  1. Oh right, didn't know that. Thought they only went by the engine size.
  2. That's if you get a VTEC I have a normal 130bhp 1.6, it's still stupidly quick.
  3. Can't you just wait 12 hours and call them? Surely they'll be more than happy to sort this problem out.
  4. Dunno what the insurance depends on in the UK but it's got a small 1.6 engine. I'd be surprised if it was expensive to insure.
  5. I always recommend CRXes because they're really reliable, cheap to run and so much fun. Not sure you'll get a decent one for 1 grand tough. I bought mine back in 2004 in the UK for 1250, it had 40k miles on the clock but frankly that was a bargain. Might have been because it was left hand drive?
  6. I don't agree with that. You can get good braking on a smooth rim but for a brake which relies on friction, a grind will always improve performance. And as mentioned above, Cousts are great for smooth rims even though they're super hard.
  7. Phone, wallet, ipod, tar, 4/5/8mm allen keys, spoke key and a camera+tripod when I'm in the mood for filming.
  8. Yeah, that guy posted this video last year. Really good riding there.
  9. Good topic I think it'd have to be natural, especially jumping around on small roundish rocks as quickly as possible without correction hops and without using your brakes unless you have to. It's just so much fun. As for single moves, it's got to be sidehops, especially when you manage to stall on the rear wheel for a few seconds before jumping. It just feels so good.
  10. I wonder if you can pedalkick or wheelie that thing.
  11. I was actually looking at these bars on a downhill bike today and wondering if anybody was using them for trials. For some reason I wouldn't trust them, they're not carbon fibre reinfoced, they're fully carbon fibre. Hope they're ok with you mate. Great looking bike, it's interesting how few trials-specific parts you need to build up a mod.
  12. Bump... Have you got any other vids of him?
  13. Fully original ZOO Python build from 2004. Not that I'd want to ride a mod but I really want something like that hanging on my wall. Actually, I've been building one up for a few months now but it will never be 100% original.
  14. Thanks. Thought it was something new, looks like I was wrong It's fun to learn new variations of common tricks though
  15. Nope, completely missed it. Don't deal in Monty Just wait, it's only 5 days.
  16. Dunno if this has been mentioned but wait till the 1st of July before getting any light bits. Not allowed to elaborate, sorry.
  17. Hows your remix going?
  18. I went out today after watching this OTN "how to" pisstake video to try and do the Vincent move and found it impossible mainly because I just don't have the power to pedalkick ahead and upwards so high. So I thought it would be a good idea to add a tap to the pedalkick which actually made pedalkicking ahead&upwards piss easy. It's similar to switchfoot tapping from rear wheel but so much easier because you don't have to backhop swich-footed and it requires almost no run-up. Haven't seen anybody do this yet so here's a vid. Would be interesting to see how high it's possible to do this so yeah, if you're a powerful rider give it a go. This one's only about 90cm. There's also a quater crank rotation touchhop in the 3rd clip but I've seen Rowlands do that a few years ago on a Giant so I guess it's nothing new. Trials-Forum Video ->Full View • Download • Upload
  19. Found that strangely interesting and fun to watch. Very good rider by the way. how old is this? edit: downloaded it and read all the comments, so funny typical OTN humor off to try and learn the Vincent move...
  20. I don't like big riding, in fact I hate it. But in this video, I must have said f**king hell about 15 times. Never thought I'd say this about your riding, but it's absolutely amazing. Especially this vid and your previous one where you've clearly started thinking about doing technical stuff and lines. You're going in the right direction man, a bit more creative and you'll be one of the most amazing riders around. That thing where you ride up onto the rail and then do a 90deg rotation - f**k me, I would be surprised to see Danny Mac do something as technical as that

Smoooth riding there. Really enjoyed that

Can I watch this online? Really can't wait till it's put up on a torrent
  23. Yup, front and rear 26" tryall tape - 72g
  24. I say BB5's. From my experience they're better than BB7's. edit: Just read the thread, a rear Hope will be much better. I ran a BB7/BB5 on the rear of my stock (yeah I know it's a bit different on 26") and in order to get enough power out of the brake, the speed dial adjuster on the lever had to be at it's maximum setting. This meant an extremely spongy brake which isn't safe because you need to completely release the lever for the brake to let go. I went over the bars a few times because the brake just didn't release. With Hopes you won't have such a problem because they're stiffer. I used a 180 Mono Trial on my old mod and trust me, it NEVER slipped. Not a single time in like 8 months. You can avoid the spongyness by getting a bigger rotor and not using the speed dial knob. Your lever will be stiff and you'll still have a lot of braking power. Anyway, if I were to use a rear disc, I'd go for a Hope Mono Trial despite it being very pricey.
