  1. Agreed I would never use anything else.
  2. Crupi make alot of bmx race parts. The headset looks ok but for that money I would buy a chris king everytime.
  3. When you bleed the brake make sure once you have removed the pads to wedge something inbetween the pistons. By the sounds of it you didn't do this and the pistons have fallen out. Start by moving the brake lever so that the top cap is level then. Remove the wheel then the pads. The make sure you wedge something between the pistons. Then your ready to bleed. Start by putting a small piece of pipe over the bleed nipple then remove the top cap of the lever. Turn the bleed nipple 1/2 a turn to open it and pull the lever back to the bar and hold it against the bar. With the lever still held against the bar then close the bleed nipple. Once it's closed the let go of the lever. You should notice the fluid in the top cap is being sucked through the brake. Be careful not to let the fluid in the top cap run out keep it topped up. Keep repeating this process and you should notice the air coming out at the caliper through the bleed nipple that you put that small piece of pipe on. When there is no more bubbles coming out of the tube you should close the bleed nipple for the last time then fill the top cap to the brim with fluid so that when you place the cap back on you get a little over flow of fluid. Clean any brake fluid up and re fit you pads and wheel. Pump the lever a few time and if all went to plan you should now have a working brake. Paul
  4. \ I have been running water for the last few years. No problems at all I would never go back now to mineral oil
  5. I used normal quality spokes. Somthing like sapim or dt double butted will be fine. Avoid getting black spokes. It would be worth getting the raer wheel built 4 cross non-drive side as your quite a big guy. A normal set of cranks will fit no problem just use a bb with an axel length of 122mm upwards. The dropout is the same as the ones you find on saracens ect so you should be able to get on easyly enough. Not sure on the bb rise. Most people run a flat bar with a 100mm 5' rise stem. Paul
  6. My lessons lighter than that. Paul
  7. If your only riding natural it should be ok for quite a while. My broke on the horozontal dropouts. but the 26'' has vertical dropouts so you will be fine. It's a good frame and if your getting it at a good price then go for it. Paul
  8. I used to have the 20'' version. Never heard anything about the disk mounts cracking. If they crack anywere they crack at where the seat stays join the seat tube. Just rember that this frame was designed for comp use. Riding alot of street on it will result in it breaking in under a year.
  9. You can get a 12t cog but any lower than that you will need a separate driver. Try www.alansbmx.com www.customriders.com Thanks

    Bmx Cranks

Getting a small enough sprocket? Tubular crank arms can dent heavier (even with a ti axel) They would work fine but getting a small enough sprocket will be hard. A flatland company called Quamen make a 22t. I once improted on from the us but to make it fit properly I have to moddify it as It's mainly designed to fit one piece cranks. When I moddified it it developed an up/down movement wich on a bike with either a mech or tensioner is fine because the mech/tensioner takes out and inperfections in it's shape. If you put a bike with a mech on upside down pedal it backwards and watch the mech you should 9 times out of 10 notice the mech move up/down a bit. This is because the chinring isn't perfectly round. If you mod this sprocket and run it on a mod as theres no mech/tensioner you will get an extreme tight and loose spot in the chain. Paul
  11. If you take it to a quality bike shop they will have a tool called a stining(sp) tool. Its basicly an oversized crank puller wich will cut new larger threads into you crank arm. You will then be able to use an oversized crank puller and remove the cranks like normal. Paul
  12. You might need a new lock ring. They only have a few alloy threads on them and are easily damaged. The lock rings are easy to get hold of try: www.alansbmx.com www.customriders.com www.pijin.co.uk They might not be on there web site but they have phone numbers so give them a call. Paul
  13. Ok then. When do I pay the import tax? Is the courier going to ask for it at the door when he delivers it? Paul
