Technically, the fold point of 26" rims will be subjected to larger forces than 20" rims, but I'm not sure whther a larger rim can spread the force evenly around the rim more so than a 20" rim, meaning they both can take the same amount of force? (Theoretically that is *cough*06 Echo rims*cough*)
