  1. I was there too - i was also wondering if there might have been any trials riders about.
  2. Thats the spirit....looks a lot nicer in general too i think.
  3. I got my try-all end plugs in my monty bars, if they dont go in easily, either sand them or whack them hard ,they will ventually get in there. Safer for you aswell, i've seen many a spleen ripped open by a lack of bar end plugs.
  4. i defently wouldn;t go back to mine, but at the time of using it (think i might of even been one of the first customers when they came out) i remember getting it like on its release date....and it is true, ''proper' trials riders would pick the t-raptor over it...at the time of me owning it i loved it. Long bikes didn't really exist then and whilst the T-rex wasn;t meant to be an amazing bike, it was defently fun. I rode with a guy back then who was very accomplished at trials and he loved it over his frame for just bombing around and bunnyhoppping and so on. As i said i'd never go back to it, nor would i really want to own anything Onza these days, it had a time and place...and however many years ago it was when it came out, it was enjoyable. its a dated design and of course it doesn't suit the way trials has moved/evolved, but if people still enjoy using them, then why not?
  5. Defently keep the Pro 2...not just becuase its designed for trials (if it is the trials version you've got) but that does count for something. I used to run a bulb, its skipped like crazy, the titanium freehub/cassette mount area got f**ked even using a wide cog and now its on a jump/bsx bike of mine its still quite unreliable. I've cleaned it out and stri9pped it many times but i think the trials did it no good. I changed to a Pro 2 after and after some settling down it has performed perfectly and i love it, i would even choose a Pro 2 over a King, just for me its been brilliant...fit and forget ..almost!! Whilst the ublb is a good hub, its not intended for trials and it shows.
  6. Nice, byut put your bar end plugs in...i always think it looks really untidy leaving them like that. Sadle seems a little high too. I think thats the most trialsy build of an Inspired yet but it doesn't look bad at all. I need to finish my build soon!!!! Enjoy.
  7. I thought the arse deserved a comment.....in a public forum i gave my opinion. Apparently that wasn't constructive and i was asked to comment on the riding....so i did. I really do think the arse shots have gone by far too easily, i think its the pure comedy in them that inspired me to comment. Also this guy is not just like every other TSG rider....how can you say that? I don't need to be constructive the guy knows how to ride so i gave my opinion on the overall video...and my lasting impression will always be the slow-mo arse pop. An excuse to be nasty? Why do we all have to be nice?
  8. I'll comment on the riding instead...... BORING. Its not me being a dick, its my opinion. You are technically good, if you were a guitarist you'd be Joe Satriani. Also when commenting back to people try and use correct grammer or atleast spellings so people can see what you mean. Well done for being good at what you do - you are proficient indeed.
  9. I'm sorry but i can't take that shit seriouslly, seeing your ass pop out in slow motion everytime you land a sidehop...... seriouslly sort it out. After the first couple of times that happened, surely you'd be thinking ''pretty stupid to ride in skiiny jeans''....but no, every f**king clip theres your arse again. This could well be the most disgustingly homo-erotic thing i've ever seen - i can't believe there hasn't been more comments - it is beyond rediculous. I turned it off after about the 15th arse shot ans that was about 1 minute in. Its not that i have a problem with homosexuality - i have a problem with this stupid video. I know trials is going all stlye over substance, with the everyday rider drilling the f**k out of their only frame and so on.....but wearing skinny jeans for trials is silly enough, but when they do that....... jesus christ. I can;t believe anyone can take this seriously.......... i never thought in a trials video i would see a slow motion arse pop. Your video is beyond strange.
  10. I had the blue/silver version with a proper street set up. My uncle is currently in possesion of it as i don't need it and he fancied a go at trials (change from freeriding for him). I doubt i'd like it now but at the time i loved it, not great for trials but such a fun street bike - bunnyhoppped like crazy. I quit trials after giving it to me uncle and after a year of no trials i got a Koxx and tried the proper trials way of life....... put it this way im almost finished building up my Inspired after getting rid of the koxx as i want to recapture the sort of fun i had back on the old t-rex, a bit more of an adaptable bike that was just pure FUN - a refreshing change from a lot of todays trials riding. The triple brake mount was ahead of its time too.......and i'm alsmot 100% sure they were 900 wheelbase!!!! Far to many gussest though - ugly, ugly bike.
  11. Well i ordered the Try-all earlier today so when it arrives i'll let you know how it works and looks on a meat head. I looked at the fox again and although some of the graphics are cool it is a bit weird and like ive said they go wrong a lot and theres a £40 differance. Atleast you can re-use the try-all if you hit hard a couple of times.
  12. Well obviouslly the caliper is different as it houses a bigger set of pistons, therefore needing different brake pads. SO they've all changed. Lever doesn't need changing as we don't really need a trials specific level (same as the Magura level will do). The discs are always changing with hope brakes, i'm sure i remember something where they updated it (not sure if that was just for the mono trial) - but you can use a variety of discs on the brake to tialor it to your needs. Work and development with trials riders went on aswell to ensure the brake was up to the job....so yeah stuff has changed and afteral they produced a trials specific brake, they didnt just re-name the mono mini.
  13. Larger piston, creates an increase in power that is more suited to the nature of trials riding......so there we have it, big ass piston.
  14. i was thinking of the Try-All lid too, its cheap and looks good, although Tartybikes have a much better selection than trialsman. Both colours and both designs in all sizes. I've got a meathead and i'm worried a pisspot might look a bit weird.... My mum has actually got the Fox helmet and she is on her fourth one as it keeps breaking. They look great but have some big flaws with the clips that fox need to address. Good helmet but you might be sending it back a bit!!!
  15. No, i'm from Northampton though, but i live in Nottingham while im at uni but i finish in may and am coming back for a while....perhaps fancy an Inspired MK sesh in the summer?
  16. Although already proven i will further re-affirm it. I ran a disk on mine and maggy, and did realise for sometime that it could actually take a Vee aswell, but i never tried. I ran a 4 pot hope (whatever it was called back in those days, with the lightning cut outs) and it never snapped either. The rest of the frame flexed like shit but the disc mount seemed ok. Also, did they ever bring out the body armour/bashplates for them which could be mounted around thee BB and downtube. Such a crazy bike.
  17. Lots of that needs to change. I'll post pictures of mine up at the weekend when its built and he can see how its done!! Seriouslly though, bars, chainstay protector, cranks and a few bits more need sorting out. Few too many stickers for my liking too. ALso i think Halos are a bit shit, but as long as he likes it and feels wicked, awesome then who cares!
  18. Awesome looks good, is that photo of you riding it in MK? I will have pictures of my Inspired up by the weekend when i've finished building it. Would of been finished tonight as my last order of parts came in, but i had ordered 20'' inner tubes :arabia: stupid times. Enjoy your ride.
  19. Ask Hope, don't f**k it up like people on here would have you do.
  20. This is what British trials should be about, it seems to have lost its way. Its this style and type of riding that sets British trials apart from the continental stlye we seem to have adopted. Whilst european riding is amazing, its where it started and it most defently has its place, its stuff like this that could really set us apart. Seems a strange thing to say seeing as its a slightly dated video. We should go back to theses times and build on it. Britain = street, afterall are mountains are poo. Nice to see again!
  21. They're very simply forged so they're strong but not overly refined - no CNC bullshit here. The pedal threads are delicate but if you're not a muppet and look after them they'll be fine, i've had various pedals on and off mine - as long as you keep the washer secure they'll be alrite. Few guys use them one they're 24''s well a form of Raceface anyway. My second pair are on my coiler and likewise they've stood up great, same as when i had them one two trials bikes and a jump bike. I have a pair that must be over 6 years old now and are fine and dandy - very rigid...get em on and get riding...if they break they break.
  22. I used to a long time ago run them in the old school days, those same cranks are now on a jump bke of mine and doing fine. I also have a set on my Kona and whilst there not pretty or light i have never had any problems and would recommend them. If you've already got some or you can get hold of some cheap...get them on!
  23. I wasn't enough of a tramp to take the money though. I'm not taking money for riding my bike - espeically off kids, i'm not that desperate.
