  1. Yeah mate i used to use tar, but now i grind its so much better if you dont alredy grind i sujest you do. Dont be scared of it its so so easy theres no kick back from the grinder and theres no chance you will go though your rim.
  2. Im scared of backwheeling a wall and then going over the bars off the drop on the other side!
  3. For frames mate the Zoo! pitbull is a real nice one, its light and stong good looks. Personaly i think you should give the new echo pure a try, im dieing to try one! i think ill get the frame in a few months. As for cranks... Im running tensile cranks there realy good altho i think middleburns are better they take a harder beating as there all solid, whereas the tensiles have holes in the bash which after a while of taking impact will start to fold and form a flat spot(Happened to me) which then makes the feature of being able to turn the outer ring around to use all of the bash. Also the middleburns have lifetime warenty whereas the tensiles have a half price crash replacement. So if you have £100+ get the middleburns if you dont get the tensiles there both great cranks. Ive never had any problems with my onza bars. I take it you want a wide rim as you have listed both the echo cnc and the hog rim. I had a hog rim and personaly didnt like i put a small dent into it quite easy and it buckled easliy. As for the echo rim ive only read bad things about them out of the 2 id go for the hog. But if you want a strong rim get a ronnie!
  4. Zoo! pads for a smooth rim tar, or for a superior brake that wont last long run them on a light grind, i am and there amazin. After i wear my Zoo! pads down ill be switching to the new coust pads or the majic pads depending on my mood. If you dont grind you rim please do! its so so so so easy i was once scared of doing it but i gave it ago and its so simple theres no bite or kickback from the grinder you wont go though your im at all, give it a go its widely uesd for a reason!
  5. 2004 levers with a rear 04 slave set and a front 05 slave set. Milehams clutch oil in both. Rear rim has a light/medium grind, front is smooth. Zoo! pads rear and koxx bloxx yellows front. Magura booster on front and onza carbon on the rear.
  6. Wear a dust mask or ventilator? grind the rim outside perhaps?
  7. Ebay.co.uk is your best best mate.
  8. Hi mate i think its realy good that your doing a service. To help people out you could give a rough price list on here of common parts so people have a rough idea, as most people want there magura's done or there forks done and seeing as most forks are the same shape lengnth and all maguras are the same sizes it makes sense.
  9. All i can say mate is stick them on your bike and see if you like them.
  10. NO more than £5, which is still a rip becuase it takes like 5 seconds for them to do it.

    Bolt Stuck

Use a hair dryer mate or boiling water. For the glue its your saying you have put glue on yuor threads then bash the area around the threads with a hammer so this breaks the glue seal then try again.
  13. I realy want to test ride one, i badly want one but im scared i wont like it as i ride a 1080 wb at the moment. Spending £550 and then not liking it would be gutting!
  14. Does the wheel move in the drop out? or say when you riding and you lean your weight over to one side of the bike does it rub then? If its moving in the drop outs you might have cracked your axel or twisted your frame, but twisting your frame is extreme so i doubt its that. If its the leaning problem then its your wheel build, the spokes are loose and are flexing over to the side when force is put onto it. Just give your spokes a tighten up.
  15. Right ive had both so i speak from experience. The saracen(s). 1050 wb, so its a short frame with quite flickly/spinny feels to it but at the same time is good at "pure" trials like drops, gaps, ups ect. Its strong and light and depending on what model you buy the parts are good. id only advise the 2six £300, 2sixh £500, Team issue £650(altho i thik this is out of production, im sure it can still be bought) or if you have the money the Team urban £750, I personaly think the team super pro is just too expensive and a much better bike can be bought for that price of it(£1,250). All prices are from the saracen site when shopping around most of the bikes can be bought for about £100 or more less than the rrp. Overall i liked mine lots there a great bike dont let anyone tell you otherwise the 2004 saracen might well have been shit but the new ones are great! Onza t-rex. 1080 wb, Its a long frame but i dont find it unmanageable, its great for "pure" trials but recently ive been doing a few 180 spins ect on it so its not impossible. Its very strong a lot stronger than the saracen but its heavyer altho not by much, when you get on it and ride you wont even notice. The parts are great on all 3 versions of the bike. For £500 you get top quality parts, For £750 you get even better parts and for the woodstock edition the parts are amazing but again i think its just too much money. Overall i think its also a great bike ive dented it on the down tube but im not one bit worryed that it will crack as i know how tought it is. So i think the better bike is the t-rex, but if you dont fancy the 1080 wb then get the saracen. Dont feel that its the underdog its not at all its a top quality bike, i think its up to you if you want a short bike then go for one of the saracen's, whereas if you wanna give a longer bike a try get the onza t-rex. Either way you wont be dissapointed. For the saracen go to http://wadescycles.co.uk For the saracen go for http://tartybikes.co.uk

  18. f**k sake not another one! I know how you feel mate my bike was stolen aswell. i dont live in oxford so i doubt ill see it. Chances are the theifs know your bike is worth money and alredy have somone lined up to buy it, sorry to sound negative but i think its more than likley alredy gone. Altho keep looking on ebay and go to all local bike shops with photos also make up some stolen posters and stick them around uni someone has got to know somthing. Chin up mate.
