got a sunroof? they can be phookin heavy! (205 gti ones are anyways ) you could remove it then tape in a sheet of light plastic for the time being. body trim, ditch it if you wanna go to extremes - less oil, less coolant, less brake fluid

either harder springs like le trials punk said or get a lighter engine and as for the torsion bar, as long as the dampers allow, you can rotate the torsion bars relative to the beam!
