  5. I was waiting this question My avid ultimate had broken, so i have put it on so that i can still ride, it is surprisingly good actualy, quite liking it.... Um, not as light as i would have hoped, it weighed in at 10.9kg when i weighed it at tartybikes, but that was with the try-all stem and the un-lathed bash..... Adam
  6. Why? It does its job perfectly well, i will admit it could do with a clean, it is starting to rust abit still looks alot better than alot of the home made ones! Front rim is a DX32 which are 38mm ish and i did the holes with a file, unfortunatly i don't think there is a better way Adam

  9. Oh dear, i have taken great offence from that comment Glynn, i am still cornish! just cornish in foreign land Adam
  10. Well that is not 100% true, as currently i am living in coventry, which makes the journey only around 2.20hrs Adam

  13. Me drunk at the freshers ball back at uni, once again with my tongue out (this happens alot in drunken pics ) My placement work at Terex Compact, playing with diggers My bedroom, completely empty the day i moved into the house in coventry... Adam
  14. It is not actualy that simple as you have to make sure that the sprocket is central on the spring steel, as otherwise if it is not the steel will twist, on mine the spring steel is around 1n inch across where the bolt fix's it to the L bracket, but where the sprocket is bolted it is only 10mm ish, so that the sprocket sits inline with where the bolt holds it onto the L bracket, if you can understand what i am saying.... Adam
  15. Un true, the +40mm meas that it is possible to use a 180mm rotor with a front 160mm caliper and a 200mm rotor with a front 180mm (rear 160mm iso) caliper. I had a rear 200mm 06 hope on my bike and it was VERY good, only thing that made me change to a rim brake again was that the spoke flex put me off on certain moves. Adam
  16. Heres one of my own: oh dear And my bike had a baby: Awsome pics there dude! Adam
  17. Give rock pad blues a try dude, i am SERIOUSLY impressed with them! i have been running a vee since last crimbo and have broken it so put a magura on, with some rock blues and a seriously light grind and it is a very good brake, considering keeping it on for a while now Adam
  18. Looks alot like solid works to me....... Adam
  19. Haha, i know my tensioner may look weak, but i have hit that sooooo many times and it just keeps bouncing back, it would outlast a mech on a trials bike easily, i look at all these ones that people are making now and i have to say they are ok, but the way you mount the sprocket is quite important, like the one above with the carbon cog, having a big C shapped bracket is just begging to be broken, if you can make it so that the bolt that the cog bolts to go straight onto the spring steel it is alot better! (That is what mine is like, it has a small block of alu with a hole for the bolt for the sprocket, i can get pics for people if they want them). Adam
  20. It had cannondale fattys, blue ones, but Rob has built it up as a cross country bike for his girl friend! Adam

    V!z Forks

The new viz forks have a once piece steerer with a threaded top cap, similar to the one on onza smart guys, TMS and Atomz forks. Personaly dude i would go for the Viz forks, they may be a tad longer but if the controls are anything like the ones i had the discmount will crack quickly (unless you don't do large front wheel stuff u may be ok with controls.) Tartybikes have the viz forks on there site, go have a ganders. Adam
