Does the frame/back brake feel ok without a booster, are you just getting away with it, or is it pretty flex free? The bike looks lovely though, just a shame it has deng cranks, but other than that it looks amazing.

I talked to John Freeman a week or two ago in London and he's pretty much against them for the reasons you said, i can't recall this article you mentioned, and if you can find it/a link to it i would be eternally grateful. And yes i'm looking at Lomo designed cameras and re-issued cameras such as the Holga/Diana etc... Thankyou very much for your opinion/comments. Matt. Those links...... a thousand thankyou's!!!

For all those Photography minded who have a knowledge/interest in Lomo/Lomography then here's the place to voice your opinions! I am currently writing my Dissertation about Lomography looking at them being pioneer's of fun/abstract photography producing innovative cameras, promoting all aspects of photography versus them being a heavily targetted marketing company aimed at a very specific type of person producing poor quality cameras. What ever your opinion is on the matter, it is of particular interest to me and would help my work immensly. Whether you love or hate them, please let me know what you think and why you think it, no opinion is wrong as it is yours and your entitled to feel the way you do! If possible i would greatly appreciate if this did not turn in to an argument about Lomo, i'm looking for YOUR personal opinion for ME. Please don't argue amongst yourself as everyone has a right to feel the way they do, and these cross opinions will be of no use to me. One mans junk is another man's treasure............ So don't hold back, any thoughts or opinions you have lets here them i really am interested. All quotes used will be referenced in my dissertation so you will be credited for your opinion. Thankyou very much for your time!

I'm currently deciding between these and the Sun rims, i need them in 32h so it would have to be CRC for the Sunn rim's and Tarty for the DMR's. Both look good, i like the way blakc DMR's look with black spokes and a big tyre, like on Joe maher's Inspired. There both similar weights, both strong you could just decide with which you prefer the look of, brand affiliation and so on? I don't think you'll regret buying either one or wishing you had the other.........

Crank extractor is like £7 and re-usable? I dont see the problem?

I've always got through when trying to ring them. Just make sure you ring on a week day and remember mistakes happen.

Yeah i've only been up to the other Uni once and it seemed good, but got kicked off quite quickly. Much nicer campus feel, lots of riding in one area. The new square does offer quite a lot of riding i think i might try for a really early (4a.m.ish) ride there as i think it will be the best time to get away with it. To Kris Boats.... that frikin 'Coust Wall' drives me mad, for my first year in Notts i had no idea where it was, now i do and have ridden there a few times and its just a wall, its like a tourist attraction to non-Nottingham Trials riders, buts its just a big ugly wall with a short run up...i don't get the fascination. But its true people do mention the same places as thats all there is really!

Its 5 arm right? I guess its that the ard guard is made for compact drive cranks, which most (modern) 5 arms are, and i guess the raceface's you've got are a bit old school and are not compact drive. You could either get compact drive cranks or a big arse bashguard designed for non compact drive, but it will be along the lines of the size of a 4 arm 22t bashguard...so quite big.

I'm not suggesting that, nor am i - far from it, its just my opinion that i find Notts a little limited..... are you the guy with the super chrome Onza mod? If so, i thnk i've seen you about when i've been walking around.

Ampitheatre is boring, just a load of gaps and sidehops ,everything is a perfect square, not really many lines. You really can't get away with riding the new market square..last time i was in the big black fountain i got called over by the Police who said if i was ever stopped again.....blah blah. The Uni bit in town is where i ride to be honest, so i guess 3 years of that i've had enough. What do you mean by the tram stops? Im intrigued?
-
Sounds good, i also like the idea of getting the bike in the car and getting out for a proper days ride somewhere else than the town on your doorstep - i find it more productive in a weird kind of way. I look forward to checking it out.
-
I agree, i've never seen the fascination with Nottingham, living here for 3 years hasn't been the most fun for trials, its kind of limited, and suited to a certain type of riding. I really should venture to matlock quarry as i don't think its too far from here.....

I live in Notts, havent riden for a couple of months and desperatly want to get back going again. Theres a massive mod presence around Notts and not too many stock riders - not that i'm having a go but there can be a tendancy to just line up against'known spots' and sidehop all day and to me thats boring as hell. Be good to know if there was any stock riders...?

The guy who designed the aesthetics/layout of it... Jason something, a british guy did an interview for a TV show that was called something like ''Product of the Year'' or ''Design of the year'' and that was probably 2003/2004/2005. Its not a great idea to write on a subject you have very little knowledge in, trials-forum seems an unusual place to come to. You're being very vague when you say 'inspriation for why they designed it the way they did' you could elaborate on that, do you mean aesthetics, ergonomics, anthropometrics..... perhaps then you might get some more helpful responses. Better yet...... why don't you just contact Apple ,then you'll have first hand primary research as opposed to bullshit web pages.

[on the sunject of a Bible printing company] Yes, that is a great company. I bought one of their large print version (old eyes... what can I say?). The only thing I don't like about them is they sell foreign language versions of the KJB. I don't think that's right. We know the only true translation is the 1600's version in English. It's too risky for anybody to translate that into other languages. Mistakes can creep in... and that can lead to heresy. True Christians should only read English. Funny that as Jesus was know as ''King of the Jews'', where was it he was born again..Nazareth, Bethlehem? I don't remember his extended stay in the Cotswolds. Also, When two guy's have sex they can only penetrate eachother through the crack which I think is disgusting because of all the crap that's in there. They both must face the same direction and thus one guy's twig and berries will be projecting from the two. Because no man has a vagina they can't become one flesh when having normal sex. Women don't have Jimmy and his two buddies hanging around so they can't naturally penetrate eachother and become one flesh. Oral with dudes can't be natural because the legs will be poking out from different directions as will the ladies if they participate in oral sex. Oral with the opposite sex still isn't natural because you still have the leg issue and often someone is further down if they are not on top of eachother. Anal with opposites is still excluded from natural sex because once again your are sticking your think in a crap hole and a womans tits are usually projecting outward. When the Bible is speaking of becoming one flesh it literally means that there is nothing sticking out in the clear and that the man and woman are facing eachother. Face to Face. Why is it that these so called 'clean' god loving Christians are so pre-occupied with the 'filth' of sex almost to the poit of obsession, theres something seriously unsetteling about it.

Banksy is a joke though....in theory (but i heavily doubt it these days) Banksy 'should' be heavily offended by this act and against it, for it is making his work what he professed it would never be. However, saying that he's pretty much a sell out who doesn't stick by his strongly worded beliefs so he may well be in on this cashing in. one things right though.... its damn amusing, and please lets not compare Banksy to Picasso, not just because i think its an insult, but Banksy was the one eho said his 'work' would never be art!

Boring video and repulsive music - typifies absolutely everything i hate about trials videos, well apart from a million sidehops. Just mind numbingly boring to watch - same old moves not executed particularily well. If it is a repost, it certainly aint worth it!

Bullshit, i'm heading out of Notts tonight until the 31st to go home for Christmas - i have to live in this poohole while at Uni, and then as soon as a ride comes along i'm not here. Hope everyone has a good time and gets some good pictures. I need some inspiriation of new places to ride in Notts, all seems a bit dull..... have fun!

Yeah i see it everyday, its horrible and sure everyone needs to learn and improve their skills, but your right some degree student stuff is appauling and they are told/and believe they are the next big thing. However there are some amazing students and some absolutely awful professionals. For instance if i were to show my work once its made commercially available many people here could say that it was awful, not different and so on as its an opinion, but the point is i did exactly what my clients wanted, whether or not i thought it was the best design etc.... That was my problem with craigs work as they were purely self indulgent and i thought they could be less cliched...but then again its all just opinions at the end of the day so who cares what anyone else thinks other than the designer and the person paying for the work....?

When did i say that i had worked in industry for years. I worked as a freelane graphic designer in my year out, i never profesed to have done it for years only that i have done it professionaly. For obvious reasons i am unable to pass on my designs as ownership and distributory rights now lie with my clients. Various pieces of my work are in the process of being implimented so i cannot put them out at this stage. Once they are available commericaly then they can be viewed but at this time it would be a breach of rights and it would be unfair on my clients. I made my comments due to the absurdity of the bio section, it was my opinion on a public forum, Craig had his views on it and thats fine i'm not massively interested in yours. I would argue that it wasn;t determination rather than shear arrogance, what annoyed me was that when i questioned his work he responded with a ''do you know who i am'' type reply insinuating that his relevance as a trials rider should make me automatically respect him and look at him in a certain way - to me all of what he said came across as very arogant and self opinionated and i was mearly suggesting that this would probably lead to troube in the 'real' graphic design world as clients will tend not to favour this attitude. If you think i sound like a dick, then so what am i supposed to be affected by that i was giving my opinion on work put up for all to see, i was interested in Craig's response not yours. Sorry to reign on your parade, but having something that is ''saleable'' means nothing to me, sure you can make some money out of it, but thats not what i'm after nor a lot of people are. So if something sells its good? Lok at the music industry the majority of what sells is pure bullshit that appeals to the moronic masses that have no real opinions on what they're listening to - commercially driven, rushed out, drivel. On the other hand there are amazing artists who are making brilliant music which isn't commercially viable therefore it does not sell, does that then make it bad? SO in summary you think if something sells then it must be good? Also i never said i studied graphic design - I DON'T, so that blows that argument. I have not been taught one thing about graphic design from any of my tutors as it isn't what i do. One thing i must agree with though strongly is that you are 100% correct belief and interest will most defenetly get you further than a degree, that is apparent as i hate my degree and i understand that fully - thats probably why i've had a few graphic design jobs. The only thing a degree helps for is getting those interviews but once your in there they dont matter a bit - so theres arguments for either case. Hope you can understand about the freelance work.....

Thank f**k for that!

How can he go from buying such a beautiful guitar to such a horrible one? Tell him the strat is amazing, he doesn't need to bother with a Jem, Steve Vai is overrated. How much did he get the strat for tis very nice!?

My pedalboards changed a little from last time, this is how it looks now....

Take your time with it, little and often and build it up. This is a link to my myspace www.myspace.com/matthewcurrie its not techincally electro but theres lots of synths on every track and drum machines etc. The best thing to do is keep listening to music, absorb all you can. Start with one of your synth parts then maybe think about putting some drums with it, see what works. Try some vocals perhaps, just make noise with everything, don't throw ay ideas away. Let me know what you think and if you need any other help or thoughts just say! This is only a breif answer, i'll elaborate if theres anything you're going for in particular but struggeling with.
