  1. actually i think its 1040 if you want to be picky lol. but its ruffly round that. your forks will alter the wheelbase aswell dont forget.
  2. i thought it was fair stupid unless he got some money to get a new frame and still even if you did there was still no point , theres was on need to snapp it he could of got it welded up and the frame would have been alrite then. thats what i did with my old t-poo and it was alrite.
  3. wait till tomorro and ring tartybikes, cant be sure whether they'll no. they'll no the frame only but not sure about the whole bike. there no harm in asking though.
  4. i agree with all the other replies, another thing that really helps to bring on your ridin is go out and ride with other people that are learning and people that are also better than you as these people will push you and show you how to do the techniques rather than you reading about them. also watching videos that can help.
  5. bb7 all the way they are amazing. it cost you nothing to buy a new cable every 6 months or so compared to a bleed. i love mine and would buy another with out hesitation. your payin more for a hope brake, that has more chance of braking and locks the same.theres so much more to go wrong on a hope and its not worth the hasle to be honest. if you are set on a hope brake though get a 180 hope mini there bout £100 and work amazingly they lock up really good, but still theres just to much hasle compared to a avid
  6. are you joking they are strong rims, i must object they are s**t rims. that was my old one and it had, had three grinds. and theres another big dent on the other side. iwouldnt touch another one of them rims even if i was running a smooth rim. http://img54.imageshack.us/my.php?image=camerapics0105fm.jpg back on topic im using koxx blues and i think they are amzing on a grind theyhold really well and have a great wear rate. the good thing is they have a good hold even on a dead grind. and unlike hard compund pads like koxx browns they dont wear your gring down quickly. im so impressed im think ov buying a secound pair
  7. when the pads push against the rim, they push with such a great force that the frame pushes outwards and this gives your brake a spongy feeling. a brake booster fits on your brake mounts, there like a brace i supose. they stop as much of the flex as they can. im running a echo 2 bolt booster and have found it to be great. it has really stiffend my brake up, its the same as the 4 bolt one really so i would recomend ither one of them.
  8. if your going to cut the hose down and do it like onzaboymark said, do it like that then, if you want to bleed it you can bleed it in the bath by undoing the little grub screw next to the lever and the bolt on the cyclinder and then just pumping the lever under water. and replace the bolts under water and its bled. other wise buy a bleed kit from heatsink bikes for £7 and using search learn how to use it.
  9. i have heard the same aswell, i shoud think that is the reason it makes sense
  10. looks nasty mate they take ages to heal up, and they leave a scare . i hate it because they just scab over and dont heal for months. hope it heals soon
  11. i say that i havnt got to that part in the magazine yet lol. and i also have wrote on the back of my helmet if u find my seat please call ................. but yeah it is a very annoyin question, but theres loads of other annoyin questions like do a backflip or put some oil on your brakes. but you get over it and carry on rideing
  12. have you thought of having your frame anodised, i got a ruff price of about £25 when i was thinking of doing it to mine. any anodisers should do it for you just look them up in the yellow pages.

    Stem

i dont no if a high rise stem makes the bike more flicky but they do generally suit a rider that does moves such as bunnyhops ect the streetier moves. and i wunt say they are only for high rise bb, but they are usually used by people with a high bb to counter the bb. a lower rise stem usually suits a person who does more technical moves but its entirely up to you.
  14. onza t-pros are the best starter mod bike and the best value for money. plus with your budget you will have money left over for up grades. have a look on www.tartybikes.co.uk. i strongly recommend this bike as i used to have one and so willl many others. they are only £420 so you will be able to get one comfortably.
  15. i would surgest the best tool for the job would be an angle grinder, just wear some safty glass and have fun . nah im jokein just use a screw driver and hammer like people have suggested, just make sure you go slowly and things should be fine.

    Gcses

im doing them aswell at the moment but im not finding them stressfull really. only time i get stressed is when i find a paper hard and no ive done bad in it. ive got science this afternoon and am dreading that though because i dent do much work in class in that subject, which im regreting, but i think i'll pull through. anyways good luck to everyone else
  17. save your money and buy new parts or a frame. but if your set on spraying it then what about brown, i no someone has done it with a stock and its a different colour. also orange is a colour that will make you stand out. but my advice is just save your money, i thought about having my bike done but just saved he money for my bike brakes because they always do.
  18. cheers for all the replys, ive finally got them in the bike and the bite really well, but the wear rate doesnt seem to be any good. one last question what do you make your homemade pads out of JASON CLARK as ive been trying to make my own for a while with no sucsess
  19. what do you make your homemades out of
  20. i used search and got the odd topic put it didnt have much of a review. anyway i'd like to no what you all think of koxx blues i've bought some but dont have chance to use them yet as the bikes broke. im gunna use them on a grind, so please just say what you think of them
  21. have it a deep orange colour that would look well smart and spray the forks black. its something no one else has as well.if u want to see what the bike will look like a different colour take a picture and photoshop it with the different colours you want.
  22. like a relpy above sed go to SheldonBrown.com and use there guide i used it and it was very helpful. make sure you take your time, and if need be, be prepair to start all over again.
  23. its all about preference, ride a high bb bike first and see if you like it. then go from there. you will just get mixed responses off people on here, the best way is to ride the widest range of bikes you can
  24. read the guide lines before you post again, and this topic will be getting closed
  25. i run a zoo stem and love it, my bike is alot better on the back wheel. low rise stems arnt suit to moves such as bunnyhops and manuals. so if you use a bunnyhop to get up a ledge ect i wunt recomend a low rise stem. but otherwise they're great
