  1. Yea guess I did ask for it....but why do you have to post some kind of question, thought it was meant to be like a "community"?
  2. Don't bothering replying then you f**king miserable c**ts! Sorry for breathing perhaps I should have posted another What "insert part name" should I get? Or whats the best "X"? Or Mod V Stock CRAP that everyone keeps posting! The topic was information - granted not as useful or "wow a new red part for my bike is now available" etc
  3. We get to ride about twice a week if we're lucky - a total of about 6-7 hrs a week and have been riding trials for about 5mths now. (Same as my mate). We're now both pedal kicking more consistently and are even getting up some pretty big curbs etc. I only started to practice my back wheel a month ago! Nothing to an experienced rider but that with proper side hopping up and across things we're doing well me thinks! Bring on the big stuff!
  4. Dude come down to the Wirral, a few of us ride New Brighton every week including some of the Mersey Trials boys and us Newbies (great to laugh at) We're there all day Sat I'll try to get some more guys down! (+it's easier than a 30 mile trip to Llan.)
  5. LOL and the tooth fairy WILL have your teeth! Be good to do both (Hill and New) - lovin New Bro at the moment.
  6. Thurstason might be cool - might be a bit hard for a fat waster like me! Weather is meant to be OK on Sat! How you going to get there?
  7. Anyone after a ride around here?? Me, my mate and some guys from the MerseyTrials are up for it - Probably New Brighton on Sunday.
  8. I'm using Shimano Hone BB/Cranks on my Trek Bruiser jump rig and they're sweet! (the same idea as the Echo and that other one) I heard ISIS loosen up quite a lot?!
  9. Yea makes sence, and sure wasn't having a go at him/guys posting. Like I said good luck to him and yea I'll do the same next time I know someone's after a booster - point them in his direction. Has he made anything else pimp? :P
  10. Is it just me that's thinking "it's just a booster"? OK so it looks good, it's a bit cheaper than the Echo et al, and maybe a bit lighter (like that much difference matters) but hell I won't be replacing mine anytime ever. How can a booster be hard to setup!?! Good luck to the guy though, got a mate who's getting one so I'll look forward to checking them out!
  11. I've got a bent Avid BB8 thing so looking for a replacement - Hope Mono Mini thing with braided hose maybe.
  12. Alright guys, In Trials is there any benefit for a larger 180 front rotor as not much heat gets into it and weights more. Surly a 160 would equally as good?! Any thoughts? -R-
  13. ......Anyone actualy go? Or am I sat here and you're all there now (Y)
  14. Think about that for a while! If the rubber absorbs some of the shock then it's also absorbing some of the energy required to tighten the bolt - so it's counterproductive. It's like a boxer's gloves. Unless you're a little 6yr old girl you should be able to tighten the bolt with a nice smooth but powerful hand turn. If you're Mr Universe you might sheer the bolt but that's a bit extreme unless a shock force is applied.
  15. I can't backhop so I don't know why I'm offering advice, but don't you have to make sure cranks are level with the floor - when I practice I notice mine are ratchet back a bit causing backward movement.
  16. I get the double butted stainless bit, but what gauge? Chris King hub 32 spoke, I guess 14 gauge? Any particular make spoke?
  17. LOL this post has made my day, narhh week. Pure class. It's hard to get sarcasm and the delicate intricacies of a point across on the web sometimes. I think we're all as bad (or good) as each other, I guess it's the people who don't take it to heart are the ones who came out of this best. Anyway glad to see we're actually talking about wheels nearly 3 pages later! What kind of spokes do you guys recommend? I've always thought building a wheel way to hard to get "perfect" (by that I mean strong and as straight as can be) without taking many years!? I'll deffo check out that site - cheers. -R- http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php?date=2004-03-19&res=l
  18. You're obviously insecure about something? Mummy didn't breast feed you enough/too much? Oh no it makes sense now, your father ran off with another woman or used to hit your mum, probably when you were what - 4 years old? leaving your Oedipus complex unresolved and you associated with the behaviors of your father. I think you've proved that you're less intelligent than the 15 year old on this subject. Your, "witty" retorts only reinforce this with sweeping overgeneralizations such as Wayne Rooney MUST be a genius - failing to grasp the meaning behind what I said. You then go on to rearrange someones post to make him look like a fool - making other people look small (and thus in your mind you big) is stereotypical of someone who is insecure with themselves. Your name under you avatar is "butt pilot" Hummm yea mature aint you! So yea seems nearly everyone - you included - thinks Adam is the guy to talk to! (Oh and don't call me a child, I'm 26)
  19. Free on Sat and Sun, but Sunday best for me.
  20. Oooh do I sense some tension here? What's with disin' 15yr olds? I've seen some awesome 15yr old trial riders so they obviously know some shit! Cheers for the advice guys -R-
  21. As usual I've got my eye on this one. I'm totally pathetic though and would be shamed into jumping into the Mersey, but wouldn't be able to do it on my bike, I'm THAT bad!
  22. Alright guys, Due to some dodgy looking spokes and a slight buckle, thinking about getting a rebuild. Question is, what's the best way to get them done? When I take it to the shop (who have always built me a good wheel) is there anything I need to specifically ask for? ie gauge spokes, what type of rim tape, special way to lace spokes? etc Running a tryall drilled on chris king classic. Thanks guys, -R-
  23. I've got; King classic on Trials Hope bulb on XC/Jump
  24. Just noticed them on the Echo site, not bad as it's for my Echo (with red pimp bits) Cheers -R-
