  1. Looks like me on my way to work! Do you have any more details on the car? Sounds like it's on bodies, but would be surprised if it only made 180bhp it's a sport with an F4R 2 litre. If it's a K4M 1.6, then that would explain it and would be a hell of an engine!
  2. Gutted to hear this, after how welcoming he and Sue were to the trials community at DJs funeral. My wishes with the family.
  3. The Clio lives another year, passing first time with 3 advisories, for tyres and brake pads! I also have something fun lined up by way of a rebuilt gearbox complete with Quaife...
  4. Would definitely be cool to get a handful of people at a trackday together. Donington is pretty close to Curby, so seems like a good choice!
  5. Also worth going through the fuse box in the engine bay with some electrical cleaner. Mine was turning over but not starting, went through the fuse box and it worked again. No issues since.

    New Mtb Advice

So this was approximately what I was looking at when I got mine. Personally I think the direct sales companies have the most going for them, sepc/£ at least. Rose Bikes, Canyon, Bird all have incredibly decent options well below £2000, even a base YT Capra can be had for sub 2k. Also still some 2016 bikes on sale that are good value as well. What type of riding are you going to be going? Trails or XC? Got loads of Downhill near you? For me, I wanted 150mm travel front and back, as I live near a few trails, along with Rogate DH, Tidworth freeride and BPW is within reach for a long weekend, and I wanted a bike to do it all. I also live 5 mins from the head office of Bird, so being able to go and meet them, try all the frames and components was what swung it. If all you've got is big climbs, a shorter travel bike would probably be a nicer ride, but if you have a nice trail centre with uplift, 160mm+ would probably be the way to go.
  7. I have re-entered the world of bicycling with a blackBird. The bike is fast, I am slow.
  8. Not gonna be road legal for much longer at this rate!
  9. That does look ace... So when you getting rid of all the glass etc?
  10. I can say from spending evening with a multi-meter chasing electrical faults, bollocks to all that! Gonna look sweet when you're done though, Dann.
  11. Car works. Checked and cleaned the crank sensor, removed and cleaned relays and fuses. Checked spark, had spark. Checked fuel, had fuel. Started car, ran car. Started car 5 more time, ran car 5 more times. That will do for now, but I'm going to get some electrical cleaner and work on the fuse/relay box. In fact the entire engine bay could use a clean.
  12. Shims might be then wrong description, but there's little stainless bits that sit at the tops and bottoms of the front calipers and hold the pads. Doubt it's the filter, as it runs perfectly when it did start, always run it on vpower.
  13. All the shims and bits still in between the pads and calipers? My Clio has decided it will not start. At all. It turns over, but never starts. No bump starts either. New battery and still nothing, different keys etc, checked fuses, earths etc etc. All I can think of to check is for sparks and if fuel is pumping, but not sure the best way to do that, any ideas?
  14. Doubt you'll be disappointed by the 1144s, but I think you will want more if you get on track.

    Holidays

Should be good, especially as I've never travelled east. Any recommendations for trips/things to do/places to eat?
  16. I like my Mintex 1144s on the road, enough of an upgrade at a reasonable price. Did fade after 3 back to back laps at Curborough though.
  17. Brembo OEMs can be had for £45 for the pair from here.

    Holidays

Have a week in Hong Kong followed by a week in Japan at the end of September. Can't f**king wait.
  19. Nice! I've been watching B is for Build recently, he has plenty of content and has a decent have a go attitude.
  20. I think so long as you get a nice smooth coat it will look alright, to be fair.
  21. Grey looks Gash Dan, do black.
  22. Like Dann says, specialist for the belts does matter. No idea who Origin Automotive are, would be surprised if they had the tool to lock the cams and pulleys for a belt change. Personally would take it to a specialist after purchasing and have the belts done regardless of the receipt provided. Doubt you'd need a dephaser as that was done anyway. So I'd probably say £1300 tops, then expect £400 for the belts to be done. That should give your a solid car with no real worries.
  23. Looking a Lamborghini Huracán, write off with working engine, let me know...
