll eventually get my head round it. Im a complete noob with this tomtom business. There seems to be some kind of conflict between how HOME wants it to work and how the unit wants itself to work. I shall leave it for a while before I attempt to update anything else with it. Cheers

    Tomtom Software

Panic over, its all mended now
  12. I bought a Tomtom GO 520 over the weekend and the unit itself is great. Unfortunately however, when I connect it to the computer and load the software it just goes tits up, it will install one thing onto the unit and then the computer software just gives up. Is there any reason for this? My computer is usually pretty reliable and am interested whether anybody else has had any similar issues. Its the latest version of the software (HOME 2.2) but its really getting on my tits. Are there any more stable versions available for use anywhere or any solutions to the issue. My computer is pretty standard fare, Windows XP Home all nicely up to date with the service packs and all that etc etc Cheers in advance anyway
  13. Depends on 2 of 2 things though, Whether you are in education Whether you have a Mac
  14. I've been making my own stuff for years and been on a music tech degree for the past 2 years. I try and make my own stuff but lose patience with it after a few days, come back to it 6 months later and then get really creative with it. I find that I can be really critical about other pepoles tracks and then over produce my own and make them into a pile of shit. I have a lot of respect for people who can carry something through from start to finish and actually make it sound natural. Most of my stuff is comical and sometimes cheesy. Maybe one day I will upload some and get some opinions about it but not just yet. I'll leave it to the musicians
  15. I quite like it, it's a bit different to what I expected but very pleasant. What do you use to make the tracks?
  16. High mileage is always a risk, my first car was a 1.2 8valve corsa and it had 162k when I got shut and it was absolutely fine, well looked after from the 1 owner before
  17. Number 155 was posted at 1:55, is that pure coincidence?
